I find Busy Bees to be a friendly and welcoming environment. My child is very happy to attend and is thriving well. The activities Busy Bees offers are engaging and stretched my child is developing. My son loves the caregivers and the food on offer.

Staff are always very helpful and friendly. Rooms and building, in general, are clean and tidy. Always get feedback at end of the day about what my little one has eaten/drank, been up to, nappy changes etc.

Our nursery suits our family's needs very well. Both my children attend and are very happy in their individual rooms. They are well cared for and have developed emotionally and socially since joining Busy Bees Nursery.

My son has been at Busy Bees since June 2014. He absolutely loves nursery and has bonded so well with all his carers. The number of things they do each day really keeps my son interested and engaged.

I have two children who attend Busy Bee nursery. Office staff are welcoming and really helpful. Both my children do two days and really enjoy it. They love the staff and talk about them regularly at home. I feel all staff have encouraged my children to become confident and learning new things all the
time. They even ask to go on other days as they enjoy it so much.

They look after the children at Busy Bees very well. Staff are very friendly. My daughter seems happy here. Only issue is the free hours you get are not set out clear for parents, also their school holidays hours not clear, meaning when their closed etc. But other than this Busy Bees are great.

Reply from Clare, Nursery Manager at Busy Bees Weston Super Mare

Thank you for taking the time to review our nursery! We give out a calendar at the beginning of every year which clearly states the funded and non-funded weeks, this is put together by our financial administrator to make it easier for parents to understand. This is given out along with the welcome to pre-school pack which has lots of information about how the funding works and we also have a welcome to pre school evening where parents are encouraged to discuss funding etc with our financial administrator and manager. I hope this helps and if there is anything else you need please do not hesitate to get in touch with us at the nursery. Kind Regards

My daughter has attended Busy Bees at Weston Super Mare since January 2016. She has always been really settled since starting nursery. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and offer a wide range of activities to stimulate my daughter. The nursery offers a wide selection of freshly home cooked
food which my daughter loves.

My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 8 months old. Sending your child to the nursery can be very stressful but all the staff made it very easy. The communication is outstanding and I felt even though I am unable to spend every day with her I knew everything she was up to. My daughter is
now in the toddler room and she can tell me herself all the great things she gets up to. She even had me doing the 'wake and shake' at 6am the other morning!! Thank you to all the staff who are making some really special memories with my daughter.

Current Review Score: 8.2 (8.183)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.2 (8.183) out of 10 for Busy Bees Weston Super Mare is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 2 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.2 out of 5 from 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.958 for Busy Bees Weston Super Mare is calculated as follows: ( (23 Excellents x 5) + (1 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 24 Ratings = 4.958

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.225 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees Weston Super Mare is based on 2 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 = 3.125

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 100 number of registered child places is 20. 2 Positive Reviews ÷ 20 = 0.1

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
