Tops Day Nursery Poole is a friendly and active nursery, based near to the Barclays building in Poole, on Denmark Lane.

The team of staff at Tops Poole care for children from three months until they reach school age, and provides a safe and stimulating environment for children to play and develop.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

The nursery offers their Mini Beasts Holiday Club, which offers care for children aged five to seven-years-old and a range of extracurricular activities, including Tops Cooking School, Tops Forest School, meditation, yoga, Rugby Rangers, Boogie Mites and tooth brushing.

Tops Day Nursery Poole can offer 15-hours free for children aged two, three and four-years-old.

Families are welcome to call and speak to a member of staff about their child during their day at the nursery.

Staff record important information about each child to share with their families, such as sleep times, nappy changes and information about their food or milk intake. The information is added to a daily report and submitted on EYLOG.

Tops Day Nurseries has introduced a no-added sugar menu to all nurseries, ensuring children start their time at nursery with a nutritional, healthy diet.

The staff are excellent at Tops Day Nurseries: Poole Nursery, my daughter has been attending for just over a year now and has moved into the bigger room and they’ve really helped her progress into that classroom! She enjoys every day at nursery and talks about the staff and her friends there.

I really can't fault Tops, the setting is lovely - a real eco earthy feel to the place. The staff are amazing always going above and beyond to meet my disabled daughter's needs. She is thriving and that's down to everyone who makes that extra little fuss over her. Thank you.

My nephew attends tops for 2 years before starting school. Tops really helped him to become ready for school and he really enjoyed the extra activities they provide, he particularly likes attending forest school and I like the fact he would always brush his teeth at nursery as that is something we always
struggled with at home with him. I would recommend TopsDay Nursery to people.

My daughter attended Tops Day Nurseries from being a year old and now she is at school and attended hi 5’s in the holidays. The care is great from the staff in the room and my daughter loves going. Bookings are really flexible adding shifts last minute. I would recommend Tops Day Nurseries.

My little girl has been attending Tops Day Nursery (Poole) for the last nine months...The change in her since starting is amazing...when she first started she was very shy and hated leaving my side, she now has so much confidence and happily runs in nursery like it’s a second home..the staff are lovely
and I can see how comfortable my little girl is with them all.. they plan lots of fun activities for the children to do and I am sent pictures and observations every day that my little girl attends...I highly recommend this nursery.

I started sending my sixteen-month-old baby to Tops Poole about a month ago. The lovely staff made sure she will have an easy adjustment.
But not just her. Every day I came to pick her up, I got all the details of what she was doing, eating, playing with - all with a kind and pleasant attitude
from the staff.
So all the concerns I had, upon sending her to nursery for the first time, calmed down.
So far, I’m very pleased and definitely recommend this nursery.

My son loves going to nursery at Tops Poole. He is always happy to see everyone when he arrives and is always happily playing when I arrive to collect him.
He settled in so quickly.
His development has definitely been helped by his attendance here.

Tops have helped my son a lot over the last year and especially in January when he started potty training, he’s also learnt a lot, for example; left from right, ABC's and counting. He’s also tried different foods with thanks to the menu for lunches - stuff I wouldn’t cook at home which is great.

From the first day I signed in my daughter with the nursery she was very happy. The staff were and still are very friendly and always making the best environment for all the kids there.
Since joining my daughter has made a clear and big evolution in all areas, from speaking, playing, sharing, being

Our little boy thrives here! Everyone at Tops Poole has done an exceptional job at helping him develop and grow into the little guy he is today. He was so unsettled and difficult to manage when he first started there, but every one of them put in an incredible amount of effort to turn it around. He
adores each and every one of them and loves attending now. No tears, no crying, no screaming... he pushes me away so that he can go and enjoy his day.
The nursery set up is so user-friendly, warm and bright. There are so many activities to keep him busy all day and love the updates on his progress on EYLog. He is exposed to such a variety of activities that are so fundamental to his development and enable him to be so creative. We love that the staff make an effort for him to get out of the building with walks to the quay and time in the garden.
We are so pleased with the decision we made to chose Tops Poole. Could not recommend them more!

All 3 of my children have been to Tops Poole and I have never had any concerns. The flexibility of booking hours and extra hours making it perfect for our needs. The staff are caring and my kids are always happy to go and the daily diary reports give me insight into the wide range of activities they
do. Previously my kids have attended the forest school programme through the nursery which was a big hit and to be recommended.

My children have been going to the nursery since 2013. My eldest has gone on to school and loves to go back in the holidays. The staff are fab and are always happy to help. They really know both my children. There are many staff who have been there since my eldest started.

The staff are friendly and the nursery well equipped and laid out. I like that they promote meditation, being out in nature with their own growing garden, library trips, and all the sensory activities available. There's regular fun themes, personalised learning goals and a great variety of activities
to encourage little one's development. You get regular photos and progress updates on a diary that you can access via the app that you can download onto your phone, tablet or login via the website.
The way fees are worked is confusing, making it tedious to check the bill each month, just my opinion - not a complaint but something to be mindful of so you don't get any surprises.
The nursery staff are lovely, approachable and attentive. My son loved his key worker, she was a real gem and this made it so so much easier for me.

My youngest son has been coming here since I started back to work earlier this year.
I was worried at first as he could be very clingy and sure of new people but from day one he has absolutely loved, he has the odd day where he doesn’t want to talk to anybody but the staff are always amazing with him
and I’ve noticed that when he’s at home just how much progress he is doing and I love the eylog as it always keeps me up to date on what my son has been doing and how well he has been eating his lunches so if he isn’t as interested in his dinner some days I know that I don’t have to worry

My daughter loves it here. She moved after her old nursery closed down suddenly April 2017. The staff helped my daughter to quickly settle in and make new friends. She gets to try lots of different activities including cooking. Daily diary through the app means I know what she has been up to on
a day by day basis and development steps are recorded and passed on as they happen.

Tops in Poole is a great nursery for our 11-month-old child. The nursery is a decent size with a beautiful outdoor garden area. The toys and sensory things (I'm a Dad, excuse the lack of lingo) the children get to experience and play with are plentiful, massively varied and in good condition. The care
and feedback from the staff is excellent, they use the EYLog app which is normally completed before I've even got home from picking our little terror up. The opening hours and flexibility that Tops give is second to none - an absolute godsend to us. Value wise, Tops is actually one of the best value for us. My son always gets very excited when we get to Nursery and the staff seem genuinely pleased to see him, this makes it a pleasure to hand him over rather than a pain. Would recommend Tops Poole to anyone.

Only reason I didn't click extremely likely as the deposit for using hours outside funding hours is £200 (unaffordable for anyone trying to start work again)
Otherwise, staff are extremely helpful, understanding towards aims, potty training wise, speech development wise, and learning abilities.
