Over thirty years ago, The Cornerhouse was established and quickly became a very well-known provider of excellent childcare.

The nursery has a very long history in the local area and beyond.

The long-standing team has cared for and educated countless numbers of children throughout its long history.

The nursery has come a long way since its humble beginnings, but continues to offer the same home from home ethos it has since the early days.

The setting is unique in its small, intimate size and registered for only 25 children. Each child enjoys a high standard of care and education provided to them by highly trained and motivated team members.

The building and gardens are full of character and charm, the genuine home-from-home atmosphere is loved by parents, children, and staff.

The Cornerhouse team is very proud of its history and welcomes children and their families from the local area and further afield.

This nursery has done wonders for our two children who attend and one to join next year. The staff are kind and welcoming, from management all the way down the chain, I would like to give a special thank you to all the team for all the hard work they do; they go above and beyond, very understanding
people, easy to talk to, very helpful, and most importantly, are there for our children in helping their development and needs, constantly assessing our children and keeping us updated. I would highly recommend them to any parent. Thank you, The Cornerhouse Nursery for all that you do for us!

I'm so happy with The Cornerhouse - they are a home away from home for our son! The premises is a converted Victorian house that includes a conservatory that is bright and cheerful on sunny days. Their staff are uniformly lovely - they focus on supporting development, but in a positive, nurturing way
that is evident in how happy our son is going in each day. He is so comfortable and clearly bonded with his key worker and others that when I drop him off, he often walks in as if he owns the place - which sets my mind at rest knowing he's so happy there! Communication with parents is excellent, and in our case, they have been really proactive in engaging with us on how to help our son reach developmental milestones. They have also been great at managing his food allergies, meaning I know he is safe, but still getting a well-balanced diet. I've already recommended Corner House to two families who live on my street and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it again.

We love The Cornerhouse! Our daughter settled in nicely from day one, and since she started there, she’s learned so much. Her speech especially has developed a lot. And she really has bonded with her carers and her little friends. Highly recommend!

We are extremely happy with The Cornerhouse Nursery. Our little boy has been attending the nursery for the past two years and his brother will be joining in the next couple of months. The staff are fantastic, they know all of the children and take a genuine interest in their development and well being.
We can see that our son is so happy to attend the nursery and therefore we had no doubts about sending our second child to join him. We have and continue to be amazed at the things that our son has learned at the nursery. This is without a doubt, is thanks to so much time and effort that the staff put in to the huge variety of activities they do each day. The food is varied and healthy, they spend so much time outdoors and we have a fantastic app that updates us throughout the day with all of their activities, meals and nap times.

My daughter started at The Cornerhouse Nursery last year and this nursery truly is amazing, it is a home away from home. Regardless of what room they work in every member of staff knows my daughter and welcomes her with a big smile. They are nurturing, kind and knowledgeable in child development. During
her settling in period, the staff supported not only her but me with the process of introducing her to childcare for the first time. Communication with management has also always been excellent. The nursery has the perfect balance of free play and structured learning activities both inside and outside and my daughter has come on leaps and bounds with her learning and speech. When choosing a nursery it was really important to me that my daughter was given healthy, well balanced meals and the food at the nursery is amazing, she eats much better than me! The meals including snacks are healthy, home cooked, and well varied. I would highly recommend The Cornerhouse Nursery.

Can't recommend this nursery enough! Our child has been in the The Cornerhouse Nursery for over two years and we can see how well is he growing, developing and learning new things every day. We get very regular feedback on his development from the key worker. Nursery is excellent from all the aspects.
My child was a very picky eater, however thanks to nursery staff that promotes 'healthy eating' he started eating a big variety of fruits, vegetables and various meals. They also made the potty training process very easy for us.
Our child loves going to The Cornerhouse Nursery and I would highly recommend it to any parents looking for the warm and friendly atmosphere surrounding their child while they are in the nursery.

We highly recommend The Cornerhouse Nursery. Our little boy has been there since he was one years old and he absolutely loves it. He is a shy little boy and struggles with new places and new people, so we were anxious about how he would adapt to nursery. The staff at The Cornerhouse Nursery were really
patient and understanding with him and really took the time to get to know him. They were flexible and open minded to how we wanted to manage his settling in sessions, which I really appreciated. His confidence has grown over the time he has been there and it's really lovely to see the positive relationships he has developed. His social and cognitive development has improved significantly and the staff are brilliant at helping to promote his independence. I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough.

I started my Early Years adventure in 2001 when I began studying for a BTEC Diploma in Early Years and I am also DSL trained. Over the course of 20 years I have worked my way up from Nursery Practitioner in a very busy Baby unit to the room leader in the Toddler unit then to Deputy Manager and now a Nursery Manager, and it's been an amazing journey! The joy of seeing a child grasp something you've taught is priceless. Those "aha" moments make everything worthwhile.
