Kirsty's Little Treasures

My birthday is 13th November. I have been in childcare for over 20 years, starting as a student in college and working my way up to where I am today. I am very passionate about bringing out the best within the children and staff I work with. My favourite colour is purple, and my favourite food is spaghetti bolognese! I am married to Kyle and have 2 children Kole and Kiera and 2 stepchildren Sophie and Isabelle and a dog called Woody! In my spare time (if I get any!) I love walking, reading and going out for lovely meals! Interesting fact about me: as a youth I held a black belt in ju-jitsu and was a national champion, I won lots of trophies - you never know I may take it up again one day! I love any sort of music and really like to dance! My favourite nursery rhyme is if you’re happy and you know it and I love to dance and sing with the children! I am level 6 qualified and have a Degree with Honours within Early Years.

My name is Kyle Toolan and I am Kirsty’s husband. I am the Associate Director of KLT’s, and I am responsible for all Health and Safety related issues as well as general ‘dogs’ body!’ I also provide Health and Safety training to all of the staff. I served in the Royal Air Force for 22 years and now I do a lot of voluntary work for the Royal British Legion. I have 4 children Sophie, Isabelle, Kole and Kiera. I love animals and have in the past kept a variety of different pets ranging from 2-inch stick insects to 5-foot lizards and a snake!. My favourite part of KLT’s is seeing the children develop over the time that they are with us and the sense of achievement that it gives to all the staff.

My birthday is the 26th June, I have two level 3 qualifications one in early years and one in play work I have worked with children for over 8 years in different roles from youth clubs to before and after school clubs and then to pre-school. I am very passionate about sports and the outside world especially football which I both play and coach and also golf which I love to try and play occasionally. In my spare time I love to go and watch Aston Villa and also enjoy playing on the x box I also enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I love to read with my favourite books being Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings. Interesting fact- I represented my country in ju-jitsu by winning the midlands and national competitions and held my junior black belt from the age of 12. I am level 3 qualified in childcare and level 5 qualified in management.

I live with my husband. I love to spend time with my family and friends. In my spare time I like to go out for tasty food and to the cinema - especially on cheap Tuesday! I used to enjoy playing football within my early years and aspired to be a footballer, however then my passion changed to working with young children. My favourite colour is purple and favourite foods are pasta and pizza! I love to see the children achieve their potentials and knowing that I have been a part of them doing so, this I find extremely rewarding. I am level 3 qualified in childcare and have a level 3 in management and leadership. Currently on Maternity Leave.

My birthday is the 2nd January. I have a level 3 qualification in childcare. I have been working with children of different ages for about 7 years. In my spare time I love spending time with my family and eating out, I love watching films and listening to music. My favourite colour is pink, I have 3 older brothers, 5 nephews and 1 niece and a dog called Marley. When I was younger, I got my bronze medal for freestyle dancing. When working with children I am quite known to be a little crazy! I love dancing, messy activities and anything that is loud and, messy and exciting! I am level 3 qualified.

Sarah Hale manages our Under 2’s Unit; my birthday is 2nd February. I have over 8 years previous experience working in childcare. I am very passionate about my job; I enjoy working in childcare to encourage children to develop at their own pace. I have a big family and love spending time with all my nieces and nephews. In my free time I love playing on the Xbox, internet bingo, shopping and watching soppy films. I am level 3 qualified and am currently completing my team leading course. Under 2’s Co-ordinator.

My birthday is May 18th. I started working at KLT’s in October 2014; this is my first role within childcare. I am a single parent to a beautiful daughter Felicity who is 5 years old. I enjoy days out and spending lots of quality time with her. We live in Bromsgrove and have 1 pet cat called Gizzmo and a dog called Lulu! We love our girly time together. Outside of nursery and anytime when I haven’t got Felicity, I am an independent make up presenter and also make cakes for all occasions, so if you fancy some tips or a yummy cake please let me know! I am level 3 qualified.

Dawn Bowyer works within Dolphins; Hello I’m Dawn (also known as Dawnie) My birthday is 25th February which makes me a Pisces. I live in Catshill but am a brummie by birth! My favourite colour is purple, and my lucky number is 10. I enjoy walking, cooking and reading. I enjoy working with children as they are our future generation and I feel that they are like flowers; the more you put into them the more you will get out. I am Level 3 qualified.

My name is Georgina Turley and my birthday is 7th May. I wanted to come back to working with children after a few years break. I believe that children can teach us a lot and I want to help children to have confidence within themselves. I used to be a competitive gymnast and I became regional and county champion at the age of 12. My favourite colour is blue and I have a big sweet tooth, I can always find room for dessert! In my spare time I like being outdoors, I love going to the beach with my family. I have a little girl called Freya and love to take her for days out. I am Level 3 qualified.

My name is Charon Wilkes my birthday is 26th February. I am married to Martin and have 2 children; Dan and Melissa; who I am very proud of. I have 5 grandchildren who I have helped to look after for the last 15 years and enjoyed every minute of it. My favourite colour is purple, and my favourite food is Lasagne. In my spare time I enjoy walking, reading and cooking especially with the children. I love any kind of music and love to dance. My favourite nursery rhyme is twinkle twinkle little star. Charon is known to us all as ‘Nanny Plum’ and is our ‘Kitchen Co-ordinator’.

My name is Sam; but I like to be called Sammy-Jo, my birthday is the 7th March. I have got experience in childcare as well as working with the elderly. I have a son called Harley who I love spending time with. In my spare time I enjoy socialising with my friends and spending time with my family. My favourite food is an Indian takeaway!!!! I enjoy working with children and helping them to grow and develop. I also enjoy giving them lots of snuggles and cuddles! I am Level 3 qualified.

Amber Pagan- works within Octopus’. My birthday is the 19th August 1997. I qualified in 2015 for my level 3 in children’s care, learning and development. I have always wanted to work with children as I have lots of little ones within my family. I have 4 pets a rabbit called Lulu, 2 guinea pigs Buzz and Woody and a hamster called Daisy. My hobbies are shopping, going out for food and going to the gym. My favourite colour is turquoise, and my favourite food is pasta. Working with children is very rewarding as you get to see the children grow and develop. My favourite nursery rhyme is 5 little speckled frogs. I am level 3 qualified.

My name is Vicky Bidmead I currently work within the Under 2’s Unit. My Birthday is the 26th May. Although my background is in catering, I decided I wanted a change of career and working with children is where my heart truly lies. My favourite colour is purple, and my favourite food is sausages. In my spare time I love to dance, I took my first dance lesson aged 4 and have been dancing ever since. I love to see children achieve their potential and find it really rewarding knowing that I have been a part of their journey and successes. I am level 2 qualified, working towards level 3.

My Name is Courtney-Jayne. My birthday is 6th January, I am level 2 qualified in childcare and health and social care and have been working alongside children since 2016 I have previously worked in other nurseries and as a one to one support with a child with complex needs. I love socialising with my friends and family I have 2 younger brothers and a younger sister. One hobby I have is dancing where I take part in lessons, teaching and carrying out shows. I am really looking forward to starting my level 3 in Early Years with KLT’s. I am level 2 qualified working towards Level 3.

My name is Abbie Louise. My birthday is 14th October. I am very creative and love thinking of new tuff tray ideas which are various invitations for the children to have fun but also learn and explore. I am currently completing my NVQ level 3 childcare qualification. I am a professional hair stylist however I fell out of love doing hair full time. I have always loved working with children and have previously completed my rock-climbing course, teaching children to climb walls up to 10m tall, I have also co-hosted children’s dance parties and ran Disney inspired swim sessions. I have lots of younger cousins who I have loved taking care of over the years and am looking forward to meeting your little ones! Working towards level 3.

My Name is Ruth my birthday is the 3rd march. I am level 6 qualified with a degree in early childhood studies. I have over 4 years’ experience of working with children. I love food especially crisps and chocolate. I love animals and have 2 cats who are very mischievous called Willow and Lola. In my spare time I enjoy seeing my friends and family and playing the piano when I get the chance to!. I have a degree in Early Years.

My name is Jade, my favourite colour is purple, and my birthday is the 15th of December. I have 3 children Leighton, Cameron & Lydia. I have worked in adult care for the last 16 years. My favourite story is ‘We are going on a bear hunt’ and my favourite nursery rhyme is ‘wheels on the bus’. My favourite food is anything spicy!!! My favourite place is being by the sea. I love to watch children grow from babies into independent young children, being there to assist along the journey. I love travelling and spending time with my family. Working towards Level 2.

My favourite colour is blue, and I love cake especially Victoria sponge!
Also, I love all types of animals, I have 2 dogs Holly and Harvey and a tortoise named Mojo. I love to spend time with my family and friends, I also love to go for walks, going to the gym and going out for lovely meals.

My name is Emily K and my birthday is the 7th November. I am currently at university studying a joint honour in counselling studies and working with children, young people and families.
I enjoy working with children of all ages and seeing them grow and develop throughout their years. I love messy play and going out in the garden with the children. I enjoy everything Disney and always have my Disney socks on!!! My favourite Disney movie is the Little Mermaid.

My name is Aleks, I am currently working towards my level 3 at college. I love working with children, my favourite colour is yellow, my favourite food is pizza. I have a dog called Bella. I love singing and dancing with the children and I love having cuddles too. I love working with the children and watching them explore and grow.
