A WELCOMING AND ENRICHING NURSERY IN BURY ST EDMUNDS

The spacious Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool combines excellent facilities with caring, experienced staff to support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.
Each light and airy room has an array of fun and educational resources to encourage curiosity and development. Children are inspired to learn through exploration and play, so babies discover new textures, sounds and sights with sensory play, and exciting music and movement sessions. Older children stretch their imagination in the role-play area, and employ critical thinking skills while playing with loose parts or constructing with building blocks.

All rooms at Bury St Edmunds nursery have freeflow access to the large multi-surfaced garden, giving children the option to enjoy nature at any time. Children love the wide-open space, balancing tyres and climbing frame. Younger children have a separate garden with soft flooring and a smaller climbing frame to help build their muscles and encourage their physical development.

The unique Ready for School programme supports children in their transition to primary school. They learn the basics of early reading, writing and mathematics, alongside creative pursuits in the nursery's Creative Cooks and Growing Artists enhancements. The team also teaches children to self-serve at mealtimes, use cutlery, make friendships and work together. The holistic approach to both academic and life skills helps children to develop confidence and interest in a wide range of areas.

From day 1 when our son transitioned to Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool, the care received and individualised learning and developing plan was outstanding. The staff are caring and know each child so well and is evident in the day to day interactions with them. The planned
activities are thoughtful and enjoyed by the children.

We have been using Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool for over 3 years and through every stage of our son's nursery life we have found the staff to be kind, caring and supportive. We cannot fault their enthusiasm and passion and have found our experience to be excellent. The facilities
are brilliant and the food is varied and nutricious. We have loved our time so much thst our daughter now goes as well. We couldn't recommend this nursery more.

Over the past three years, we have seen the confidence and ability of our child develop fantastically.


The staff have always been caring and despite the morning drop-off being a tearful experience our child now happily goes to play with friends in the morning.

During our daughter's time here, we have always found Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool to be fantastic in all respects. We cannot fault the level of care. Staff are professional, friendly and always approachable.


Our little girl has thrived in her time here and we wouldn't

hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone else.


Our daughter will miss everyone at Tassel Road but I feel like she has been brilliantly prepared for going to school.

My daughter's development has been huge during her time at Tassel

When my child started nursery, he was quite shy but teachers helped him get over that.


My child is always happy when he gets home from nursery. He is going for half a day but he would be happy to come for a full day.

I would highly recommend Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool. The staff are very attentive, caring and informative.


Learning and development are key in the day to day activities and I have seen a clear progression in my child's behaviour and abilities.

My son loves attending nursery and playing with all his friends he has made. The staff are excellent and couldn't be more helpful or supportive. He often doesn't want to leave to come home and talks about his experiences and his keyworker with affection and pride.

I cannot rate this nursery highly enough. From the day my son started (at 9 months old) the compassion to my needs as a mummy and his needs as an inquisitive and active little boy have been met and exceeded daily.


The meals provided are never boring and always encouraged independence by self-serving

and helping to clear up which my little bot insists on doing daily at home too.


Their learning journals are amazing to read and all the girls at Bright Horizons Bury St Edmunds Day Nursery and Preschool are our hero!

My son has been with the nursery since he was one and he is now four. We are very pleased with his progress. He has come on in leaps and bounds. He has grown so much in confidence. The staff are welcoming and helpful and easy to talk to. There are always plenty of things for the children to do.

My daughter loves coming to nursery. She has built up brilliant relationships with all the ladies she has worked with from the baby room to the 2-3-year-old room. The communication has always been good and if I have ever had any concerns then they have been dealt with quickly. I feel confident leaving

My son loves coming to nursery, his confidence has increased so much and is always greeted with a warm welcoming from the nursery girls.
I am given detailed feedback about what fun things he has been doing, which is reassuring and comforting, especially when I know he can be a bit of a monkey.
The
management team are helpful and friendly and will greet us in the mornings. My son has a big soft spot for the deputy manager and I always find him having a cheeky cuddle.
Overall, I couldn't fault my son's care, he is very well looked after and extremely happy.

My little boy has been coming to Tassel Road for just over a year and has always loved it.
The outdoor space for all rooms, which is important because he loves being outdoors.
He is looking forward to going into the next room and has already experienced the bigger garden, which he enjoyed very much.
The staff are always very helpful and easy to talk to if I need advice or have any worries.
I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My son started nursery at 13 months old. He is now 3 years and 5 months since beginning at this nursery. He has excelled greatly on so many levels with the help of his key workers and nursery staff who are all very friendly, reassuring, caring and above all listen. I was recommended this nursery from
a family member and would certainly recommend it to anyone.

Rebecca has been a Nursery Practitioner for 20 years.


She qualified early on, gaining her NNEB and has continued to update her training throughout this time.


She has a Level 4 qualification in Childcare and Education.


She has always worked in the private sector and is experienced in all areas of development with children aged 0-8 years. Although being a manager of a busy setting is challenging and rewarding, Rebecca's favourite time of day is spending time with the children, be it joining them for lunch or taking small groups to the local swimming pool.


For the last 14 years, Rebecca has been in senior Nursery positions and has been involved in the setting up of two purpose-built nurseries.


Rebecca has said that she prides herself on the strong, professional and loyal staff team that they have built up at Tassel Road Day Nursery.

Joined: 2005

I started working in childcare in 1999 as a modern apprentice and gained my level 2 in Childcare and Education. I completed my Level 3 in 2001 and I started working with preschool children and moved into a Deputy Manager Role two years later. I joined Tassel Road Nursery in 2005 and three years later I qualified as a Level 4 practitioner.


I am also qualified Accredited SENCO completing my training in 2008. This role involves supporting children who require additional support within the nursery.


I enjoy spending time in all areas of the nursery, especially with the babies. I am passionate about supporting children on their journey of discovery and I have two children of my own.
