The Old School House Day Nursery looks after 106 children from birth to five years.

The nursery is located in a converted Victorian school building which has been adapted to provide a range of excellent facilities both indoors and out.

Owners believe that children deserve to have the best environment to play safely and have always taken care to design spaces that children enjoy.

Quality childhood experiences promote the wellbeing of both parent and child and increase the opportunity for success throughout life. The well-planned environment and research-based curriculum is enhanced by the support of a highly trained and caring team.

Through careful planning of positive and exciting play experiences to encourage natural curiosity, creative thinking and to nourish, extend and facilitate children’s love of learning enabling to thrive, blossom and flourish now and throughout the children's lives.

My son has attended The Old School House Day Nursery since he was 9 months old (now 2 and a half). We have been so delighted with the care he receives. He has so much fun, the variety of activities he gets involved with is brilliant and they promote lots of time outside. He is regularly partying in
the sensory room and we love seeing the pictures of him having a great time and hearing all about each day at pick-up.
The staff are all amazing, so friendly and committed and we could not have asked for better key workers for our child.

This nursery is second to none in our region. Our little boy attends twice a week and learns so much during his time there. We are always updated on his progress throughout the day and every single one of the key workers is brilliant with him. The facilities are brilliant too and with the new garden
area being developed this year we can't wait to send him more often later in the year.

Outstanding nursery setting, all staff are so helpful and friendly and willing to go that extra mile. My daughter absolutely loves the nursery, especially her key worker who is just amazing! She is continually learning new skills, language and social skills and her development just keeps growing. I
have had two children at The Old School House Day Nursery and I wouldn’t send them anywhere else, best nursery for miles!

I am so delighted that my grandson attends this nursery. He had settled in brilliantly in his new room and the transition has been seamless. He loves his days there and tells me all about it when he comes to visit. When I collect him, the keyworker's commitment to the children is so obviously outstanding
and I am so impressed by their awareness of the child's day which can give me a real understanding of his experiences. I am genuinely impressed with this nursery.

I'm so pleased I decided on The Old School House for my daughter to attend. The staff are fantastic, friendly, helpful, respectful and knowledgeable. My daughter has come on leaps and bounds with her learning, social skills and speech. Handover is very helpful, with passing over information, progress
and day to day information of what my daughter has achieved. There is no place else I would want my daughter to attend. She is happy and content.

We have been using this nursery since 2019, first for our daughter and now also for our little boy, who currently attends the baby room. The staff are all superb and extremely friendly and caring. Our little boy has a wonderful relationship with his key person which is so important and I am so very
grateful for this. I can’t rate her highly enough. Management is highly organised and quick to respond and address anything as soon as possible. They are always understanding and go out of their way to make things the best it can possibly be for both children and parents. Old School House is a fantastic nursery and we are so very grateful to have found them for both our children.

As a lockdown baby, we were very apprehensive about how our little one would settle in. Management answered all our questions and eased our worries during booking his introduction. Throughout his time at nursery, (six month) his key worker and team have been incredible. They have got to know him and
his likes and supported his learning in a variety of ways. His language and play have come on leaps and bounds. When he is upset or teething, his keyworker and team are able to soothe him and by knowing his likes and use this to their advantage. Communication has been amazing and they have adapted to this difficult time to ensure parents are still included.

Excellent nursery. We couldn't be happier with the care our daughter receives at the nursery. She was very unsettled when she started, due to a medical condition. Her key worker and team have been a great support in adjusting to her needs and now she walks in with smiles and has the best time. Her bond
with her keyworker is amazing. All staff are welcoming and caring. All four of my children have attended this nursery and it is the best - all thriving.

The Old School House is a fantastic nursery - both my children attend and I wouldn't want them to go anywhere else. The staff are warm, welcoming and genuinely care about the children in their care. We get updates on their progress and time at the nursery and the whole nursery feels like an extended
part of our family. Both our children love attending and get so many opportunities to do and try different things. I couldn't recommend the nursery highly enough.

We couldn't be happier with the care our daughter receives at nursery. She bonded with her key worker immediately and is always excited to go to nursery. The staff are amazing, supportive, welcoming and so caring, they feel like friends!
I love getting moments and observations publish throughout the
day from the team about how my daughters doing and when she has eaten and slept. The wonderful photos of her smiling laughing, playing and learning mean so much, especially when I'm working and missing her.

Fantastic activities completed on a daily basis. My son is constantly learning and exploring new crafts. The surroundings inside and outside are stimulating. The menu is varied and healthy. I would highly recommend The Old School House.

I love The Old School House nursery. Every day my daughter comes out so happy, and with the app, I can see what my daughter has been up to. The photos are amazing. The girls are amazing; my daughter loves them all. My daughter has developed fantastically.
The manager is amazing, so helpful and kind.
I
never see any child come in or out sad or naughty.
They have a great outdoor playing area at each stage. With home-cooked meals, you will always know your child is well feed.
I can not shout out how amazing this nursery is.

Our daughter has settled in very quickly at The Old School House. All staff have been attentive and caring, and I can see that our daughter enjoys her time there.


We have daily communication with the nursery via the app, and the staff have made themselves available to discuss anything in more detail.

The facilities at The Old School House look great, and the range of the new skills our daughter has developed since being at The Old School House confirms to me that she is taking part in a wide range of age-appropriate activities.


Given COVID restrictions, The Old School House has made our daughter's transition to nursery very easy. I look forward to when parents are allowed back into the nursery environment so that I can see my daughter in the nursery setting.

This is a truly fantastic setting.
All of the staff are very approachable, kind and professional.
Seeing the bond that the children make with their key person, and in fact, all the staff members are wonderful, and I have always felt reassured that the children are obviously very safe, happy and fulfilled.
It’s
great to be able to see what the children get up to and to hear of all the activities that they do each day.
Our children say the food is delicious too!
Would recommend The Old School House to anyone.

I can't fault The Old School House, it is a fantastic nursery. My son has attended since his 1st birthday and has always loved it.
The staff are all delightful and seem genuinely interested in my son's progress.
My son is hypermobile and has been under a physio for some time and the team have been
great at accommodating his extra needs.
So pleased we chose The Old School House.
