Kindred Cambridge is located in the heart of Cambridge, its cosy and homely atmosphere ensures that children achieve the best possible start to life with resources and opportunities to allow them to develop and grow.

The dedicated staff team take time to get to know every child attending the nursery and interact with all children.

Every child has a passionate key person who will track your child's progress daily and feed back to you at the end of the busy day.

The under 2's rooms hold a maximum of 9 children in each room, this allows the children to develop and grow in a warm, cosy and spacious environment.

The baby room is located in a separate flat adjoining the nursery, which has a separate sleeping room for babies. The 2-3 year olds and pre-school share a large room with a wide range of resources and constant free flow to the well-equipped garden area.

The individual needs of each child at the nursery are met through a range of care, fun and learning and parents are regularly encouraged to become involved with nursery events and open nursery sessions.

The pre-school class visit the local residential home every week and play with their elderly friends there, this wonderful intergenerational interaction is great for their confidence and social and communication skills.

A parents evening is held twice a year and a monthly newsletter is sent to parents to allow them to keep up to date with the nursery’s most recent activities.

All staff are regularly DBS checked, paediatric first aid, safeguarding and food hygiene trained.

Our son has been attending Kindred in Cambridge for around ten months and our experience has been overwhelmingly positive. The staff are all incredibly friendly, caring and fantastic with the children. One thing we have found particularly useful is how the children's day is logged including their food,
sleep and mood, which we have found really helps with maintaining consistency.

My wife and I feel not only safe when we leave our toddler every day at Kindred Cambridge, but also happy. Independently of who receives our baby every morning, they always smile and receive him warmly. The baby is no longer upset when we take him to the nursery. The people taking care of the babies
seem engaged with them. They are constantly sending update pictures and videos through an app so that you can track your baby´s daily activities and development. The room in which my baby is staying has sunlight, a controlled warm temperature and plenty of toys and tools to encourage the little ones in lots of activities safely. I would recommend Kindred Cambridge.

My son started sunflower just before his first birthday so I was able to go back to work part-time. He settled in so well and I know this is due to the amazing staff! They are so friendly, welcoming and of a caring nature. They all know my son's name whether or not they work in the room he is in. My
son is now almost two and walks into nursery and waves goodbye to me! He always sleeps and eats well (the food is excellent) and he has so much fun! The app they use is brilliant and throughout the day I can check what he's been up to and while working sending them a message is very easy. His transition from the baby room to the toddler room was very well planned out and he has such a good relationship with both key workers he has had so far. I highly recommend this nursery, I leave knowing my son is safe, cared for and having the best time!

My 2-year-old daughter has been attending this nursery for the past year and we have been really happy with her progress. Staff are very friendly and supportive, my child is happy every day there, there are regular updates, and both children and parents are valued. Different activities every day and
more fun on special occasions. It is a shame that outdoor space is limited, but children are encouraged to spend a lot of time outside.

My son adores pretty much every aspect of the nursery, the staff follow him closely and is enthusiastic about his development. The equipment they have is varied and frequently distributed in highly creative ways. The food is also highly varied and the children get to experience world celebrations.

This is a small nursery with an extremely friendly feel. Kids have plenty of outdoor time with a sweet little garden for free flow play. There is also plenty of equipment to keep the children well entertained, with different activities offered each day.
The staff are wonderful. They are so kind to
the children and work extremely hard to create fun interesting activities for them.
The food is all freshly cooked, and my daughter devours every morsel, refusing to leave before she’s had her tea! The food is healthy, with plenty of fresh fruit and vegetables.
Parents are kept well informed daily of the activities the children have participated in via a fantastic app. Regular detailed progress reports re your child’s progress in relation to the early year's key stages are provided. Parents are also regularly given suggestions on activities to do with children, including various local or online resources available.
This is a wonderful, caring little nursery, which I highly recommend.

The team are absolutely amazing who look after my daughter. She comes home from nursery every day with a huge smile on her face and lots of stories to tell, which gives me so much peace of mind. I've sent both my children here, and they've been very happy. There is a fairly large age difference between them, and it's great that they have staff stability so that quite a few of the teachers from the older child are still with there the younger. Really happy to recommend.

My two daughters love the nursery, they love the staff and all of the activities. I particularly like the fact that it's a small nursery. I found that they take their time for each child's needs. Two of my neighbors followed me there, and they are very happy too!

Both our children love Sunflower Nursery. The staff are really caring and attentive to their individual needs. We really appreciate the support we get as parents in talking through their progress and any issues they have. Activities are varied and well planned, and often inspired by the children themselves,
which is a lovely touch. The children get plenty of time outside in all the rooms and are taken on fun trips in the local area. During the pandemic, the staff have gone above and beyond to provide as much normality to the children as possible in a safe way.

Our daughter has been at Sunflower since she was 8-months-old, so she has passed through all the different rooms there (snowdrops, bluebells and poppies). She has loved every room and all the different staff who she has been in contact with. Since coronavirus has happened, the nursery has been really
