My grandson is now two and has been at Painters Cottage for 12-months. He absolutely loves it. I have had the experience of 4 different nurseries, and this is by far the best. The staff are kind and cheerful, and there is regular feedback, including photographs of the day's activities.

My daughter has been attending this nursery since she was a baby - she had a real hard time settling in and being away from me. The staff members have been absolutely amazing with helping her settle in now to the point she walks in happily. She always comes home extremely happy and cannot wait to go
in the next day. The staff members are all friendly, polite and helpful! I would definitely recommend this nursery to any parents looking for one for their child to attend!

From the moment I contacted this nursery via email, they have been fantastic. The manager answered all of my questions quickly and clearly and we arranged a visit to view the nursery. We viewed several nurseries but none stood out the way that Painters Cottage did - every member of staff looked happy
and busy, and every child looked stimulated and involved.
Our son struggled being left at nursery, so the manager arranged lots of settle-in sessions to help him adjust. Within two weeks our son had fully settled in, with lots of help and support from the manager and his keyworker - who has also been brilliant.
Our little boy is always happy to go to nursery and always happy when we pop our heads round at pick-up time. We love all of the updates!
We recommend this nursery to everyone we know with little ones.

My daughter has been attending Painters Cottage Day Nursery since June last year and I can not recommend it enough. The baby room is fantastic, the staff are so caring and lovely towards my child and the support I have received with her settling and also additional needs she has. I highly recommend
this nursery if your child has allergies, they have a very strong red bowl policy and a fantastic chef who prepares meals to an extremely high standard using ingredients she knows my daughter can have. My child loves her time at nursery and never wants to come home at the end of the day. The staff are all fantastic and I’m extremely happy with the care and support my child receives on a daily basis.

Everyone at Painters Cottage has been truly wonderful influences on all three of my children. As they transition from home to school, the staff provide the additional support and personal care they need. Each time I have collected one of my children, I know they have had a unique experience that day
that has added to their development, whether it be cognitive, social or emotional. A big thanks to all staff for creating this fantastic environment.

Both of my children have been to Painters Cottage. My youngest is currently in Pre-School but both have been at the nursery since they were 1 years old. As parents, we, therefore, have experience of all classrooms. I would highly recommend sending your child to this nursery.


All of the staff are

very caring, fun and supportive of the needs of all children and of the parents. There have been times when I've needed their support in helping my child to settle, this has happened following a period when my child hasn't attended nursery for a while due to a holiday. The children get to experience so many things at the nursery. It really does set them up ready for school. My child is young for his year, yet I know he will be fully prepared for September. They take the children for walks, plant vegetables in the garden and get to eat them.


A new manager has been recently promoted from Pre-School Leader, she is highly experienced and the news has been very well received from parents.

All three of our children have attended Painters Cottage. The staff are professional, responsible, caring and dedicated.


Key workers have always been approachable and keen to assist in any way they can with our children’s individual needs. Our daughter was supported extremely well with her additional

learning need. Our son has specific dietary requirements, which are always strictly adhered to. The staff offer the whole package - emotional, personal, physical and social development for the children.


Pre-school class makes regular visits to the village primary school in the spring/summer terms before the children are due to start. Our daughter was very worried about starting school but the manager made her a photo book all about her new school, that we took home so she could look at whenever she wanted to. Needless to say, her transition to Reception class at primary school was very smooth.

Both of my children have attended Painters Cottage from the age of 10 months, they have thrived and been very happy there, the activities they do are lovely. As the nursery is relatively small the staff really get to know and understand each child and you can see they genuinely care about them. I
have never had any concerns about my children whilst in their care.


The pre-school also prepares children well for the leap to 'big school'. I would definitely recommend Painters Cottage as an excellent nursery in Worcester.

My little one has been going to the Nursery since he was 9months old and I cannot say how welcoming they were. He has settled in so well - wholly down to Painters Cottage and their staff. Even though he is so young the activities that he is included in is amazing. I love the fact that they have messy
play! He has an amazing range of foods which has made him be a child that will try anything. They’ve helped with guidance - which as a first time Mum is amazing - and never judged. They are welcoming and can truly say I am so glad that we found them and my little one has had the chance to be part of their setting.

Painters have gone above and beyond to accommodate my little girl, unlimited settling in sessions before we were both ready to have a first full day. They understood what she liked to do and put on activities for her that she would enjoy.
Always get feedback when I pick her up, and her key worker
is always there to collect her at the door.
I'm so pleased we found Painters, she's become so much more confident from attending one day a week.

My daughter has been attending for a month on the whole a good nursery but I have seen her key worker once, I would appreciate an introduction to all staff. Upon collection in the cold weather, the baby room feels very cold as the door is constantly open, is there not an option for more heating? Regarding
the books being completed when the food consumption says most or all, what size are the portions? Also, I have not seen any pictures of my little girl in the weekly newsletter, I'd like to see what she is up to? I'm worried about her sleep, on one day she had 45 mins sleep all day and wasn't put back down to make up the time missed? She was so tired which meant she fell asleep on the way home and it affected her sleep that night. The previous week the other lady put her back down, I would appreciate some consistency. The staff are very friendly as is the manager, the communication upon pick up is great and the most important thing is that my girl is happy which she is, thank you.

I continue to look into rotas and staffing closely to ensure key persons are in during their key children's days, this can often prove difficult, especially when children do a limited number of days, the other staff within each room all know each child's routines and they are also all written up by key person for staff to follow. Being an old cottage we can at times become slightly cold in the winter months, the nursery is heated throughout with central heating, air con units and portable heaters where necessary, we also ensure all children have the appropriate layers on for the time of year. We rely on parents to share their child's preferred routine regarding sleep with the key person, this is then passed to all other staff in that room, apologies you feel this has been inconsistent. Unfortunately being an often noisy environment we notice that children's routines will sometimes differ from that of at home. We do pride ourselves on the friendliness and approachability of our very committed staff so I am pleased you have picked up on this. Please ensure any concerns are discussed with your child's key person or management so we can meet all requirements.

I made a great choice when faced with the daunting challenge of finding a nursery up to the standard I was expecting - it was Painters Cottage. Right down to the extra 'settle in sessions' when my child first started, to the plethora of activities she now takes part in during preschool, the progress
of my child has felt like a priority. I never worry about the level of care my child will receive which, for a working Mum, is priceless. I would recommend Painters Cottage without thinking twice.

The setting provides a clean and friendly atmosphere for babies through to pre-schoolers of which all have been used by our family. The location has a great space for the different age groups and the persons whom have looked after our children become almost a part of the family. The nursery look to
work with you and your child to get the best from the experience, with parent evenings and open discussions at the end of the day to raise any points. During our time we have found our children to gain friends and support throughout the key development milestones and the nursery staff are always keen to listen to new ideas. All the food is prepared onsite and by a lovely cook who takes great pride in ensuring the kids get the best from their meals.

My daughter has been at Painters Cottage since she was about 9 months old. The setting is fabulous, the staff are great and the food is really excellent, that's very important for us. Can't complain about anything. We'll be so sad to say goodbye next September.
