The nursery has a highly qualified, caring team that supports children throughout every step of their development to ensure they have the best start in life. There is also a a dedicated baby room, where the team are able to care for children who still need lots of close care and attention. This space has cots and a sensory play area.

Busy Bees follows the EYFS (Early Years Foundation Stage) framework to help prepare children for the next stage in their educational journey. The enthusiastic staff plan and prepare activities in line with the framework so children can learn all whilst having fun.

  • Full Week Monday to Friday 7:30AM 6:00PM 0-3's £295.50 3-5's £275.00, Full Day 7:30AM 6:00PM 0-3's £66.50 3-5's £61, Morning 7:30AM 1:00PM 0-3's £37 3-5's £33, Afternoon 1:00PM 6:00PM 0-3's £35 3-5's £33, Short day 8:30am-3:30pm 0-3's £61 3-5's £56

  • They have a variety of 15-hour and 30-hour funding spaces available - please call to find out more information. Fees will include all meals, prepared on site by their Nursery Chef, from their seasonal 6 week rota of NHS accredited menus. Sibling Discounts also available (Terms & Conditions apply). Additional Information: There is a Registration Fee payable to secure your place of £100, £50 of which will be taken off of your first invoice. Fees are based on 52 weeks per year, paid monthly in advance, until children get to funding age. A minimum booking of 2 sessions per week is required. Fees to be paid monthly by direct debit, vouchers or TFC payments. No refunds will be given for sickness or holidays. Fees are reviewed annually every September. The nursery will be closed on all Bank Holidays (normal charges still apply).

  • Ipswich Pinewood have a large accessible car park to make dropping off and collecting of children easy. They also have a clearly marked disabled parking space at the front of the building, for easier access if families require this.

Our little boy has been going to Busy Bees Pinewood since he was 9 months old and we cannot speak highly enough of the nursery. All the staff are so friendly and really take the time to get to know the children and the parents too. We always feel we are updated with what our little boy is doing and
that they really help with his progress.

My daughter has attended the nursery since seven months old and she has honestly thrived and grown so much since then. The whole atmosphere of the nursery is amazing and everyone is so friendly too, such amazing activities go on in the baby room and I can tell when I pick her up she's had so much fun!
Her interactions with others have massively improved and this is definitely down to the activities that promote this area. She really enjoys the meals that get cooked for her at the nursery and I am just so pleased with how well looked after she really is. All the staff go above and beyond to care for my little girl and it doesn't go unnoticed.

Both my children have been cared for at Busy Bees Pinewood since they were 11 months old. It is such a welcoming place, and although it is hard to leave your little ones, it makes it so much easier knowing they are in such a wonderful environment. It feels like a family. My son is 7. Everyone still
remembers his name and takes time to have a chat with him too. Would recommend to anyone. Friendly staff who genuinely care for your children.

Overall I was satisfied with the nursery over the years my son spent there. Babies rooms are very good sensory and care too. Preschool is excellent in every meaning, care, activities, staff, food and drink. My son has lots of interesting things and built and a very good relationship with his key worker.
Thank you for your brilliant and lovely staff (including office and kitchen staff) and for looking after my son over the past years. We are very grateful.

Both of my girls have attended Busy Bees at Ipswich Pinewood.
The older one has just left having attended since 10 months old and is now school ready and my younger one is in the baby room.
The level of care for my girls has always been excellent and their key workers have met with me and spoken at
handovers at length about how they are getting on and helped to settle them in. It's a lovely learning environment with friendly welcoming staff who genuinely care for your children.

We have found Busy Bees Pinewood to be excellent, from management staff to the wonderful ladies looking after our son. After an emotional start when our son was 9 months we have been reassured every step of the way! They cater well for his dietary needs and we always collect a very happy little boy!
I always recommend the nursery to everyone and anyone!

My son started nursery in 2016 at 10 months old, I had every emotion running through me and I was assured by the very caring and well-managed team every time I dropped off, picked up or phoned that my son was loving his time at Busy Bees at Ipswich Pinewood. My son has thrived from being at this nursery
and the team that work here do everything to make sure his best interests are cared for. As a first-time parent, I felt comfortable in asking the staff if/when there were things I should be doing to further his development or things he should be achieving that he yet wasn't, and I was always given positive answers and feedback on how my son was developing. I'm sad to think that he will be leaving this place next year for school. The children really are the heart of Busy Bees at Ipswich Pinewood.

We have been at the nursery since October 2017 and have been very pleased since day one!
The care my son has received since he was 9 months old has been great and the reports and photos we receive let's us track his day.
His key person is great as well as all the other staff members in roos.

My daughter has attended this nursery since March 2017. I was really worried about returning to work after a year of maternity leave and had visited several nurseries to ensure I chose the right one. I can honestly say, from the moment I walked through the door, I knew this was the nursery for my daughter.
Being a teacher myself, I suppose you could say I can be extremely critical of educational institutes. Busy Bees Pinewood showed from the word 'Go' that my daughter was their number one focus.
Staff are friendly, caring, efficient, supportive of the children as individuals and strive to ensure they have the best learning experiences and feel comfortable in their environment.
I'm happy to say, my daughter loves attending nursery...in fact, she's so eager to get in that my husband and/or I no longer get a kiss from her before she runs off to join in with the fun!
This is a lovely nursery, with lovely staff - I would recommend this to anyone looking for a nursery for their child, 100%.

Lovely, caring and flexible nursery. All staff are welcoming and make the place have a great feel to it.
The ethos is what attracted us and the day to day living of it keeps us there. Love the variety of activities offered. Our daughter is always happy and content when we pick her up. Only criticism
is I wished her nose was wiped more. Great support when potty training.

Our son has attended this nursery since he was 12 months old, he loves every minute of being there. When we pull up in the mornings he claps his hands and starts shouting excitedly "Bees Bees". The Nursery is clean, modern, well equipped, has a good layout and is spacious. We especially like the garden
area, as different age groups have their own outdoor space. The activities in each of the rooms give the children variety, enjoyment plus the ability to learn through play. We are always fully aware of our child's development through daily communication and regular parents evenings. The Nursery has a lovely seasonal food menu providing home-made meals each day. The Staff are fantastic: friendly, dedicated, capable and responsive. Our son has built strong bonds with his key persons, who have really nurtured his learning and his personal development. We have found Busy Bees to be professionally run and the staff strive for continuous improvement. We have no hesitation in recommending Busy Bees.

My child has attended the nursery for a year now and I can honestly say my child loves going and I never have any doubts leaving her. She can't wait to see her key person each day and never wants to come home!
The staff are fantastic and all are so friendly and welcoming. The manager is also very
accommodating to all our needs as a family.

My son attends Busy Bees Nursery, Pinewood branch and I would like to pass on my thanks to members of staff. When my son started at the nursery he was a very fussy eater, both there and at home, not only did the aforementioned staff liaise directly with the kitchen to produce more bespoke meals to entice
my son into eating better, I have witnessed them spending extra time and attention on him during mealtimes. They have done this in a careful manner to nurture his eating whilst ensuring mealtimes remain fun and not a chore. Staff were also very professional and liaised with my wife very closely on their progress and how they were conducting themselves, they advised on best practice for continuing improvements whilst away from the nursery. My wife has found this to be a critical factor in helping her at home and cannot tell me enough how much it has made her appreciate the staff and their team spirit with parents. Warmest regards.

Job Title: Centre Director

Hello my name is Sam, and welcome to Busy Bees Ipswich Pinewood. 


I have been working in childcare for nearly 18 years, hold a L3 in childcare and management qualification and have been with the Pinewood Centre for the last 14 years, working my way up through various positions, to become Centre Director in September 2023. 


I am passionate about delivering the best care for our children and supporting my dedicated and long standing team to provide exciting and stimulating environments, so that our children can thrive and learn through their play, in a home from home environment. 


My team and I look forward to welcoming you into our Centre and we are excited for your family to join the Busy Bees journey!
