Tops Day Nursery - Parkstone, Poole is a friendly and active nursery, based on Herbert Avenue. The dedicated team of staff offers happy, nurturing care for the hours parents need.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

Rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted in September 2016, Tops Parkstone cares for children from three months to school age as well as running an after school and holiday club for children between the age of five and seven years. The nursery offers a safe, stimulating environment for all ages by qualified and friendly staff.

Children can take part in extracurricular activities such as Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites, tooth brushing and much more.

Up to 30 hours funding for eligible two-, three- and four-year-olds is available.

While each child is at Tops Parkstone, families are more than welcome to call as often as they like to talk to a member of staff about your child and their day at nursery. Families are given important information about their child's day, which is submitted on EYLOG.

Tops Day Nurseries has introduced a no-added sugar menu to all nurseries, ensuring children start their time at nursery with a nutritional, healthy diet.

My son has been with Tops since he was 9 months old. Previously at another branch, I was concerned that a move would be bad for him. However, I have to say the staff at Parkstone have been incredibly supportive!
The move did unsettle him but he had so much other change with moving house etc that it
was expected. Becoming clingy with me was a way to express. Everyone at Explorers worked with me to encourage him to look forward to nursery again, resulting in a fantastic drop off the other morning with no tears and a fabulous pick up where he told the practitioner she was his friend.
I wasn’t made to feel like an overprotective mum and their encouragement and support has helped him settle so quickly whilst also putting any concerns I have to bed.
I’m looking forward to seeing the great things he will accomplish in the future whilst at Tops! I would strongly recommend this service to anyone.

My son is really happy to go to the nursery, he loves his teachers and I’m amazed how he became more confident so quickly. As a parent of a little child, I appreciate the fact that the kids are always involved all day in different activities and that they play a lot outside in the garden, or in the
forest with the forest school.

My twins have been at the Parkstone Tops Nursery for just over a year. They are starting school September and I think the staff at the nursery are amazing. The boys love it and have learnt so much. The staff listen to the children and really do care about what the children have to say. They keep us
informed of the boy's progress and the boys have built some great relationships with both staff and other children. I would recommend the nursery without a doubt and am gratefull for all they have done for my boys.

Tops is a great nursery - it strikes a good balance between a relaxed environment and not being chaotic. There are lots of areas for different activities and a large outdoor space. I really appreciate the flexibility that Tops offers, suits our erratic work schedule. Staff are friendly and engaged.

I have two sons aged 2 and 3 that attended Tops in Parkstone. The staff are friendly, kind and take an interest in getting to know and understand both of my children. There are plenty of activities both inside and outside. Healthy and a good variety of meals and snacks are available. The nursery
is flexible providing childcare at times and days with short notice too which is a real bonus, meaning I can drop off my children at 6.30am (they open at 6) still in their pj's so I can get to work on time for early shifts.

I chose Tops Nursery for my son over any others in my area as I was really impressed with the friendly staff and environment. The nursery is well presented with lots of resources and activity areas. I loved the fact that they use the EYlog so I can be informed regularly of what activities my son has
participated in and how he's doing with his development to key skills.
Unlike quite a few nurseries I visited Tops offers flexible times not just the set morning or afternoon slots which I find great, along with offering emergency care if needed and being open during school holiday times.
Overall I'm very happy with Tops Nursery and couldn't fault them in any way. My son loves coming to Tops Nursery and has made some lovely friends and enjoys his time there, most importantly they have helped him so much with his developmental stages (speech, potty training etc) and they continue to offer full support throughout.

My son started nursery at Tops Day Nursery - Parkstone, Poole in March 2016 and since then he has grown into a confident, chatty boy. He's grown such confidence at nursery and is now going into pre-school. He loves it at Tops Day Nursery - Parkstone, Poole and loves all the staff. They are so helpful,
welcoming and very friendly. They guide you and assist with anything. They always welcome my son into the nursery when he goes. He loves the activities and in the garden, there is always a change of activities with plenty going on. Always highly recommend to friends. Such a fantastic nursery.

Tops have been fantastic for my daughter. She was at a nursery before, which made me feel unwelcome and they didn't have her back when it became apparent that she had additional needs, but I wish I found Tops sooner! Every member of staff is amazing with my daughter and I cannot fault them. It is clear
every time I drop her off and pick her up, that she really enjoys it there which is the most important thing and despite her autistic nature, she settles in really well to the setting. The staff are so friendly polite and helpful I would recommended them to anyone.

She tells us what she learnt and who she interacted with every day.
She is always looking forward to going to the nursery.

Very happy with the Tops nursery and my child as well. She is a very happy little girl who made the nursery her 2nd home. She made friends and she really loves the staff, she made such a huge improvement with her English language even though she goes only 3 hours per day.

Both my children attended this nursery. It's hard leaving them but they helped them settle in quickly and both were very happy there. There were some outstanding staff. I loved the updates given by the staff at the end of the day and the online updates are great. It's lovely reading and setting pictures
of your childs day. My son flourished at the Parkstone nursery.

My daughter started the nursery just after Easter and loves it. She has made several friends and her development is coming along nicely. The nursery staff are very friendly and if I have had any concerns about things, like my daughter asthma, they have listened and made sure she is well looked after.

My little boy has been coming here since September and so far so good! He has progressed immensely and learnt so many new skills since attending the nursery. He absolutely loves all of the staff members and talks about them all the time at home. Especially love that his drawings are kept and given to

My son loves nursery. He is always willing to go as he has made friends in the setting. My son loves the forest school program and the free flow of the setting.
I love getting updates on the eylog app and so do other family members. I have recommended tops to a friend who recently had a baby as I

My son is very happy at the nursery. Much happier than in his previous nursery. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only thing that concerns me a little bit is that very often the investigators and pre school are mixed, I mean together as one group so I am not sure if they have enough possibility
to learn. I will definitely recommend this nursery to my friends :)
