My first daughter started at York House Day Nursery in 2019 and my youngest is there currently. We love the nursery and both kids love being there. My eldest started school confidently which I'm sure is a testament to the staff at York House. Having food prepared on site with a varied menu is a real
positive, as is the lovely garden. The management is excellent and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend!

I have had two sons attend York House from 2017-2021. During that time, it has been through a variety of staff and management, but the current ones are excellent and are happy to work with parents and healthcare professionals to achieve the best for the children.
My sons' loved going to York House
and really developed while there especially in confidence.
The facilities are great; recently refurbished and despite being in the centre of the city, there is a large garden away from traffic. My ravenous boys particularly appreciated the on-site freshly cooked food for 3-meals a day.
Overall, York House is a wonderful nursery with a home-from-home style environment.

My son was a bit nervy at first to start nursery and this was quickly changed by all the staff. They built his confidence, engaged with him amazingly which meant he thrived during his time there. He didn’t want to leave! All the staff are so caring, thoughtful and really do care and know the children
so well. It is run superbly and smoothly by the manager, who also is very hands-on and engaged with all the children. I couldn’t have been happier with the nursery and would highly recommend it. Thanks so much to you all.

Busy bees at York House are simply a fantastic nursery. We have never encountered issues, our boy started amidst the cv19 thing, and he settled quickly and really warmed to every member of staff. All staff are kind and very attentive. We have seen a huge shift in his speech development and coordination
in the months he has been going. He loves going and we love him being there. I trust the staff implicitly to care for him.

Wonderful nursery. As a first-time mum, I was nervous to leave our little boy with anyone else. Especially since he had only had me and his father care for him since birth due to Covid.
All staff are amazingly welcoming, kind, friendly. caring and efficient. Our little boy settled in reasonably fast
considering these crazy pandemic times. Very grateful for all their support.

My little girl has been attending York House for the last five months and we can't fault any aspect of the nursery. She is a lockdown baby, not interacting with other children her age from five months onwards and we were concerned that she would really struggle with the transition to nursery. We shouldn't
have worried; she loves it there and we've never really had tears at handover (something I was worried about). Most mornings she waves me good bye and walks happily off into breakfast club. There are fantastic deals that they run periodically: loyalty card stamps if you book extra sessions etc. which are really appreciated, especially when you have a child who attends full time. All members of staff seem to know all the children, one of the great aspects of having a small nursery I suppose. We would highly recommend it.

Thank you so much Hetty for your kind review. We loved having your little one with us! She has made amazing progress while here with us at York House and loved both Baby and Toddler room. She always comes in with a smile on her face and arms stretched for a cuddle.

In brief, an interactive and caring environment with a focus on natural play. Excellent meal choices for the children. My son is so excited when we leave to go to the nursery and has a great relationship with the carers. Also have excellent communication from the nursery staff and manager when necessary.

My daughter has attended Busy Bees York House since she was nine months old (barring the break for Covid) and we cannot be more delighted with the nursery. The set up is wonderfully warm and intimate with an incredibly friendly staff who all know my daughter very well and genuinely care about her and
her wellbeing. As parents, I feel we have a great relationship with the team, especially the manager and deputy, who are always happy to take the time to chat and share stories from the day. All our personal preferences have been welcomed and accommodated including using cloth nappies, communicating with Makaton, using proper words rather than 'baby language' and supporting us with early, gentle potty training. My daughter genuinely looks forward to nursery days and playing with her friends. I have no doubt that she will be with the Busy Bees team until she starts school.

Our daughter attends York House Day Nursery and they are amazing. She was a little tricky to settle with drop-offs initially, but the nursery phoned us every day to let us know she was doing well and sent photos of her happily playing, to reassure us. They are always friendly and happy to talk about
how our daughter is getting on. She has learnt so much and loves the freshly cooked food that she has there. Would recommend to anyone looking for a nursery and so glad we found somewhere that makes us feel like she is in good hands. Also, they have been fantastic with COVID, all the relevant measures have been put in place and we are constantly updated with plans and changes to adapt to these current challenging times.

My son has recently started school but attended York House for over 2-years. He was extremely happy there and really benefited from the renovations the building has undergone since he started - especially those to the garden! Staff have been excellent throughout, and have prepared him extremely well
for school, he is a happy, confident child and this is in no small part due to the care he has received at York House. I just hope that he enjoys school as much as his time at nursery!

My son absolutely loves his days at York House, Busy Bees. All of the staff are friendly and welcoming. My son settled in really quickly and we honestly couldn’t be happier. He stopped attending during the lockdown and he really missed it. He is really fond of certain staff members and talks about them
all in such a lovely way when he’s at home. He never ever doesn’t want to go to nursery and there are never tears.
The staff provide a range of activities and encourage free play too. There is a lovely garden out the back of the building with a more “forest school” type area too.
The building looks like an old fashioned house from outside (which I love) but it is modernised inside with a focus on health and safety and stimulation.
There is an on-site chef and he is really friendly too and the children love him.
Everything is included, breakfast, lunch and high-tea, nappies, water, sun cream etc so you can just drop and go which makes mornings easy.
We love it here!

York House nursery has been part of our life for almost 4 years now with our eldest starting at age 18months and continuing through til she started school last September, our youngest attending from 6 months of age til now (3 1/2yrs). They have been truly fabulous throughout! They have renovated to
make the space inviting and comfortable for all ages and have a fabulous outdoor space which the children adore. The staff are warming, caring and informative making handovers easy and comfortable. I can not recommend them highly enough! They're like an extension of our family, and our girls love them all!

My daughter has been going to the nursery for just over a year. My daughter was fitted with hearing aids six months ago and since she had them, they have introduced sign language into the nursery which is fab for her and also the other children that go there. Super friendly staff and wouldn’t want her
to go anywhere else. Thank you.

We adore Busy Bees York House. My youngest son attends and has done since he was around 6 months old. He absolutely loves it and has such fantastic care by all of the staff. I feel very happy knowing that he is being cared for with the highest standard and interacted with in such a great way. It is
super clean and well organised too with lots of great toys and activities for the children, including a great garden.

My daughter started nursery just over a month ago at 10 months. She settled in very quickly and has flourished leaps and bounds. I feel at ease knowing she is happy. The daily communication diary and personal communication about my daughters day is a great way of keeping informed. The staff are amazing
and very helpful. The nursery menu is very good and diverse.

My son has such wonderful experiences at this nursery. The staff is incredibly helpful, supportive and positive, taking the time and the effort to connect with the child. It results in a nurturing environment for the children who are always learning and evolving together. Overall, it has proven to be
the best choice we could have made for our son.

My daughter started nursery q couple of weeks ago. The staff made the whole experience very pleasant. They were flexible in terms of dates due to my work.
My daughter is happy and safe and eats really well.
I am relaxed at work all day knowing that she is happy.
Really like the verbal handover/summary
when I pick her up. Also, they fill in a diary every day about what the children ate, nap times etc. Very happy!

Current Review Score: 8.1 (8.109)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.1 (8.109) out of 10 for York House Day Nursery Salisbury is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 1 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.1 out of 5 from 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

The Average Rating of 5.000 for York House Day Nursery Salisbury is calculated as follows: ( (12 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 12 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.109 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for York House Day Nursery Salisbury is based on 1 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 = 3

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 46 number of registered child places is 9.2. 1 Positive Reviews ÷ 9.2 = 0.109

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
