Ofsted rating for Walsall Wood Nursery is Outstanding (March 2022)

At Little Pioneers Walsall Wood there are four main areas within the nursery, a secure baby room for babies 3 months to 1 year, a large bright toddler room for 12 months – 2 years, another large bright room for children aged 2-4 years.

They have 5 Little Pioneers who help share their core values with children such as encouraging them to be independent to making a difference in the world. They are big on safety which is why ALL their staff are paediatric first aid trained.

They hold the green flag status (the highest award) in the prestigious Green Flag Eco-schools programme which is an internationally recognised award for excellence in environmental action and learning. They have an app, ParentZone, which keeps mums and dads informed about life at nursery with photos from their day, assessments, meals eaten and even toilet training progress.

They are big on happy children so they have areas for growing food (and eating it), regular visits to local care homes and take care of each other and the world.

Furthermore there is a specific room to support the learning of the 3-5 year olds, complete with laptop and computer that pre-schoolers can use at any time as they are encouraged to explore and access activities independently. The nursery has two secure outside play areas which the children are able to access at least twice a day.

Cant rate the nursery highly enough. Staff are always friendly engaging and when I walk into my son's room he is always happy and staff are amazing with him.
My son's speech has improved due to the nurseries help. My child has recently needed extra help and Cally was more than happy to offer this.

My daughter started at the nursery 3 months ago at 9 months old. To say I was nervous to leave her was an understatement. However, the staff have been amazing in settling her, and her personality is shining brightly. I have no fear of leaving her there in the morning, and the updates throughout the
day are amazing, the updates on pick-up are a wonderful thing, too.
My daughter is thriving in this nursery, and I would recommend them to anyone.

What an amazing group of staff. My daughter has attending this nursery since she was 8 months old. She’s now in pre-school class. Her final stage before starting school. Her development from the baby room to pre-school has been massive. This is all down to the hard work and dedication of the nursery.
All are so friendly and make you and the child so welcome. Nothing is ever too much trouble.
I would recommend this nursery 100% to anyone.

My child has been at the nursery since June 2020. She has come on leaps and bounds with her development since being there and she has really enjoyed her time at the nursery. The staff are fantastic and nothing is ever too much trouble for them, over the past few months they have worked with my child
to get her school ready for September. We get a good overview of the day through the app and when I pick her up. I really recommend this nursery.

My child has had their issues at this nursery, often more than I would like to deem necessary. The management team are always on hand or a call away to help resolve issues quickly for me and my child. Although sometimes I wish I didn't have to constantly go to management with reoccurring issues, I am
glad however that they take my concerns seriously. Their new manager is the best manager the nursery has had since my child attended and she will go above and beyond for you and your concerns. The nursery's main concern is always in the children, so even if you have to specify things about your child, they will take your advice seriously and always do what's best for your child.

My little girl has attended Little Pioneers right from 12 months old. She has loved every day she has been here and she has gone from strength to strength as she has developed. All of the adults at the nursery are so kind, caring and passionate about caring for and aiding the children's development
and fostering their interests. The adults really do care about the children in their care and it really is like a home from home. The children all feel valued and listened to and my daughter's communication skills and language have really improved. The nursery is rated 'Outstanding' by Ofsted and it really is. I feel that communication is one of their strong points and I feel and have always felt kept up to date with my daughter's day, meals, and development. My little girl loves nursery and we will be sad to leave in the summer as she moves on to school.

My child joined the Co-Op Walsall Wood Nursery over a year ago. We previously had a really bad experience with a different nursery and I was very apprehensive about bringing my daughter to a new nursery. I have to hand on heart say the teaching staff at the nursery are exceptional, from the day she
started I instantly felt like my confidence and trust came back very quickly. Now I would have no hesitation in recommending/referring this nursery or any Co-Op nursery to any of my family/friends.


Keep up the amazing work, I see my daughter growing/evolving so much down to what you've done.

Our daughter has attended Little Pioneers since she was twelve months old. She has had the most wonderful nursery experience that has helped to fully prepare her for school life. The staff provide a caring and nurturing environment, making sure the children develop a love of learning and independence.
Our daughter loves going to nursery and enjoys sharing her wonderful experiences when she comes home. She is given the opportunity to develop her own interests and share her home experiences at nursery too. The nursery has excellent communication with her parents, keeping us fully informed about her progress and areas for development. There are numerous events that parents can be involved in and themed activity days for the children. We would highly recommend Little Pioneers for any child to give them the best start.

My little boy has attended Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school since he was 8 months old. We were really nervous putting him into nursery so young, and even though this nursery was a little far away for us it has been absolutely worth it for the peace of mind, security, cleanliness, space, staff, activities,
everything. He has absolutely flourished there. It is rated Outstanding by Ofsted for a reason. I'm kept up to date throughout the day with pictures and info on activities, food, naps and nappie changes. He has a key worker for personal care who he loves, the range of food they have and the activities they do is great. The different sensory zones, the indoor and outdoor spaces, the room sizes and child led play has been excellent in my little one's development. The care and attention he receives is brilliant, and the security is excellent too. He really enjoys it and I couldn't recommend this nursery more highly.

My experience of Little Pioneers Nursery & Pre-school has been excellent. My son started at the setting in 2018 and has progressed through all rooms and my daughter is now settling into her nursery journey here. The care given by the practitioners is wonderful and gives me confidence that my children
will be happy and safe. I receive regular updates of their progress via the app. All staff contribute to making Little Pioneers such a lovely place!

Over the last three years, my son has received excellent care, nurturing and education whilst at Little Pioneers. Our experience has been nothing but positive and my son is excited to go to Nursery every morning. He tells us of all the lovely things he has been exploring when he comes home and he clearly
feels a part of the Little Pioneers family. I would highly recommend this nursery it will feel a tremendous shame when my son has to eventually leave.

My main aim was to ensure that my son's first experience of school would be a positive one and Little Pioneers did this for me.
My son started attending Little Pioneers when he was two years and five months.
My son fell in love with Little Pioneers from the first day and has always been eager to go
to school. The entire staff were really welcoming, friendly and polite.
The staff go over and beyond to ensure my son is comfortable.
My son was very previously quiet and shy prior to attending Little Pioneers. Now he is outspoken, confident and easily makes friends.
His progress, academically and socially, has been nothing short of amazing.
Would definitely recommend Little Pioneers, Walsall Wood as the best Nursery and Pre-school Daycare Centre in Walsall Wood.

The staff at Little Pioneers are very friendly and welcoming. My son can’t wait to get to nursery each week and always has a big smile on his face when the door opens. We have also watched him develop greatly since starting at Little Pioneers and it’s wonderful to see this continuing. The nursery itself
is clean, tidy and safe with plenty of fun and educational things to keep the children engaged. We are also very pleased with how the nursery keeps us updated regularly throughout the day via the app.

My daughter started when she was 9 months and has attended for 2 fulls days a week ever since. Returning to work was hard - but I didn’t have to worry as I knew she would be in safe hands. She’s now in pre-school and will be going to school in September. The nursery have been fantastic throughout -
supporting her development and encouraging her every step of the way. They genuinely care about the children which means that I have two girls who love their time at nursery. I get updates throughout their day so I know how they are and what they’ve been getting up to. The staff go to great lengths to organise interesting and fun activities to stimulate the girls and help them to develop. I am extremely pleased and thankful to the staff for everything they have done. I would recommend them to anyone who is looking for child care.

Since our daughter started at Little Pioneers in January 2021, her development has come on leaps and bounds and she is very content there. Being at Little Pioneers has given her the interaction with other children which she missed out on during the lockdowns of 2020.
The staff arrange a wide range
of activities and always give us brilliant feedback on how our daughter is getting on, how she has interacted as well as observations and plans for encouraging her development. The staff have always been very friendly and reassuring with us and I am very confident that they know how to make sure all of the children in their care get the best out of their time at nursery.
I am looking forward to my daughter being able to benefit from even more of the nursery’s facilities and partnerships as she progresses through their age groups, for example, their intergenerational project with a nearby care home.
This is a fantastic nursery and I would definitely recommend it!

The management and staff at little Pioneers Walsall Wood are really professional and are quick to answer any queries we have.
They allow my boy to have a lot of fun with his friends whilst learning key skills.
We originally chose to apply for a place here as the Ofsted rating was really good compared
to others in the area whilst offering a fair price for the service they provide.
I would recommend.

Our little one loves it and is thriving here. Wish I could rate it higher. The food is amazing too, he gets such a variety. He’s always happy to run to whoever’s there to greet him. He’s been able to explore and learn about all sorts of things here, from land snails to different religions.
