The nursery environment provides an excellent opportunity for children to learn, play and communicate with other children and adults.

Parents with their children placed in Tops will experience exactly what makes Tops Day Nurseries different, and will be offered flexible booking where they can book to the nearest 15 minutes.

This nursery is part of a group that provides the most eco-sustainable childcare and education in the UK, being respectful of the environment and acting to reduce, re-use and recycle resources is an important part of the culture and routine for the children and staff.

A number of extra benefits are offered to Tops Salisbury families. As well as flexible booking, Tops also offer Tops Forest School, Cooking School, tooth brushing, Rugby Rangers, Hi 5’s after school and holiday club for school children up to the age of 11 and much more! As part of the Potty Training Academy, the nursery also supports both parents and children to excel with potty training.

During a child’s day at nursery, staff will record important information to share with families, such as sleep times/nappy changes and information about milk/food intake. This information is added to a daily report which is submitted onto EYLOG.

Tops Day Nurseries has introduced a no-added sugar menu to all nurseries, ensuring children start their time at nursery with a nutritional, healthy diet.

Parents and carers are welcome to call the nursery to talk to a member of staff about their child and day at nursery.

My little boy has attended Tops Salisbury for two years. The staff are caring, kind, helpful and fun. They have taken the time to really get to know my son, and he feels secure in their care. He talks about his nursery carers enthusiastically and looks forward to seeing them. Despite having many children
in their care, the staff manage to make each child feel special, and my child’s individuality is appreciated and nurtured. Outdoor play is encouraged, come rain or shine, and, for a little boy who loves being outside, this has been fantastic. The nursery management team is understanding of individual circumstances and has been very flexible and accommodating, which makes all the difference when things go wrong. I’m so pleased we found Tops!

Our son was in Tops Salisbury since he was 10-months-old until he graduated Pre-school. The staff has been an amazing support to us like family, professional, friendly and accommodating (flexible with their schedule, and quick to reply to queries and provide information). They go the extra mile for
their care for the children, and our son had loved his time at Tops Salisbury. They offer a good balance of outdoor and indoor plays. We look forward to coming back to holiday club.

My daughter started here in a hurry at the beginning of lockdown as her old nursery closed. I was really worried about moving her with no notice, going straight into full days. However, she settled in straight away and loved it, no tears at drop off etc, which I can only put down to how she was welcomed
by the staff, who were so kind to her (and to me!) during this stressful period. There are frequent photos, videos and reports via the log so I get a feel of how she’s doing. They spend a lot of time exploring outdoors, which is great, as she comes home happy and tired! The staff were really supportive during potty training, and she seems to enjoy the food, I like their approach to the sugar-free menu, as she then doesn’t expect sugary food at home either, except for treats. It is more expensive than the last nursery, but the flexible hours and opening on bank holidays are great for NHS staff. I’ve been really pleased with how they’ve looked after her.

My little boy has been attending Tops nursery for nearly a year now, and he absolutely loves it. The staff know what he enjoys and seem to encourage him with these things as well as trying different, new things. I really enjoy receiving photos and videos of what he has been up to through the day. The
staff always give a good thorough hand over when I collect him as well as the updates through the log. As a first-time mum, the staff have been amazing with advice or any worries I’ve had about his development, which has really reassured me when I’ve needed it, while all the time not feeling judged.

My 18-month-old son has been cared for by the team at Tops since he was 10-months and we couldn’t be happier. The team are professional, kind, caring and fun he’s loved his time there. I am able to drop him off in the morning without worry or concern which allows me to spend the day concentrating on
my work knowing without a doubt he’s in good hands.

My son has happily been at Tops for nearly two years. We have always found the carers and staff to be very friendly and accommodating to all kids and their individual needs. We initially enrolled our son because we liked the look and feel of the nursery but most importantly they were able to start early
and be flexible with my shifts. He now skips in and hugs whichever member of staff greets us in the morning. He has hearing loss and wears hearing aids and they have always been keen to support his individual learning needs. The choice of activities and meals available are brilliant.

My little girl started in the baby room in Jan 2018 and settled well.
The nursery has excellent facilities; lovely bright rooms and fantastic outdoor space, away from high traffic volumes and fumes.
The children go on trips to places such as local gardens and farms and there is a whole range of additional
activities, including swimming lessons.
The staff are friendly and caring and the office team are also excellent and very efficient and helpful.
This nursery has a lot to offer.

I find the Nursery extremely good, my son absolutely loves all the staff. In the three months since he has been there he has thrived so much, he has gained great confidence around both children and adults.

Really impressed by Tops Day Nursery - Salisbury. Professional team, very quick to reply to any questions and provide information.
Very flexible with hours and nearly always able to take last minute extra bookings.
Good room layout and great outdoor space. Staff all very professional and my son settled
in very quickly.
Sensible sickness policy, in line with Ofsted and PHE advice.

The staff have been absolutely wonderful to our family. They are all brilliant with our son who has been attending since 9 months old. The staff are friendly, encouraging, supportive of choices (such as having space for breastfeeding and using expressed milk).
Our son learns so much and enjoys his
time at nursery, we love how much outside space there is and how much it is utilised.
We have recommended the nursery to friends who now have children attending. They seem to enjoy it just as much! Many thanks to the wonderful team (admin/cleaning/nursery etc) who obviously care for the children that they support and enjoy!

My daughter has been attending this nursery for a couple of years now and loves it! She has a very good relationship with her key workers and staff in her room. She is becoming an independent little girl and we put this down to the support we get from the amazing attentive staff to in which is happy
to follow any requests that I have and they provide my daughter with a stimulating/caring environment.
The nursery provides lots of activities to suit all ages and learning abilities. All children have opportunities to go off-site on trips to explore all aspects of learning, which is great as my daughter loves being outdoors!
Mostly though I love getting daily updates/photos through AyLog App to show me what my daughter has been doing which I can then share with the rest of my family.
All staff are easily approachable and will try and help whatever the matter is.
I would happily recommend this nursery to every parent.

Our daughter enjoyed and always looked forward to going to nursery. I was happy with the no sugar policy of the nursery, which was followed to the T.
I found some of the rules especially with regards to charges and holidays quite inflexible and unreasonable, but the local management was always willing
to make the best of the situation. I think the management at the top should try and bring in some changes in this regard.

Tops Salisbury provides a fantastic nursery setting for both our children and we can’t recommend it enough. The staff are really friendly and enthusiastic and it’s always a relief knowing that when we drop the children off in the morning, they will be coming home with huge smiles on their faces whilst
telling us all the exciting things that have happened that day. We always take advantage of the extra activities that Tops offer such as swimming and forest school which are both great value for money. Being able to book flexible hours around shift patterns is such an advantage and the support that the admin staff provide is amazing.
