Located next door to Bristol Temple Meads train station, Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-School Bristol boasts tons of character! They partner up with parents by regularly asking for their feedback through questionnaires and parent meetings as you’re the most important person in your child’s life.

They know that little things can make a big difference, so they make sure to give children lots of hands-on experiences. They have areas for growing food (and eating it), make regular visits to local care homes and focus on doing their bit for the environment.

Your child will learn all about the environment and the community through a global eco-schools programme which will make them become a real environmental champion!

The nursery goes above and beyond for safety which is why ALL staff are paediatric first-aid trained. They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with the children and encourage them to make their own choices, express their feelings and make a difference in the world.

They have a Parent-Zone app which keeps you informed about what your child has been up to all day including observations, assessments, meals, and even toilet training progress!

My daughter started here in August and has settled in so well. I was so anxious about her starting and leaving her, but she is so well taken care of and now happily waves goodbye to me when I drop her off. She has so much fun and I couldn’t ask for more.

A great and committed team who provide such a fun and warm environment for our son. Creative and well organised, this nursery has been brilliant for our family. The food is varied and they really enjoy it. The rooms are kept up to date with lots of fun new games and activities.

My little girl has been attending the nursery for nine months and though it has been a difficult time with all of the restrictions in relation to Covid, the staff have all been incredible! She has settled really well and I find so much comfort in knowing that she is cared for as well as she would be
if she were home with me!
The staff are always available if I have any questions and I love the updates throughout the day as it makes me feel like I’m not missing out on anything.

Our daughter has attended Little Pioneers - Co-op Childcare Day Nursery since she turned one. She has flourished since she has been there, forming strong bonds with every key worker she has had and other staff members too. It is lovely when I collect her and everyone seems to know her and say hello.
She is always coming home having learnt something new and we are so pleased with the progress she has made, especially with her vocabulary. The children seem to take part in a wide range of activities throughout the day and we love to see the updates provided throughout the day on the app which gives us peace of mind. The nursery engages well with parents and we appreciate the opportunity to provide feedback especially at the parent’s meetings. We would recommend the nursery to anyone.

This nursery is fantastic, the care and detail they provide for my son is outstanding. My son goes in every day with a smile on his face and excited to see the staff and his friends. The meals prepared in the on-sight kitchen are of fantastic quality and great diversity from all areas of the world,
he always has seconds. The planning and observations we receive are always tailored to really progress and support my son's development. They always listen to us as parents and use us as a key way to ensure my son is well looked after and challenged in a proactive way. They are definitely part of the family and dropping him off is easy. The management team always go above and beyond to answer and help with any questions or queries without any issues or hesitance. With Covid they have put so many measures in place to ensure my child and their staff are safe and I feel at ease in the middle of the pandemic with this. I cannot fault this nursery in any way and would 100% recommend this nursery.

My little one started attending this nursery at eleven months old in the middle of the Covid-19 lockdown, with us handing her to the staff at the door. It has been hard for us to trust the nursery without seeing staff interacting with babies, during their normal opening times before lockdown you would
have seen this. Fortunately, our girl has seemed to have settled in okay and staff are always friendly and very helpful, updating the app and answering phones, letting us know how she is doing. Overall, we were really happy with everything until we have found out that in this nursery, unlike any other nursery in Bristol and I have contacted quite a few others to check, was wearing masks within the bubbles when interacting and taking care of babies. From my research the government advice was to form bubbles in order to avoid wearing the masks as it could have a negative impact on children's mental, social and language development. Because of this, sadly we will be looking into moving our baby into a different nursery.

Thank you for your feedback. We understand starting during the Covid-19 pandemic is unsettling for parents and we have been updating the app with extra photos of the children and the rooms set up to ensure parents have an insight inside during the day. Current guidance from the DFE advises that in early years, face masks should be worn by adults "in situations where social distancing is not possible". Our staff try to maintain a 2m distance from each other and the decision was made to wear face masks throughout the day to minimize risks. Times when staff do not wear masks are when they are outdoors, and when they are engaged in activities 1-2-1 or stories. We considered impact on development and we have monitored this using observations and assessments but have specifically analysed the assessments with the impact of face masks and staff have not reported any children to be scared, wary or nervous of interaction with staff wearing face masks.

The nursery team are so dedicated and hardworking, particularly during Covid, which has been so challenging. We always receive clear communications when things change and the team are quick to respond to any individual queries. My daughter has attended since she was 10 months old and is a happy soul.
She sings songs at home that she's learned at nursery and always goes in and comes out with a smile on her face.

The Co-op Childcare Bristol (Little Pioneers) nursery is an amazing nursery, and I would highly recommend bringing your little one here.
We moved from abroad and when we knew we were coming to Bristol our number one priority was finding a nursery. I reached out to a number of nurseries, and Little
Pioneers immediately gave us such a great feeling and we felt our son would just love it there. We didn't need to look any further. They were so accommodating around the start dates, as we had some last-minute changes with Covid and the travel quarantine when coming here. There was additional stress on the whole move, but the fact that the nursery was sorted, gave us peace of mind.
Everyone at nursery is absolutely lovely and kind. Our son absolutely loves it there. He runs in eagerly every day. They do so many different activities with them and the dinner plans look delish (and our son eats seconds of almost all, so he would agree it seems).
Overall: it's a lovely and safe place, with lovely people!

My son has been at the nursery for around two years now. The key workers he has had, have been incredible, they show a very keen interest in my son in everything that he does, however, it appears that when they are not around things seem to go awry. There have been a few incidents, so severe that it
has left me really shocked and upset. More often than not I have to investigate the situation, as they do not come forward to tell the exact details of why my son was hurt. Understandably it is a hard job. Not everything will be done correctly.


I also find that they do not tend to focus so much on learning and more the social and play aspect. Therefore I ensure I do home learning. Generally, my son seems happy to be there, I just wish that I had confidence as a parent when I left him there that he would be safe if his key worker was not around. If he didn’t have the key worker he has now I would move him away from there.

Our daughter has been in the nursery for almost 2 years now, and has been through 3 different rooms. Although she has a keyworker in her current room, she's also formed really close bonds with several other staff both in her room and in others - it's always lovely to see her excitement when one of the
people from another room is in her area on drop-off, and sometimes she's even run off without a backward glance at me to go and hug someone she hasn't seen in a while! She's coming on in leaps and bounds, and is learning so much - we recently discovered through the parent app that she can now count to 10 because she's never done it at home! Love the updates and photos, the food is really varied, and cooked fresh on-site each day, and the staff were really supportive with potty training. They do a great mix of activities too and, as far as possible, work with what the individual children want to do on that particular day.

Our daughter started nursery at around five months old and to say my wife and I were nervous is an understatement. We have found the nursery to be fantastic, our girl comes home every day and is happy and smiling. She has built a really good relationship with her carers and is always excited to see
them first thing in the morning. They have helped us wean her on to solid foods not to mention all the activities that are laid on such as painting, sensory play and plenty of blocks/toys to explore. All the staff are lovely and any concerns we may have had were addressed quickly and I can honestly say that we wouldn't hesitate in recommending the nursery. The other parents that we have bumped into also seem really nice and by extension, it's lovely to pick up our daughter each night and see that she has a cluster of other newbies that play together. My wife and I often say to each other that we are lucky to have found such a gem and to see our girl become a happy and confident baby. Thanks.

Our eldest son has been attending this nursery for around two years now and we recently enrolled our youngest son too. The staff here are fantastic and really care about the kids. Our eldest clearly enjoys himself as he looks forward to seeing his friends and carers there and usually is playing happily
when I pick him up in the evening. Our youngest is also settling in well after several weeks. The team put on a wide roster of activities and menu of meals every week to keep things interesting for all of the kids. They’re also great with uploading notes to the Parent Zone app so my wife and I know how our boys are getting on each day.

My three and a half year old has attended nursery here since she was one year old, moving through all the rooms, and is now in pre-school. She is always happy to attend nursery and has a close relationship with all the staff she interacts with, not just her assigned key person. Staff seem to lead a
good range of activities to encourage learning, but allowing them to play and extend activities freely. While sending children home who truly are ill, this nursery does not send them home for every tiny sniffle or sneeze, as I've heard other parents experience at different nurseries. This means I don't have to worry about taking unnecessary days off work. Most importantly though, the staff are always friendly to myself and everyone else. They are never too busy for a cuddle or a listening ear when my child needs one, and I feel that they genuinely care about all the children they are looking after.

My daughter loved it here. When my daughter first started, she was shy, quiet, not really socially aware, and was not used to leaving mummy. However, her bond with staff was amazing and they helped her come on leaps and bounds. She has progressed amazingly well throughout her nursery experience. The

My son has been attending this nursery since he was ten months old, he's now in the preschool room. He really enjoys his time at the nursery and has a great relationship with all the staff, especially his key workers. We have recently discovered that he has a speech disorder and the staff have been
