At Little Pioneers Cainscross they make friends across generations. Their children make regular visits to their local care home where they play games, learn songs and play creatively with residents.

They are big on safety which is why ALL their practitioners are paediatric first aid trained. They also have an app called Famly which keeps parents/carers updated on how their little ones are getting on at nursery, with photos of their day, meals eaten and even toilet training progress!

They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with children. They are also silver eco schools accredited, a programme that sees children lead the way in making little changes that deliver big environmental differences.

They are big on happy children as they focus on taking care of each other and the world and have areas for growing food (and eating it!).

The nursery has two baby rooms for children aged three months to two-years-old, a room for two to three-year-olds and one for three to five-year-olds. The nursery has a large enclosed garden, with separate areas for under and over two's, which contains a soft play surface, paving slabs, bark and grass.

Both our children have attended this nursery and we have been really impressed with the provision. The staff are so lovely, we have really felt confident leaving our children in their care. It shows how much they care about and get to know each individual child.
The facilities are great, an extensive
selection of toys and activities that change regularly. The garden is great.
It always seems clean and doesn't smell (unlike some nurseries we viewed)
The food quality and variety is excellent and very healthy.
Only negative is having to pay for bank holidays when the nursery is closed.

Great place made to feel at ease and part of the nursery family from day one.


Really happy with the way my son is cared for on the days he attends and he is so happy to be there and has settled in so fast which has just put me at complete ease.


Food ticks all of his boxes and he really seems

to enjoy and has moved on leaps and bounds in his capabilities with feeding himself.


Only been going a few weeks but it's been great and I feel really happy to leave my child in the nursery which I never thought I would.

I am very happy with my daughter's childcare. The provider is very flexible, I am a teacher and they provide a term-time contract (the only one in Stroud)
They are also happy to accommodate extra days. My daughter is very happy at nursery.The staff are friendly and she enjoys the food and activities.
The hours of the nursery are ideal - 7.30am until 6.30pm.
If my daughter is unwell, the nursery care is good and we are informed without being panicked.

My son has been attending the nursery for almost 12 months and is extremely happy when coming in the mornings.
He is developing really well and I have seen an improvement most days with his speech, understanding and general social development.
The staff are always friendly and welcoming and my son
enjoys the vast array of food that is available.
I would definitely recommend this nursery to friends and family.

I would highly recommend this nursery. Both my children have been here, we've never had any problems, issues.
All the staff are lovely and friendly.
I cannot fault this nursery at all.
All the rooms are well equipped and decorated, the outside space is lovely and safe for all the children.

My child has settled in lovely within the nursery setting. She seems happy with all members of staff. At the early stages when my child was slightly unsure about being left/away from me. All the staff were lovely and reassuring and let me stay in reception for a while, then they would go up and check
to see that she had settled. I always get a detailed report of her day. Overall a lovely relaxed and child happy environment. 5* treatment.

My daughter thoroughly enjoys her time there and the staff are super, however we've had numerous issues with the administration and billing, receiving invoices for other children, and payment vouchers being reversed without consultation. It's also £10/day more expensive than a previous nursery so this
certainly adds up.

This place is amazing, the staff are all lovely, my children were always well looked after and stimulated!! I was regularly invited to look at the learning journey to see what stage of development they were at!! The cook is awesome too!!

Amazing staff. Amazing with the kids. My daughter loved going to nursery. Brilliant rooms for different aged kids. Hot food served for the kids every day. By far one of the best nurserys I have seen in and around Stroud.

My boys have a good time when coming to this nursery, and seem to eat well. They enjoy playing in the outdoor space and there is a variety of toys and activities including singing which the boys love. There is a limited amount of art which comes home (not a bad thing!) but they bring home cards for
special occasions. If you want a minute by minute account of what your child has been up to, then this nursery is not for you (I have only used the toddler and preschool room, not the baby room) you get a general overview, but limited details unless there is a problem, in which case they are thorough. I like this though as I don't want pick up to take more than 5 mins. The staff are friendly and have taken the time to tell my identical twins apart. The toilets for the toddlers and preschoolers are obviously well used, but I have never, even at the end of the day, seen evidence of accidents or spills which is quite something. The early opening and late closing is very helpful.
