My son has been going to Saint Felix Nursery for over a year now and we and he are very happy. He loves going in each day and always bounds out with lots of stories of his day and talks often about his friends and his teachers, especially one particular lady. Recently there has been some staff disruption
and we know things are really tough in the childcare sector but they have weathered this well. If I had anything negative it would be around the use of the app which still isn't quite as slick as it maybe could be and the food and nutritional elements. The children are often given cake and sweet treats and I do think in this day and age when we know how harmful sugar is to our children that this shouldn't be happening. But that is my own personal preference. We have loved Saint Felix, it's no more expensive than any other nursery and you get more for your money than anywhere else locally.
I hope the current staff are looked after and rewarded by the management at Saint Felix as they sure do deserve it.

A lovely, professional and nurturing environment for our son. He enjoys going to nursery and really engages well with both staff and other students. A great mix of play inside (soft play) outside play, forest school, swimming and additional progression (in reception classes - helping towards skills
for) school start, learning social skills and good table manners over lunch.

St Felix Nursery provides our child with a nurturing and supportive environment, with lovely teachers and brilliant support staff. Our daughter has formed lovely bonds with her teachers, and time has been taken to get to know our child as an individual. From making junk models in the spacious classroom
to outside play in the lovely nursery garden our daughter loves her time spent at St Felix Nursery.

Our daughter absolutely loves nursery (runs in), and we feel her care providers know her really well even though she only started this term.
Everything about the nursery is excellent, and we are so pleased we moved her here.
My only feedback would be the sad loss of the outdoor play equipment (lighthouse
etc), which does not seem to be being replaced.

My son is so excited every morning to attend the nursery. He misses his friends and staff during the holidays. I know he is well looked after and he is happy when he is there. He can recall what he has learnt, and I see his personal development. Also, I appreciate the daily communication with his teachers
verbally, written and online. I will send my second child to Saint Felix Nursery as I believe this is the best in the area.

My son attends this nursery. On his recent report, he was encouraged to complete 'child's voice' and this is what he said, "school is lovely. I love all my school friends. I really want to go to school every day and on the weekend. I love my teachers because they work very hard".
My husband and I are
very happy, and especially with our son's social and educational development. We were so pleased when he learnt how to write is name by himself and was able to interact with other children so well - he experienced high anxiety with other children.
I totally recommend and will place our future children in this nursery.

My daughter absolutely loves going to nursery! I think she’d rather be there than at home sometimes. She always comes home with a smile on her face.
She really loves all her learning and the staff at Saint Felix nursery. She has grown in confidence and is able to develop her skills in a safe environment.
She has access to some excellent facilities such as swimming and is given the opportunity to learn French! She often counts in French now rather than English, aged just 3!
I feel confident every morning dropping her off that she is going to have a happy, fun-filled day.

We would highly recommend Saint Felix Nursery to anybody thinking of joining. Our child has come on leaps and bounds since joining. He is quite young for his year, but they nurtured and encouraged him.

Our experience with St Felix Nursery was all positive, our child just grew from strength to strength in all areas of his development. The staff were always professional, approachable and nurturing toward the children. The staff always had a rotation of exciting activities planned, and our child enjoyed
them all, from learning about nature and making use of the secure school grounds, to expressive work with paints and art materials, through to exploring music.
Our child absolutely loved going into the nursery; he never looked back, just enjoyed every moment.

Current Review Score: 7.8 (7.750)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 7.8 (7.750) out of 10 for Saint Felix Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.3 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.5 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.292 for Saint Felix Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) + (7 Goods x 4) + (5 Satisfactorys x 3) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.292

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.458 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Saint Felix Nursery is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 30 number of registered child places is 6. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 6 = 0.333

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
