Little Trees Hucclecote has a highly-skilled, friendly team keen to help each child develop in their first few years of life.

Staff encourage children to be creative, expressive and inclusive by involving all children in group activities. The nursery runs flexible sessions, designed to suit parents' lifestyle and each child’s needs.

Staff work to a 1:4 ratio, 1:3 in the baby unit, 1:8 with Pre-school.

Every child is assigned a ‘Key Worker’ when they join Treetops to ensure that their full potential is being reached. Each child will have the opportunity to experience a new keyworker when they move to a new group.

The nursery offers additional activities to enhance each child’s learning and development which sets it apart from other nurseries including specialist Music classes, fun French class and weekly swimming lessons.

My son has been attending Little trees for 4 or 5 months now and he has thrived in the environment. My son was born at 26 weeks and as a result, is very vulnerable to winter germs and viral infections. All the staff at Little Trees take this very seriously and go out of their way to protect him as best
as they can when the usual nursery germs are doing the rounds. Before joining Little Trees my son was sensitive to loud noises, found public settings overwhelming and was not confident playing in groups. He has really come into his own since attending Little Trees. I have noticed a huge difference in him at home and whilst in a public setting.
As a mother of a vulnerable baby, I had a lot of worries about leaving him in someone else's care whilst I went back to work. The Staff made me feel at ease very quickly and have shown how much they truly care for the children they look after. I really am grateful for all the staff at Little Trees and in my opinion every member deserves a 5* review.

We have been with this nursery for about 10 months and they have been lovely. From the beginning I was put at ease, I liked the setup and there was lots of space to separate ages. The separate cot room was a big attraction for me as my little one was young and still having several naps when she started.
As
time has gone on the team has been supportive and encouraging, also suggesting things to be trying to learn which as a first-time mum it is nice to gain from their experience.


The regular updates on the app have been reassuring throughout the day and the handovers are lovely. Although we have had a few different key workers we have had mostly the same staff on the day we go so has been nice to be able to see my little one build up a relationship and feel comfortable with them.

My child has been coming to Little Trees Hucclecote since they were 7 months old. Now in pre-school, the nursery has been excellent in every way. All of the staff during my child's time at nursery have been caring and compassionate. They obviously work very hard to provide a safe and exciting setting,
and the days are always structured well with plenty of activities going on. The staff are welcoming and always show a keen interest in my child's development. The Famly app provides us with regular daily updates with photo's, so we always know what our child is up to.


The food has always been of the best quality, and through the updates, I can tell my child loves all the food on offer. Feedback from my child is always good and shows that this is the perfect setting for her to have grown up in as part of her weekly routine. The nursery itself is very well catered for. The outside space is very large with plenty of equipment for the children to use.

My son has been attending Hucclecote nursery for nearly two years; he loves going to nursery!
All the staff are wonderful with him and really care about his additional needs.
We have regular meetings, and the staff are so supportive. I am always kept up to date on daily activities and kept well-informed
of everything going on within the nursery.

My son has been in Little Tree's since he was 9 months old (now almost 2yrs old) and since our first settling-in session the staff have been incredible. They have been very welcoming and the transition for him joining the nursery has been seamless. The level of care he has had during his varying level
of development (he wasn't crawling when he started) has been consistently supportive and encouraging.


We find the nursery provides a variety of activities throughout the week for the children to get involved with, and heavily utilize the outdoor space on a daily basis regardless of the weather! Plus the use of the family app to keep us updated throughout the day about how he's getting on with photos is excellent. The food is nicely varied and they really follow any guidelines we've given with weaning or milk allowances.


The nursery is also very accommodating with changing of days or changes to our schedule even with last minute notice. We've never had an upset drop off which says it all!

Both my son and daughter attend Little Trees in Hucclecote and are both very happy there. The staff are lovely and clearly care very much for the children and their happiness and wellbeing. They have a great outdoor space in which the children enjoy playing in all year round.

Our daughter has attended Little Trees since she was 9 months old now currently in her last year at the nursery before she starts school. The staff at Little Trees are great, our little girl has created such a great relationship with all of them and enjoys her days there. They use the family app which
is updated every meal time and we get sent photos daily, with individual observations too. A big thank you to the whole team at Little Trees for all you do.

My 18-month-old started at the nursery back in the summer, and I have to say, he is absolutely thriving at Little Trees.
The work the staff put in is exceptional.
I knew that Little Trees was the nursery for my toddler the minute I stepped through the door.
There is such a lovely atmosphere within,
and the staff are so friendly and welcoming, yet incredibly professional.
The staff make it clear that they are there for you as much as they are there for your children, and I really liked that.

The staff at Little Trees are exceptional at their job. Each day is filled with unique activities, provided by people that really care about the children. My child attends nursery every day and has never had a day where he doesn't run in to greet whoever answers the door. He has truly formed a bond
with each of the carers.
They provide regular updates on the Famly app with pictures and information about what he has been doing all day.


They are currently undergoing redecoration and uplift which is making each room look like a wonderful place to play all day.


He eats a balanced diet each day, which he seems to enjoy - he rarely leaves any of it.


The current management team are working hard to rectify previous issues, and I am optimistic the next Ofsted will demonstrate their hard work.

My 18-month-old attended for just nine weeks:
1) Forms completed prior to him starting including dietary requirements, were not shared with workers until prompted by me. I was not assured that his needs were understood sufficiently prior to his first day.
2) On three occasions, I was told that my
child had received food that did not meet his dietary/cultural needs meaning these were either not followed or were miscommunicated.
3) I was notified that my son had been picked up and removed from the nursery causing huge panic. When contacted, the nursery stated this was recorded on the wrong child.
4) A staff member manhandled my child, forcibly grabbed his arm, shouted in his face, and attempted to snatch his comforter from him whilst he was upset. This was seen by a worker who had whistleblown. The nursery did not inform me of this for 6.5 hours and he was left there without a source of parental comfort.
5) He was unhappy, unsettled, and was distressed at handover. Since changing nursery, he is like a different child.

This nursery has given my child the best experience, my daughter enjoys going each day and loves the staff.
The staff are so loving and kind and have the best interest at heart for all the children.
The activities are amazing and well planned! I get two observations on my child each week and they
are so lovely to see.

Our daughter has been going to Little Trees (formally another name) since she was four months old and I cannot fault the staff, who have made her learning journey an amazing experience. However, since management has changed at the nursery there have been noticeable staffing issues, with old invaluable
members dropping like flies! This has left a lot of parents including myself feeling worried and anxious as a lot of the familiar faces have left. It appears little effort has been made by management to retain their existing staff. In addition to this parents have been unfairly charged in full for nursery fees, whilst having to isolate for covid. This continues to be a point of contention.

The nursery has had a number of staff leave in the last 6 months, however, since June when the new management team have been in post, this has improved 100%. Staff are very happy in the nursery and we pride ourselves on our open-door policy. Nursery fees during isolations have been reviewed twice throughout the year, and parents have received a 25% credit at a cost entirely to the nursery, despite being unable to make any savings during isolations. Our son has been attending Treetops since he was 9-months-old.
We are really impressed by the professionalism of the team and the way they have developed our little one.
The admin is very impressive, there is a constant flow of information relating to the nursery, and our child’s development. They
have dealt with the Covid crisis really well, and it feels such a safe environment to leave our child.
Our little boy has loved all the team, loves going, and loves the variety of activity and learning provided.
Happy parents. Happy pre-schooler - who previously was a happy toddler and baby.

Tree Tops is such a lovely nursery. My daughter has been going there since she was 9-months-old she is now three. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming, which really puts you at ease leaving your child with them. They do lots of fun activities with the children and help them learn so much when
they are there. They have a fab outside space for the children with lots to do. I feel that this nursery really does go above and beyond for the children in their care; I would highly recommend this nursery!

Our little one is currently in preschool at Treetops and has been at the nursery since she was 9-months-old. The nursery has always provided a friendly environment while also operating with complete professionalism. They have adapted well to the current situation and have kept us informed as guidance
has changed. They have supported us and our little one throughout her time there and have helped her develop so that she is ready for school. I would thoroughly recommend Treetops to anyone.

The staff and setup here are excellent. My first boy grow and thrived following a difficult year at his previous nursery. My second boy loves being here, and the staff really get him, which is important to me. The manager and the rest of the team are superb. I wouldn't send my children anywhere else.

We have been using Tree Tops since my first son started nursery in 2010 (he's now at school). It is a lovely nursery, the staff are brilliant and always willing to discuss any issues. The food is varied and healthy. The children's ages are split fairly across the rooms to ensure the best for their development.
My third son is currently in the preschool there and I know that he will start school next year with a really good basis for the structure of school.

Sarah started her career in childcare in 2011 when she graduated from the University of Gloucestershire with a degree in Early Childhood Studies, she has since worked in various nurseries working her way through to be a deputy at our Little Trees Lansdown under Karen. Sarah’s favourite part of the job is the changes that we make to each of the children each session they are in, and how different the days are.
