Wonderful nursery. My two children both come back happy and stimulated. Their growth and development have been wonderfully nurtured at Busy Bees QE. Always lots of activities to do including french and PE. Lots of toys and outdoor play. Lovely festive activities and celebrations including a very cute
and impressive Christmas play. My children have become very confident and social young beings

Both of my boys currently attend the Busy Bees at the QE. They started full time at 11 months and absolutely love it. I feel that this environment really allows them to flourish and develop in a safe place where they are really cared for. The staff are always helpful and friendly and although the fees
may seem expensive at a first a first glance, however, I know that I get a lot for my money (other providers charge almost the same but have a lot less to offer). The food is great and they are always looking at ways to improve things, they are also very interested in local community ties and work hard to bring new experiences to the children.

Busy Bees is a fantastic nursery and the staff are very obviously very dedicated to making each child feel valued and unique. My daughter has created strong bonds with her nursery key worker and other regular staff and it is lovely to see that they genuinely care for her also. I do think more use could
be made of the outdoor space and opportunities for outdoor learning could be maximised.

Very happy with Busy Bees QE, both my daughters attend (3 and 1) and both go into their rooms with smiles on their faces. The staff are well informed and attentive regarding my daughters and standards have never slipped.

I would definitely recommend this nursery to anyone

My son has been full time at this nursery from 6 months (now 18 months). We are really pleased with the nursery and would definitely recommend it. Initially, I was still breastfeeding so I used to go in at lunchtime to feed him which was great and they were very supportive of this. When I decided I
wanted to move to bottles, we then had trouble encouraging him to drink from a bottle but the staff in his room were absolutely great and so flexible to make things work for us - I can't thank them enough.
He has now moved up to the next class and initially, we were sad for him to move out of the original room but he has a great new group of people looking after him and he has clearly bonded with them as he goes in happily and gives them a hug. They do all kinds of activities - making cakes, painting, sand, water and we really like it that they go outside loads even in the winter.

The staff are friendly and helpful and seem very caring. My daughter settled very quickly and doesn't like to leave at the end of the day! She seems to have access to a wide range of toys and activities for her age group (1 year) so far. It is a very convenient location for hospital staff.

My daughter has been attending this nursery for the last year since she was 6 months old and my husband and I are very pleased with it. Right from our initial visit and her settling in sessions, we had a very good impression of the staff and facilities. The nursery also came highly recommended by several
friends and colleagues.

The staff seem to genuinely care about my daughter and seems to know her very well as an individual. I have always felt confident leaving her in their care and she loves going there.

The facilities are great, the menu is varied and interesting and the nursery management has a sensible and pragmatic approach to into illnesses. I would not hesitate to recommend this nursery - I have just had a second baby who is already signed up to start when I return to work.

Fantastic Nursery. Our son started to go to the full-time nursery in November and he loves it. He improved so much since then. Friendly and careful staff. The facility is a proper building with lift up stairs. It is not an old house that was turned into a nursery. I really love it.

My Daughter has been coming here once a week since June 2016. She was initially overwhelmed, as she was used to a smaller child care setting with our childminder, but all of the lovely team at Busy Bees (and the children) consistently made her feel welcome and secure. They have always given me reassurance
too. I have always found the team to be very informative, thorough and most importantly to us, kind. My Daughter is happy and always looks forward to going to Busy Bees - it's a really lovely nursery!

My son loves going to the nursery especially his carers. He loves his key people and is very attached to them. He learns new things almost every day which is very impressive. He is a poor eater and has chronic eczema for which he needs regular medication. The staff are very sympathetic and extremely
helpful with these special needs. The nursery nurse has been a big source of support regarding my son's medical condition.

My daughter has been coming to the nursery since August this year, she started as she was just turning one. The staff are very welcoming and kind. My daughter always seems happy to go as she has settled in very well with the staff and all the other children. Her development since starting here has been
amazing, she has picked up on so much but also the way they work along side me to understand the development at home to help with the development at the nursery is great. I would definitely recommend this nursery.

My daughter started Busy Bees QE in September and has come on leaps and bounds. The staff have all been so lovely and helpful in helping her settling in. She has really enjoyed her meals and even has seconds at nursery which is unheard of! She happily talks about the staff here and the lovely children
that attend.

My daughter has been attending Busy Bees since she was 15 months old. She is now nearly 4. She has grown from a shy little lady to an outgoing confident girl. She has really connected with all the staff that have had input on her care and she always enjoys her time at nursery.
I cannot fault the care
and attention provided, as we will be when our time here ends.

Current Review Score: 8.6 (8.632)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 8.6 (8.632) out of 10 for Busy Bees QE is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 4.8 out of 5 from 6 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 3.8 out of 5 from 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 4.806 for Busy Bees QE is calculated as follows: ( (58 Excellents x 5) + (14 Goods x 4) ) ÷ 72 Ratings = 4.806

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 3.826 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for Busy Bees QE is based on 6 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.1 = 3.6

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 133 number of registered child places is 26.6. 6 Positive Reviews ÷ 26.6 = 0.226

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
