Merryvale Day Nursery in Halesowen enables children to have fun and develop new skills.

Children can choose a variety of activities suitable for their age group every day such as sand, water, paint, books, puzzles, music and imaginative play as well as adult-led activities.

Each child has a member of staff to relate to within their care group.

When the children enter the nursery they are given a booklet for parents to fill in about their child, a blue Learning Journal which goes between nursery and home to fill in development milestones and an evidence booklet which staff fill with photos and observations of developmental stages.

Children develop in confidence and have lots of fun doing it in a safe, rich, learning environment.

Friendly staff with a real warmth and love for the children.
A varied programme of activities that encourages children to develop and thrive. Approachable helpful management.

We are very pleased with the care the nursery has provided to our child. The nursery provides lots of free settling sessions to help our child get used to the idea of being with new people and they are now very settled. They also use an app which allows us to track our child's progress throughout the
day. Our child comes home happy and developing well. My only feedback would be if the children could spend more time in the garden or doing outdoor activities too.

Friendly, welcoming and attentive staff. We are in week 2 of attendance at nursery, and due to Covid-19 restricted from inside areas of nursery, but I will answer based on settling in sessions and my initial viewing.

My daughter has had the best time at Merryvale the last year. She has stories to tell me every night about all the different things she has done. The teachers are amazing she loves all of them and I couldn’t have hoped for a better nursery to send her to in the year before she starts school.

Due to the lockdown period I was unable to have the usual induction, however the nursery staff have been excellent and really helpful getting my child settled at Merryvale. In just a matter of weeks he is doing so well there. I feel happy at working knowing he is safe at nursery and enjoying his day.

Excellent experience, our son was fully potty trained within a month, moved from bottle to cup for milk. The learning experience is perfect, picking up everything so quickly, sometimes I am so surprised to hear some new or different words from him.

Amazing! All staff are polite, helpful, caring ... They go the extra mile for anyone where they can help!
A really relaxing atmosphere, well equipped and very creative with new ideas, they always create lovely things with the children to bring home!
I cannot recommend this nursery enough to anyone!

My Daughter joined in February 2020, I was nervous to start off with as this was the first time she would be spending time with other children and people she didn’t know. I was assured that she would be fine and she settled in straight away. All the staff are friendly, helpful and you can clearly see
they enjoy their jobs. The communication is excellent either through the app, slips, emails and over the phone. Would highly recommend this nursery.

My son has been going to Merryvale for a year now and he loves it, he has come on so much with his vocab and counting, the staff are lovely and seem to genuinely care, they have a strong management team and everything is well organised. They have handled the COVID 19 pandemic really well and I feel
safe sending him during this unsettled time. He has a big smile on his face when I collect him.

My child always comes home telling me about all the fun things he has done that day. Always speaking about his friends and teachers in a positive way. He loves showing me his drawings and paintings. The staff are always happy to help.

My second child currently attends the nursery and thoroughly enjoys her time there! The staff are great with the children and are always welcoming to parents
They will always do their best to help with any situations that may arise. The children are given a wide range of opportunities and experiences
during the day, there are lovely displays showcasing these.
I feel confident leaving my child in the care of the nursery and I know that they will provide a safe, caring, stimulating environment for her to thrive in.

My daughter has been attending Merryvale Day Nursery for over a year now, and she absolutely loves it! The staff are all really friendly, approachable and have a lovely bond with the children. I feel that my daughter has developed and learnt a lot attending here. I highly recommend this nursery!
