Tops Day Nursery - Bournemouth, welcomes babies from three months old and provides children with an excellent learning through play environment to help them develop through their pre-school years.

Tops Bournemouth's practice is inspired by Reggio Emilia and Scandinavian ethos – they believe that children should be surrounded by beautiful, aesthetic things and exposed to inspirational experiences. Tops Bournemouth put big emphasis on the they way children learn and the resources used in the nursery. In daily activities children have opportunities to use their imagination as well as develop critical thinking.

Rated Outstanding by Ofsted in October 2016 with early years professionals dedicated to best practice, the nursery also has its own training team to ensure standards are kept high and up-to-date with childcare sector developments.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

The nursery offers very flexible hours and parents can book to the nearest 15 minutes, meaning they only book and pay for the hours that suit them.

The nursery has a number of extracurricular activities such as Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites, tooth brushing and much more.

Families are always welcome to call to discuss their child and their progress at the nursery. Throughout the day, staff record important information about each child, such as sleep times and food intake. This is shared with families through EYLOG.

The no-added sugar menu at the nursery provides children with a healthy and nutritional start in life.

My daughter has been using Tops Day nurseries since the age of 6 months, first at Portsmouth and this year at Bournemouth. The attention and care she has received has been excellent. I have watched her develop her own personality and realise how much of an influence her key workers at Tops have had
on her. I would also like to use this opportunity to mention the Investigators who have been absolutely wonderful with my child. The extra activities offered such as Forest school, cooking classes etc have all been enjoyable and educative. The administrative staff have also been excellent and are always willing to help out with booking extra time at short notice. The flexibility offered by 15 minute slots and variable booking have been especially useful and truly not to be found anywhere else!

Excellent nursery I have come across, staff are extremely friendly and helpful. My child has come forward so much in her toddlerhood, very proud!
Would recommend this nursery for definite.
Couldn't be more happier with my child, always an event ie cooking or dancing that my child wants to get involved
with, never known a nursery to do half of these, very pleased. Progress thanks to Tops. A****

I cannot praise Tops highly enough. My little boy has been in both The Nest and Explorers 2 over the last year; both were filled with fantastic staff. Every day I receive a full update about what my son has done - food, nappies, milk, sleep. All of this is online but it doesn't stop the staff adding
lots more information when he's collected. I also receive regular online observations - I love seeing photos and anecdotes of what he's been doing while I've been at work. Tops is extremely flexible and has always been able to accommodate the hours I need, even at short notice when my other child care has been ill. There is lots of interaction and each room really takes the needs of the children into consideration. As I said, I cannot praise it enough and will continue to send my son here.

I would wholeheartedly recommend Tops Bournemouth to anyone looking for a nursery who truly cares about their child on every level. Since starting at Tops Bournemouth over half a year ago, my son now runs to get there where before he would cling to the car seat! He is made to feel truly cared about
and loved by his personal carer, whom he adores. He's not just "looked after" when he's there - they've helped him with his speech, and his confidence when apart from family, which has proved invaluable, and they care about him as a little individual not just another child to have to watch over. As such, when he walks through the door and if he's upset, they know just what to do to help him. It's really helped set our minds at complete ease having him somewhere he's honestly cared about. The outside play area is a godsend too (spacious, with good play equipment etc) - he's an outdoors little boy so we also needed somewhere with a good play area for him and other nurseries in the area seemed very cramped. Here he can run around safely, play in the sandpit, ride a tricycle and so forth. It's great!

Bournemouth Tops at RBH is fantastic !! Having worked in a nursery previously, I was after a warm and friendly setting for my children. They have looked after my 5 year old for 2 years before he started school and we had no doubts about sending our daughter here when I went back to work after maternity
leave.
All the girls (and boys) do a fantastic job.... From the office staff to the chef and all the girls (and boys) in each of the rooms.
Our daughter loves going in each week and we appreciate all the hard work and effort that goes into such a fantastically run nursery. Keep up the good work guys

I would highly recommend Tops Nursery Bournemouth to Anyone. I feel completely relaxed to know that my son is in the caring hands of the fantastic, friendly staff here!!
My son has a close bond with his carers within the nursery which I feel is wonderful. It is clear that each individual child is cared
for and loved for who they are.
He has come so far with his talking and singing and that really is with great input from the lovely ladies who look after him twice a week. He is a happy little soul and especially happy being here, a I am happy that he is so happy!
Thank you Tops for making this experience such an enjoyable one for my little boy and a completely stress free experience for us as parents. It is an emotional time leaving your first child in the care of someone else when you have to go back to work, Tops made this process as straightforward and stress free as possible.

What a fantastic nursery! Myself and my daughter have been made to feel so welcome here. She is in the Nest and all of the staff are very friendly and helpful. My daughter enjoys her time here as I can tell from the picture and diary they use to keep you involved in your child's day. The staff here
really do bend over backwards to help. I often have last minute changes to my work hours and I have never been refused changes to my booked hours. So please we chose to come here. All the staff and activities have greatly helped towards her development.

What qualifications do you have? I graduated with Level 4 in my early years in Barcelona, I completed my Level 2 in my early years in the UK and I have different training completed on Leadership and management.


2.   How many years of experience do you have? I worked in childcare since 2014.


3.   Hobbies/interests – I love the outdoors and walk my dog, we love to go on adventures. I also play piano which I learnt on my own and I love my reading!


4.   Fun fact – I used to run the High jump when I was in a colleague – and I am only 1.59 high.
