An exceptional Montessori nursery bridging the gap between Poole and Bournemouth.

With their long standing team, the nursery provides loving care and education to children from 3 months to 5 years.

The Bright Horizons Poole Montessori nursery is conveniently situated halfway between Poole and Bournemouth, in a residential area with lots of green space. Just a short distance from Branksome station, the nursery is ideally located for commuting parents.

The team regularly arrange walks to the local park so that children can get to know their local community better, and the nursery benefits from a garden for all ages so children can play and explore outdoors.

They follow the Montessori philosophy, culture and ethos within the nursery and members of the team hold formal Montessori certification. They also practice Growing Enhancements – a programme unique to Bright Horizons focusing on reading, writing and mathematics, as well as creative skills, to support your child in their transition from nursery to school. The Bright Horizons Poole nursery fees include a nutritious breakfast, snacks and high tea in the afternoon. Branded nappies and formula milk are also included for babies.

A super first learning experience. Staff lovely - special shout out to two particular members.
Glad the food offered arrived. Accounting a nightmare - late/no callbacks from central team - staff have little knowledge of how that side works and didn't feel they were supported by a ventral function.
Overall, a brilliant nursery - highly recommended.

Wonderful staff, great communications from the nursery itself. Poor communications from Bright Horizons Head Office with a terrible system for paying fees with mistakes and poor transparency. Bright Horizons' ethos seems inflexible and not focussed on the customer. We have a better understanding of
what you do with the children now with the app - this was late coming compared to other childcare establishments, but the more information we get and see about what you do with the children, the more complimentary we can be.

My child has thoroughly enjoyed his time every week with his friends. He loves the staff, who are more friends. As for myself, the staff have been so lovely throughout all his time. My daughter loves her time at nursery. They always take part in fun activities, and all the staff are lovely and helpful. As well as having lots of fun, she has learnt many important skills to make the transition to school easier, including sharing, teamwork and communication. All three of my children
have attended this nursery, and I would definitely recommend it to other parents.

My daughter has attended the nursery since she was 9-months-old and starts school in September 2022. I have always felt 100% happy and comforted that she is in the best hands. I have no regrets sending my daughter here, the staff have been like an extra family to my daughter and critical to her pre-school
years learning. I'm actually sad that she is off to school but confident she is fully equipped to start the next journey, she will really miss the nursery and all her friends.

My little girl loves going to nursery. She always has a smile on her face at pick up and drop off so this puts me at ease a lot, as I know she enjoys her time. The new app is a welcome addition to getting an insight into what she gets up to at nursery. Despite covid restrictions, I have found the staff
approachable and it is clear they care a lot about the children. Professionalism and safeguarding are always to an exceptionally high standard. I would definitely recommend the setting to other new parents.

Amazing nursery. Staff are so friendly and polite. Always go above and beyond. Feel comfortable leaving our daughter with all the staff. One lady always makes sure that my child learns new things and helps with her progression. All staff are amazing. Couldn't recommend the nursery anymore.

The staff at Poole Montessori are polite, friendly and knowledgeable about my children. I am very confident that my children receive excellent care and are progressing with their learning. Both my children are excited to go to nursery each week and we are pleased to receive lots of arts and crafts from
their time there. The settling in sessions were brilliant and handled sensitively.

Our daughter have been going here for three years now and we are very happy. The staff show genuine care and generally communicate well with parents. The children learn a lot and the Montessori way works really well to teach so many skills and prepares them well for school. A great nursery.

Our son has been at Poole Montessori since he was one. He settled so quickly and was always happy to go to nursery. The staff are all so friendly and nurturing. I have been at the nursery since 2000 and I thoroughly enjoy my time at our busy nursery, watching the children grow and develop into independent little people ready for school. I have a true passion for Montessori and completed my Montessori certificate in 2015.


Together we strive daily to provide an outstanding home-from-home environment for all our staff, children and families, which was recognised by OFSTED in both 2012 and February 2018. Our staff team are one of the biggest assets with long-standing and dedicated individuals who pride themselves on understanding your children's individual needs.
