My child has been attending the nursery since he was 14 months old and he is now 3. He has loved his time here and the staff are so nice and approachable. The meals are fantastic and the creativity in play is great. Very happy with our experience.

My daughter has been in both the Acorns and the Willows rooms and has had a good time in both of them. She still goes in to say hello to the staff in Acorns and to cuddle the team leader in there, such is the bond they built with her.
We did have a difficult time getting her settled at first, however,
the staff worked with us to find something familiar from home so she could feel grounded and after that, she has been fine. She now wanders into Willows of her own accord.
I generally feel safe about my daughter going in, although one of the children has bitten her on the hand and that was not picked up until we had her home. We did have to ask her about that when we noticed the bite mark though, she did not volunteer the information to us or the staff. There is a lovely outdoor space for the kids to play and I only hear happy noises from my daughter about the staff.
Staff and management are responsive and helpful, in person or via the app.

Thank you for your review. It is always great to hear lovely things about the staff and how happy your child is. Unfortunately some children communicate through sensory, rather than words at this age and biting is a common outcome of this. Staff do try to intervene, of course, to prevent this by using our positive behavior strategies and emotional tools. It is a common behavior trait for this age group that staff are alert to. However we do recognise that this is not nice for the child to experience or their parents. I am glad that despite this, that you and your child still appreciate the bond that your child has with staff and how she shows that she feels safe and loved within our care.

We have had a great experience with Edward Bears. Our son attended for 3 and a half years and our daughter has been there for just over a year. Staff really care for the children and make an effort to get to know them well. The setting is always clean with a good variety of activities. Great variety
of healthy meals and snacks.
We have seen both our children learn so much during their time at the nursery.

My older son joined the baby class when he was 11 months old. As a first-time mum I dreaded handing him over, but the staff at Edward Bears Private Daycare were so lovely and reassuring. He loved it, the atmosphere in the nursery was so calm and friendly, and from day one he played, ate and slept well
while he was there. Going back to work was much easier, knowing that he was happy and in such safe hands.
My son is now in the preschool class and continues to thrive. They do so many different activities and he is always happy to go in the mornings. The staff throughout his journey have been wonderful and supportive, helping him through potty training and working to his pace in relation to nap changes etc. They are always happy to chat about progress and any concerns. My younger son will be starting in the spring!

Lovely nursery - staff really friendly and caring, keeping us up to date throughout the day via the family app. Wonderful food, I am always jealous reading the day's menu! Our now 3 year old has been attending for over 6 months now and has settled in really well including through potty training, dropping
naps and transitioning from one room to another as he's turned 3. He loves it!

I am incredibly grateful for the support from the team at Edwards Bears. I found my baby's transition to nursery particularly challenging. They reassured me daily, and it was clear my baby felt at ease with them.
Every morning the manager welcomes every child with a smile. The team at Acorns ensures

As a new parent, I found it very nerve-wracking picking a nursery but I’m so glad we decided to go with this nursery. My children have been really settled there from the very beginning and always seem to enjoy their time there. They seem to cover a broad range of activities and their key workers have
been absolutely fantastic. The staff are all very approachable and take a genuine interest in my children and their needs. It’s such a relief to know I can drop them off on my way to work and know they will be in a safe, stimulating and caring environment. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it to other parents looking for a setting in Cirencester.

This nursery has allowed my two girls to thrive. They both started in the baby room at age one and are now two and four years old. They were nurtured so carefully from day one that it made leaving them much more bearable. The nursery have been truly supportive through big changes like potty training
and give the children such wonderfully creative (and messy!) play opportunities which are more limited at home. The girls come home full of stories and ideas and have learnt a lot of vocabulary, number and letter recognition and writing skills. They are helped to talk about and control their emotions as well as understanding good behaviour and manners. We are very happy with the nursery team and recommend it.

Overall I think the nursery is great. My son has always loved coming in and he is always kept busy, engaged and happy, mostly! The one issue of the last year or so has been the retention of staff and we feel that some of the behavioral issues we have seen are a result of the uncertainty around key workers
leaving all the time! That said, the staff are really good and always happy to take the time to explain how he's doing, what he's done that day, how he has behaved and what has really grabbed his attention.
I couldn't recommend the nursery more highly, thanks to everyone there!

Our daughter enjoys coming and we have seen an improvement in her social skills since moving to the preschool room. All the staff are lovely. We are happy with the care she is getting in helping her get ready for school.

Wonderful nursery, and have great trust in the team! The setting has so much to offer, with nice resources for the children to play with. Outdoor spaces blow you away with such lovely wooden apparatus for the children to play on, all suitable for the age range! Perfect for our daughter.

My daughter joined the nursery 4 months ago and she loves it. The staff are so adorable, with a lot of patience and support. Any doubts you may have with regards to your kid's development, tips on how to solve issues or suggestions, they always help you. The daily communication with parents is great,
they use an App which keeps you updated on the nappy changes, the meals, child development and any comments addressed to parents. It's a nice little setting that as soon as you enter, it feels like home.

My daughter joined the nursery in January this year and was very shy. She has really come out of herself and the team have been fantastic with her additional needs. The nursery is absolutely gorgeous, with lots of very cosy spaces and well-equipped, large outside spaces. I am so glad that I chose this

We had a great experience at the nursery 5 years ago for our daughter, but that was clearly down to the staff at the time. We then sent our son who started in January 2019 until August 2022 but wish we’d looked somewhere else. Lockdown brought out the worse in the owner and the feel of a family nursery
was lost very quickly and clearly down to numbers/money. We stayed as we had no other options through covid, but it hasn’t been a pleasant experience. The management is always happy to blame someone else rather than take responsibility for their actions and the recent Ofsted highlighted their faults. My son has been going since he was 8 months old (he’s now 4) and he got called the wrong name at drop-off the other week, the staff turnaround is ridiculous and we’re so glad to finally be able to walk away and never set foot in the nursery again. Such a shame his nursery days were so disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this nursery to anyone.

We are very sorry you feel this way and wish that in those 4 years you could had spoken to us rather than wait all this time to leave a negative review. We are assuming therefore that you were happy with the care received from staff but just did not like the Owner due to closing down by Gov instruction in March 2020. Covid has been hard on many people and unfortunately, the nursery charged a 25% fee for the 8 weeks closed in order to be able to reopen our doors. Rest assured this was not just caring about money but rather a necessity to continue to operate and still be in existence now. Wishing your child all the best now that they have this month left to go to school.

My daughter joined the nursery just over a year ago, initially in the baby’s room, now she is in the toddler class.
She has developed so much during this time, I’m really pleased with all the activities that they do during the day.
She is always happy to enter the nursery, most of the time she walks
straight in without even looking at me!
Since the new management has been put in place I’ve noticed huge improvements to the settings and I’m really happy with how they manage the nursery. All members of staff are always lovely as well!
I’d recommend it to a friend!

Our son joined the nursery in January 2021 aged 18m after we moved to the area. At the time, due to Covid, we could not even enter the setting for a visit, but the staff were so communicative and reassuring from Day 1. Our little boy has been at the nursery nearly a year now, and he has blossomed so
much since he first started. He rarely looks back when we drop him off, he talks enthusiastically about his time in nursery, and as parents, we know he is in safe and caring hands. I couldn’t be happier with our choice of nursery.
