My daughter has just left to go to school and has had a brilliant experience at honeytree. She has always been supported by staff. She would always want to go to preschool and come out with a smile on her face.

A shocking experience with Storal Learning in recent months following an inadequate Ofsted inspection. Please look online for the report and see how the children and parents were let down by the management team at Storal. The way they then dealt with a reduction in a number of hours and children was
appalling and very stressful for parents and difficult for children. Ultimately it could have been avoided or rolled out much better than it was. Many parents have had to find alternatives with little to no notice. I would be careful to check what management company is involved with any nursery and if it is Storal Learning I would suggest you avoid.

Thank you for your review. We are disappointed that we did not meet the high expectation we strive for on this occasion. As regularly communicated throughout recent weeks, by email and the parent forum, we took immediate action to enable the improvements necessary. The decision to reduce the day and sessions available was to accommodate as many families as possible while continuing to adhere to the ratio requirement and set time aside for further team training. Please be reassured that the wellbeing of the team, coupled with the strong emphasis on meeting children’s outcomes was our priority.
The deployment of experienced internal management, with the support of the wider senior team is proving that improvements are positively underway. Further support from the Local Authority and external quality assessment educators are visiting regularly and we are confident that we will accomplish an improved judgement with Ofsted at the next inspection.
However, your concerns have been noted and shared.

Absolutely terrible, we have just had our place cut with no notice. This is just following a price increase and hours decrease. They are now only running to 5pm, also with no notice.

This has been an exceptionally difficult decision driven by an unprecedentedly challenging recruitment market. We will continue to keep all families up to date with developments.

My daughter loves going, and those days when she is more unsettled the staff have always given her the extra comfort she has needed. The staff are always friendly and communicate well with me and my husband. I feel my daughter is flourishing at Honeytree and have recommended it to anyone who has told

Staff are just so lovely and understanding. Never actually stepped foot in nursery due to Covid and still feel totally happy with my child being there. He gets so much playtime and good food. Highly recommend.

Our son has been in all 3 rooms, and the one thing that had been a constant is the amazing attitude and dedication from the staff.
We hear of amazing activities every day from our son, and there is always great communication from staff on handovers.
The food menu is great and our son eats everything
(even the things he refuses at home!!)

Our son goes there every day and he’s incredibly happy and well looked after. He is fed, changed regularly and has someone to cuddle when he’s upset. Everyone is kind, loving and caring. Staff are passionate about working with children and have high level of expertise. The food is delicious and always
fresh. I always know what’s going on through an app. A great place!

My son has been going to this nursery since March 2021. At that time, he was 3-year-old. It was a difficult and stressful time for my son, as we migrated from Hong Kong to the UK only a few months in late December 2020. We had gone through a lot of changes during that period of time. English is not
our first language, and our son is quite shy and does not speak a lot. So, we were really worried that he cannot mingle with other children due to the language barrier.
Indeed, we found that he has settled well at the nursery quickly and made friends. His social skills improved. He enjoyed learning and playing at school. The staff members are all attentive and nice. We had a lot of good and practical advice on parenting and potty training. We knew what had happened at school as the management email us regularly. When it was not a school day, my son sometimes talked about the brothers and sisters that he missed. We are very thankful that we have chosen the right school for our son.

Our daughter started at Honeytree Day Nursery & Pre-School - Bristol in February 2021 at 10 months old and she has been going there for a year now. She loves going to nursery. She always has such fun doing all sorts of activities and enjoys the messy play. She has already built wonderful friendships.
In the early days going to nursery really helped with her eating and socialisation. Born at the beginning of Covid she had barely interacted with other children or other adults so we were worried how she would be, but we need not have worried. The staff create such a welcoming and supportive environment that she was happy and content from day 1.
A year on she is so happy and bursting with excitement after a great day at nursery. Her speech is coming on amazingly as well and that’s in part due to being at nursery. She walks confidently in every day. The facilities are brilliant, with lots of toys which are kept clean and in good condition.
We couldn’t be happier with Honeytree and would strongly recommend it to anyone.

We are really happy with Honeytree Day Nursery & Pre-School - Bristol our daughter loves going there. All the staff are so friendly. They also provide delicious sounding meals and fun, educational, and varied activities. Our daughter might be understanding what volcanoes are, or doing yoga, all in one
day! The nursery are also very good at updating us on what's going on and how our daughter is doing. All in all we're really glad we made the decision to send our daughter there!

My son has been going to Honeytree Day Nursery & Pre-School - Bristol since he was 9 months and is now approaching 3. He loves going and has such good relationships with the staff. They always provide lovely handovers when I pick him up and make me feel he is really cared for and they enjoy having him.
I
like how they make the food on-site and the outside space is great.
Highly recommend it.

My little girl has been going to this nursery for nearly 6 months and she loves it. She settled in really quickly and is excited to go in the mornings which is a credit to the staff and how well she is looked after. I also love that she’s so well fed throughout the day, they’re eating almost every 2
hours! I’m kept well informed using their parent electronic platform, I know what she’s eaten, how long she has slept and exactly what has happened with her nappies. I always look forward to the observations each week with photos and a little caption as to what activity she’s been up to. As far as nurseries go I think Honeytree is so well priced and I have recommended them to others.

My son has been attending the Honeytree Nursery since September 2017. He absolutely loves the Honeytree and has made so many great friends. The staff are excellent and have made his time there enjoyable. They are great with any queries we have had and are always really helpful. The staff have always
been great at keeping in touch and communicating to us updates and info(especially during this COVID pandemic). We had no worries about sending our son back to nursery as the staff have made it as safe as possible.

My daughter used this as an afterschool club, attached to Filton Avenue Orchard School. She really liked the staff and loved playing in the garden. All the kids played really nicely together, in a lovely outdoor space. The afterschool club room had loads of books and crafting activities and was a really
nice wind down from school. She loved the food and the staff listened to her and produced nice vegetarian options for her. Their kindness was really appreciated.

The whole Honeytree team are doing a brilliant job during this tough time for those who are at nursery, and for even those at home. The nursery didn't charge for kids not attending at this time, and even then they are sharing different ideas of activities kids can do at home. All these efforts are much
appreciated. My child is missing nursery and his friends. I hope he gets to meet you all soon in a safe environment.

Honeytree Day Nursery has been apart of our lives since 2013 when our first child was born; our second child started in September 2019. Hazel Henderson

Job Title: Nursery Manager and Designated Safeguarding Lead

Joined: 2022

Hazel has worked in childcare for over twenty years and holds a Foundation Degree in Early Years. She also has a BA in Health and Social Care Management which has helped to influence her practice at managing people and to ensure the smooth running of the nursery.


Hazel has a particular interest in supporting families who have EAL. She takes an interest in getting to know their languages and cultures and finds real pleasure in being able to share a story with a child in their home language.


She is a mum of 3 and takes a keen interest in spending time outdoors with her family. She has a mixed heritage family sharing Austrian, Romanian and Jamaican Heritage so cooking takes the forefront in their house and they enjoy creating lots of delicious recipes!


Hazel has been with Storal since May 2022 and feels privileged to be a part of the Storal family.
