Busy Bees Trowbridge, Paxton Mead, offers a bright and stimulating environment, purposely-designed for the pursuit of sound pre-school learning within a health and secure setting. All staff are thoroughly vetted and experience ongoing training programmes.

My daughter has a physical disability and has attended this nursery for the past 2 years. Staff have worked really well with her to adapt either an activity or the environment, to make sure they are meeting her needs and including her along with her peers. My daughter has developed some relationships
with other children but has particularly developed good relationships with the staff, which allowed my daughter to have that trust which has enabled her to thrive.
As a parent, I feel included in her learning and I feel that I can discuss any issue with all staff surrounding my daughter. I would pass on my positive experience to my friends and family.

Our little girl has attended Busy Bees since last November and I can not recommend them highly enough. The manager and staff could not do any more to make it such a fun and educational experience. Every member of staff knows each child individually and we have no doubts about the care that she receives.
The Parents Zone App is just great and allows us to see what she had been doing that day.

Our kids love Busy Bees! They love the staff, their friends and all of the different activities they get up to. The progression throughout the 3 years our son has attended Busy Bees, has been amazing. He really does love being in the nursery/group environment and it has really brought on his maths and
English skills.

My baby boy has been going to the nursery for almost a year now and has learnt so much since then. He loves all the activities they play. The staff are always very friendly and approachable. I would recommend this nursery to everyone.

My Granddaughter has settled into nursery so well with the support from the team. Both my daughter and I feel we made the right choice after visiting a few other nurseries in the area. We are kept informed with what she has been doing during her time at nursery, although we can log on to parent zone
and all the information is there.
She has had the opportunity to explore lots of different things and she now loves tactile media and using her senses to investigate things. The staff a very friendly and the management team make you feel welcome and are very helpful and supportive.
My Granddaughter has already built a bond with her key-person and separates from her mum with no fuss. She also loves the food and always eats well.
The parent log in is great I look forward to seeing all the lovely activities she has taken part in.
The nursery is outstanding and would highly recommend it.

A very well presented nursery, the team of workers are really polite and truly understand what your child needs. The rooms are well thought out using all the criteria a child needs to develop in their early years. This practice is well run with an excellent manager and staff who excel to go beyond what
is needed, I have/would recommend to all.
My child is 2 years old and at the end of the day when he comes home you see the difference a day can make with his speech and mannerisms. The Busy Bees team are developing him well from his strong liking to creative playing and much much more.

When we moved to Trowbridge we looked at a number of nurseries but none had the same facilities or enthusiasm for child's care as Busy Bees. The preschool environment has three rooms and a lovely outdoor space with play equipment. We were concerned she wouldn't settle in a new environment but the staff
made me and my daughter feel reassured and she very quickly made new friends and relationships with the staff. She would come home from nursery with so many stories about the things she had done at school. I feel confident when leaving my daughter that she is well looked after and the staff go above and beyond to make sure my daughter and the other children get individual activities suited to their abilities as well as group activities. The nursery is an excellent foundation to prepare children for school and I feel my daughter's abilities have improved since starting at Busy Bees.

Busy Bees is an excellent nursery. The food is mostly excellent (I wouldn't brave soup with a toddler!) and the days are filled with fun and educational activities.


My child loves the place and the staff. I think the best indication is when I pick her up she quite often wants to stay!

I can't say enough wonderful things about Busybees Trowbridge! It saved us when I was starting to lose faith in other local nurseries! The members of staff are warm and welcoming the moment you walk through the door. I know they genuinely care about my little boy and go 'above and beyond' every day
to make sure all the children in their care feel happy, safe and nurtured. I had such concerns when going back to work and leaving my son in childcare all day but the wonderful staff at Busybees supported him (and me!) beautifully. He started nursery as a fussy eater with limited vocabulary, which made me nervous, but thanks to his year in the toddler room, he now has a voracious appetite for new foods and a wealth of new vocabulary. He has flourished in their care and continues to do so now in the preschool room, who are also amazingly supportive and have helped us battle new challenges like potty training! I've discovered not all nurseries are the same and this one is a gem!

The nursery is purpose built and has a great garden with lots of resources for the children. There is a separate area for each of the age groups, meaning each space is tailored to suit. Staff are friendly and from his time at the nursery, our son has built strong connections with his key workers and
has really grown in confidence. Would recommend.

The nursery was really helpful when settling in my children. One of the children was really unsettled and wasn't looking forward to having to be away from myself but the professional staff soon put both our minds at rest. They were really accommodating with their needs and helped both children settle
in even offering extra settling in sessions so that they were less anxious about starting nursery.
When the time came for me to leave the children the staff were very helpful in taking their minds off it all and giving me regular updates throughout the day, this really puts my mind at rest and made sure the children had a fab day and wanted to return to the nursery the next day.
The pictures that were handed to me on arrival of picking my children up were very good to see that my children were safe and having a lovely time so thank you so much.

Helen Nester

Welcome to Busy Bees Trowbridge, my name is Helen and I am the Centre Director for the Nursery. I have been a part of the company since September 2023 and in October achieved, with the team here at Trowbridge our Triple Outstanding from OFSTED.


I have worked in Childcare for 24 years with some breaks in my career to have my two boys. I have a passion for Early Years and promoting a firm foundation for children to learn and develop holistically. 


I fully believe this is the most important stage before children embark on their next journey, to school and beyond. I enjoy working with the team to help create a warm and enriching environment for the children here.


During my time in childcare, I started as an Apprentice right up to being a Nursery Manager. I have previously managed 4 other nurseries in the last 24 years.


Busy Bees is an advocate for the future personal growth and well-being of their staff, and as importantly the health, safety and development of the children that attend the companies' settings.


I really enjoy being a part of the wonderful team here at Trowbridge and meeting the families that attend here, both old and new.
