Cotton Tails Day Nursery provides private day care for children 0-5 years old. The nursery is open Mon – Fri, 7.30am - 6pm, 52 weeks of the year excluding bank holidays.

Cotton Tails Nursery has been open since August 1996, originally a much smaller premises, but with the demand of the childcare sector Cotton Tails has grown over the past years. In January 2013, it opened its doors to a whole new wing, now complete with extensive bright and vibrant rooms having everything available for both child and nursery practitioner.

Wonderful staff, friendly atmosphere. My little girl is so happy coming in and the staff make her feel so settled. I was a first time mum nervous about sending my little girl to nursery but the staff made me feel at ease and the transition has been amazing.
Would highly recommend!

Our daughter started nursery here 6 months ago and we are so happy that we picked this nursery. The staff are amazing, they helped our daughter settle in so quickly and they are always so caring and friendly. They really go above and beyond for the children. The staff also really care for the parents
too, I've been to three stay and plays/events and they've all been so much fun! I would 100% recommend this nursery to anyone, our daughter absolutely loves it there!

Thoroughly enjoyed spending time with my granddaughter at the Mothers Day event. It's clear to see how much the staff care for the children. The event was very well organised and it was lovely to see the interaction between the children and the staff.

Wonderful nursery and staff. My child has been at the nursery for over a year. She has comes on leaps and bounds and absolutely loves going to nursery. Staff are friendly, helpful and caring. There's lots of diverse activities and events for the children as well as opportunities for parents to get involved.
The Christmas evening is always the highlight of the year. I would 100% highly recommend the nursery!

Absoloutly amazing nursery! The staff are all so lovely, they genuinely care and all so friendly. They keep me updated on the app with lots of photos throughout the day! My daughter eats well at nursery and enjoys all the activities they do throughout the day! The park area is lovely with lots of secure
outdoor space to play! I 100% recommend this nursery!!

Such a nice nursery, the staff are lovely and friendly and have helped my child settle in quickly. My child is happy when I drop her off, and has developed quite a bit in the short time they have been here. Staff provide updates in person and through the app, would highly recommend.

Our son started at this nursery in September, and we've been incredibly impressed with the love, attention and dedication he receives on the two days a week he does.
Despite taking a couple of weeks to settle into the routine of nursery, the girls in the tinies room have been absolutely amazing in
getting him settled.
He's also moved on leaps and bounds with eating more solids, which they've supported with, as well as the more social aspects with other children. It's also great to see what he's doing with daily updates in person, and weekly updates with pictures on their app.
A fantastic nursery, highly recommended!

My first child attended Cotton Tails and I chose based on word of mouth. She had a fantastic nurturing experience. She came on leaps and bounds whilst attending. My second child currently attends and I wouldn't have chosen anywhere else. Staff go above and beyond for every child and build lovely bonds.
I wouldn't pick any other day care provider to look after my babies.

We have been delighted by our experience of Cotton Tails Nursery. They look after the children so well, with lots of diverse activities. We also really appreciate the occasional events involving parents such as the Christmas evening. Our oldest child attended a different nursery, and there is a great
deal we appreciate about Cotton Tails in comparison to that one.

A fab nursery. Staff are friendly, hard working, caring and really helpful. Meals are health and a good variety is offered. They prepared our eldest well for starting school. Highly recommend this nursery.

Staff were extremely friendly as always! Loved the decorations and the activities for all kids. Cake sale was lovely and my little one loved meeting Santa and receiving his present. Looking forward to next years already!

Attended the Christmas evening at the nursery for the 3rd year in a row. Every single one of the staff works so hard to make the rooms look brilliant. The time and effort it must take to set everything up and make it such a nice evening doesn't go unnoticed.
Friendly, hard working staff who are always
welcoming. Our two kids have a great relationship with all the staff. Would absolutely recommend anyone looking for a nursery chose this one.

Cotton Tails is an amazing nursery!
Both of my boys have been there, and one still is. It's so lovely to know they are so well looked after and most of all always have lots of fun and lovely activities for the children. Food is also good as both of my boys have always eaten anything they are given
by nursery. All the staff are lovely and helpful and have a good relationship with my child. We get lots of lovely updates throughout his day at nursery and it's so nice to see lots of pictures of him having fun and happy!

All the staff at Cotton Tails are amazing and go above and beyond with the children in their care.
My son started nursery in Tinie Room in September 2023, and his development has been outstanding, growing into a confident and bubbly boy.
A big shout out to his key worker who is a massive help and
so patient and disciplined with him. Also to the rest of the Tinie Room team.
I would highly recommend Cotton Tails as a trustworthy, safe, welcoming, friendly and supportive nursery to anyone considering putting their little one into childcare.

Michelle Young

Job Title: Nursery Manager

Joined: 2000

My name is Michelle Young, I am the manager at Cotton Tails Nursery. I have worked at Cotton Tails since June 2000 where I worked in the Pre-School room and then later worked in the Tinie Room which I thoroughly enjoyed.

I became the manager in 2009 which was a completely new role for me but I really enjoyed the challenge. During this time, I went on to complete my NVQ3 in Leadership and Management which has helped me in the role.

Over the years, I have grown to love my role as a manager, especially seeing all of the children grow and develop, then move on to big school.

One of my biggest aims as the manager was to maintain our OUTSTANDING Ofsted grade as it was my first Ofsted as a manager. This goal was achieved in March 2014 when we were rated OUTSTANDING for a second time. I am enjoying the challenge and enjoy working with a great team.
