Jabberwocky Childrens Nursery Ltd is a private full day care setting.
It offers a purpose-built interior that is suited to the development and learning potential of all children.

It is an excellent nursery with a wonderful home from home feel with highly qualified staff. Staff at Jabberwocky have excellent and varied experience in the childcare sector. This gives Jabberwocky a diversity of skills and ideas which helps them provide children with a very wide range of activities and learning opportunities.

They offer an enhanced provision for children that goes above and beyond the normal activities on offer. The enhanced provision includes extracurricular activities which include; Forest School, Football with coach, PE with coach, French with Sarah, Boogie Beat with Carrie, school readiness programme, outings in the local area to provide children with real life learning opportunities. Visits to the local residential home and much more.

The nursery has its own outdoor play areas and use of the beautiful Arboretum which is the nursery's Forest School, allowing for a greater depth of activities to be enjoyed.

The service was established with the philosophy that children need to be nurtured in a loving, inspiring and fulfilling environment. Learning is effortless when experienced through joy, play and exploration.

Jabberwocky has been amazing for our daughter's learning and development.
Due to work changes, we are now quite a drive away from nursery but have decided to keep our daughter at the site given the care and love that she receives.

Over the past 4 years, we have had two children attend Jabberwocky from the ages of 1 to 4. The care our children received from the staff at Jabberwocky was second to none. It is a wonderful setting to be part of and their forest school is a huge part of this. Both of our children love being outdoors
and hands-on, and as parents, it was wonderful to know that Jabberwocky embraced the great outdoors in all weather. Our children were always happy to go and came out with big grins, we couldn’t have asked for more from a nursery and this is down to the wonderful staff who make it feel like a family.

My niece loves coming to nursery she is very happy and smiley when it comes to going in. She enjoys the garden and going for walks. And loves to eat the meal. Which means a lot as she can be fussy with food.

My son started at age two after moving house. This was his second nursery. The first we thought was good, but by him going to a good nursery beforehand highlighted that Jabberwocky is actually outstanding!
At first, the communication was a huge comfort. They update you every single day on what they
have eaten, what they did and even their toilet movements! After a while, even though the communication didn’t stop, it wasn’t needed. I fully trusted that my child would have the best and most fun care.
My son is now at school. Jabberwocky prepared him well for the transition, and because of their school readiness programme, he has adapted brilliantly.
My littlest is currently in the baby room, soon to move up to Banders (2 years old). She started at 1 year old. She had a very different start, as she was very attached to mummy. She took extra settling-in sessions to get used to nursery. Which now, you would never tell, as she absolutely loves it there and is excited to go every day.

My daughter thoroughly enjoys Jabberwocky Nursery. She goes in with the biggest smile on her face filled with excitement with what the day will bring. She loves going on regular trips - the beach and to the farm.

I have used Jabberwocky Childrens Nursery for over 3 years now. All 3 of my kids have used the nursery. My 2 year old is still going full time.
I can't fault the staff for always helping and understanding.
Will be sending my 2 year old there until she starts school.

My children thrive at Jabberwocky Childrens Nursery, thanks to the wonderful staff and fantastic management and their genuine enthusiasm and care for the children they look after. Jabberwocky has become the heart to our family, the way our child has been able to transition in the most delicate way and to be cared and nurtured for like no other. The commitment and dedication from the staff for not only our child but for us as a family, we truly have fallen at our feet with the
nursery. The activities they provide everyday is outstanding, my child comes home with such a huge smile and we couldn't ask for anything more.

We joined in January this year and the settling-in process was flawless. My daughter settled brilliantly and the staff made us feel very welcome. Jabberwocky Childrens Nursery offers lots for the children to experience while in their care, boogie beat, forest school, they took the children in the minibus
to an animal farm the other week, we love it.

Since my little one has been attending Jabberwocky I have noticed a substantial change in them. Their personality has really started to shine through.
They are always so happy to attend nursery which was something I was concerned about from previous nursery experiences.
Forest school is definitely
a firm favourite of theirs and they love to tell us all about it when they come home. They thoroughly enjoy the mud kitchen at forest school and looking for bugs with the magnifying glass. I can’t thank the staff enough they are all so friendly and welcoming and I would 100% recommend Jabberwocky to anyone looking for a placement for their child.

My grandson loves attending his sessions at the nursery. The staff are always welcoming when dropping him off and updates us on things he’s done when he’s picked up. He loves attending forest school as he’s definitely an outdoor boy! Definitely would recommend the nursery.

This nursery is quite the treasure. We couldn’t have better care for our little ones and they absolutely love going. Very professional and good at communicating.

My daughter loves coming to Jabberwocky. The baby room staff are very friendly and caring with my young child.

Jabberwocky is fabulous. My daughter is extremely happy there and comes out smiling every day. We moved to the area recently, and the big difference is the use of outside space and outside activities. The availability of the forest school is great, and my daughter loves being outside, so this has been
a huge positive.
The children are also very hands-on, exploring everything, which encourages their curiosity. I like that they do a lot of cooking with the children, so they get involved with food prep - and the washing up afterwards!
My daughter has made good friends there and talks positively about the staff. They can also handle my exuberant daughter brilliantly to channel her energy but encourage her too, which is so important.

What a great nursery Jabberwocky is.

This setting is the most incredible place I have ever come across. The care shown to the children from every member there is exemplary. All staff know the children, regardless of their room and place; they take the time to get to know the individuals in their care. The rooms are packed with beautiful
resources to encourage growth, development, curiosity and play. They do so much outdoors, as well as being inside. The children have awe and wonder for their environment supported by regular forest school visits and the lovely outdoor area, as well as music and movement and exciting trips out to farms and visitors- recently exotic animals! There is nothing that is too much for the staff to do for you to ensure your child is happy. They take the time to feedback the day, report regularly on their development and share with you via conversations, their journal and the app. I couldn't be happier here as a parent and my child is excited about coming in each time she arrives.

I pick my grandchild up on a regular basis from Jabberwocky Nursery.
He always comes out absolutely full of beans, telling me about what he has done that day.
The staff are always so very kind and helpful and fill me in on what he has eaten throughout the day and any other information around him.
The
opportunities that Jabberwocky provide are incredible, and you most definitely get your money's worth and more due to all of the experiences they provide.
My particular favourite thing is the forest school, as I, myself, am an outdoor person, always going on walks and enjoying the outdoors at every opportunity; my grandson definitely does too and gets so excited on the days he goes up to forest school.
I would highly recommend Jabberwocky to anyone looking for a nursery for their child; it is truly fantastic.

Finding a nursery for your little ones to attend is a big step - the nursery team are going to be caring, educating and influencing your child. We are so lucky to have found Jabberwocky's so close to home; it really wasn't a hard choice.
Pretty much every day our child is there, they get to go to Forest
School, creating bird feeder, looking for bugs and generally everting nature has to offer. Even on cold days, they are yurts so settle in for a story and a snack. They are enjoying singing and dancing, little trips out, along with starting to get them school ready.
I'll be honest, our child struggled to settle to start with, but together with Jabberwocky's, we instigated little ways to help. Being responsible for taking small toys and books home and returning them at the next session to creating a folder with all of the nursey team member so we could talk at home about nursery. It really is a great partnership, and we have one very happy settled child. Highly recommend this wonderful nursey.

We’ve experienced several nurseries, and we now commute 40-minutes each way so our children can experience the best provision we’ve ever come across. The balance between the nature-led, holistic forest school approach, with thoughtful and regular excursions (for example to buy Christmas trees, choose
sandwich-making bread from local bakeries, experience touring art shows, or garden centres to buy new plants), with disco’s, visiting football coaches, visiting scientists, animals and weekly cooking classes is truly the best of both worlds and the only nursery I’ve come across to do both sides so well. The staff are unbelievable, kind, energetic, innovative and super dedicated. I would recommend Jabberwocky to anyone and everyone. We feel very, very lucky to be able to have both our children experience this wonderful place.

Jabberwocky is a place of love, kindness, fun, joy and learning. I cannot recommend Jabberwocky enough. My daughter has been going since she was 8-months in the middle of a global pandemic, and they've been amazing. She absolutely loves her time there. Excellent food and what seems like unlimited daily
activities. The importance of being outside and experiencing nature is at the heart of what they do. She has become so social and developed tremendously. The team give me an update each day she is collected and truly care for the children at their nursery. Thank you for everything you do!
