My daughter has been going to Footsteps since she was 6 months old and I can honestly say it is one of the best nurseries I have ever had the pleasure of working with. As a person who works within education and deals with nurseries on a regular basis this is by far one of the best. My daughter is looked
after and loved by all the staff as I would look after her at home. There is not anything that is too much trouble or a problem and the variety of activities that they provide the children is amazing. The children are often taken on trips out to the local park, forest school as well as entertainers brought in to develop the children's learning and interests. The manager knows every parent by name and which child belongs to them and is always warm and welcoming, the staff are quite frankly amazing. They often organize out of nursery events for parents to attend, special mornings where breakfast on the go is provided for parents or this year Dad's got a curry for Father's Day!

My daughter has attended this nursery since she was about 11 months old - she really struggled to settle into a nursery environment but the staff were amazing with her and gave her the time and attention she needed. She’s now in the pre-school room and is thriving. Every staff member is friendly and
always says hello and stop to talk to my daughter as we get to her room.
She’s smart, polite and loves nursery. Staff deal with any issues promptly, are approachable, understanding and willing to listen to any concerns you might have. Couldn’t recommend this nursery highly enough.

An amazing, friendly, clean and welcoming nursery. I have 2 children at this nursery at the moment and have done for 4 years. They have really made my children feel apart of their nursery, encouraged socialising, taught life skills and just been there for them. I have not one bad word to say against
any of them. The extra curriculum and parties they organise are great and the kids love them. Great team.

We have been using Footsteps since 2014 when our eldest child started. Our youngest child currently attends, even though we have since moved house and it's not a convenient journey to make. I think that shows how much we trust Footsteps with our little boy. We have never had any concerns with any aspect
of our children's care over the years and I have recommended Footsteps to other parents. The staff show a genuine interest and care in the children and it really shows. We will be so sad when we no longer need to use the team and without a doubt, they provide the best care and support during these important baby and toddler years. The team are all very approachable and the manager has been there since the start for us which gives us reassurance as parents that all is good and well there.

I have two children who attend this nursery. Both are under 3 and I feel extremely happy whilst at work knowing they are cared for at Footsteps. The staff are efficient, approachable and friendly. Footsteps may not be the cheapest but after viewing many other establishments it's worth every penny.

My little boy who is now 3 years old has been at this nursery since he was 8 months old. He attends forest school at Cannock Chase and is now learning French, which he loves. The food menu is always diverse and he always eats well there. The staff, you can tell, really care for all the children and
are so polite and friendly. Honestly cannot fault this place - there is no better nursery I could imagine for my little boy to attend.

My two children currently attend Footsteps and overall, I have been visiting for just under three years. Both my husband and I are so happy with the nursery and how they care for our boys. The staff are outstanding and so caring and provide top-quality care. It gives me the biggest relief knowing my
children are safe and looked after so well whilst I’m at work. We would highly, highly recommend it.

My daughter has been going to the nursery since she was one year old and we could not recommend it more to other parents. The set up of the nursery is extremely well thought through with rooms for babies, 12-18m, 18-24m, 24-36m, 36m-3yrs and 3-5yrs. This allowed our daughter to play with children of
a very similar age which we believe allows the staff to set up age-appropriate activities which consistently support her development. The nursery is very well organised, clean, promotes personal development, healthy eating and really goes above and beyond for the children and the parents. The nursery offers additional extras such as breakfasts on the go for parents, take away meals on special occasions and stay and play sessions which are all free and included. We also love that nappies and wipes are included which we found was not the case for other nurseries. Finally, the staff are always happy, enthusiastic and willing to help whenever you need it.

In this lovely nursery, your child is an individual and not an additional number to the group. They are so accommodating with your requests and your child’s needs. It gives me peace of mind to know my little boy is in safe hands. The support you get with any challenges you face is incredible. The staff
listen to your concerns and advise you, if needed, on the approach of how to tackle them. However, if you wish to go in a different direction, it is also fine by them. My little boy loves going to nursery every day and doesn’t really understand why there is a need to stay home on a weekend. I think this is a true testimony for the great team effort behind Footsteps Cannock. Ah - and the food is absolutely outstanding, varied, balanced, healthy but tasty and more importantly, there is plenty.

Well, what can I say? My first visit to footsteps and I knew this was the nursery for my son.
From 9 months old he has attended and has progressed so much through each room setting with every member of staff from key workers, management to even the cooks taking a part in his development. The extras
that the nursery provide are amazing from weekly trips off-site to forest school, cooking club, language club to even thinking of parents with breakfast on the go. I will be truly sad when September comes and it’s time to leave.

Since our daughter started at Footsteps Cannock, we have been very impressed with the quality of provision and care. Staff have all been extremely friendly and approachable.
Recently I spoke to management as I was concerned that my daughter was having trouble coming into nursery in the mornings.
Within
a few days, things had improved and she was much happier. Have also really enjoyed the learning book app as it has given me up to date insight into our daughter's learning.

The nursery is absolutely amazing. They look after my little boy and he loves it here.
The staff are always welcoming to me and my son. The food is homemade and fresh for each child. There are so many activities and facilities they offer and more

I love this nursery. The staff are brilliant, each room my daughter has been in she has loved. She has excelled since being in nursery and this is down to all the lovely girls who work there.

My daughter attended this nursery from 11 months until she left to go to school in September. I cannot speak highly enough of it. She was always well cared for, the staff were kind, loving and made her feel special and valued. The key worker system works very well and we always felt that we were kept
well informed. She was encouraged every step of the way and was given lots of opportunities to learn and develop.

Our overall experience of Footsteps is a positive one. Staff are always friendly and approachable. We had a few issues with admin initially, but these were eventually rectified. Staff encourage children to learn and develop but some activities could be more varied. There is a great outdoor play area
for the children, but parking facilities could be better.

Footsteps is a very well organised, friendly nursery. All staff members are warm and friendly and have always taken excellent care of my little one.

Our daughter has attended this nursery for the last two years, she has come on immensely since starting in the baby room, her confidence has grown, her counting and knowledge has grown massively and she is always thoroughly happy whilst there. They always do a wide variety of activities, and always
engage parents in the activities too. My daughter was assigned a key worker in each room which has helped her settle and bond in each room. The staff are always happy and friendly and will always put your mind at rest when I call to check how she is doing.
The nursery is a safe, happy environment to leave my little one, she has made some wonderful friends and bonds both with children her age and the staff she see's each time she attends, thank you to all the staff at this nursery who have brought my little one along so much, always cared for her and have made what is a very emotional time leaving your little one that little bit easier to know she is looked after so well.

My child has been happy attending nursery since the 1st day. Staff are all super friendly, offer advice when asked about how to help development etc and I have absolutely no concerns leaving my daughter in their care. The staff put our minds at rest when we call to check on her, which they never mind
us doing if we have any concerns.


On a couple of occasions, my daughter was ill at nursery and I could not fault the Footsteps staff in how they dealt with the situation. They reacted quickly and even the nursery manager sat with her until I arrived.


The outdoor play area is safe, well equipped and fun for all the children.

My daughter loves attending nursery and has had it changed mid-term due to us moving home. This has been a seamless transition (she moved from Dosthill to Cannock). My daughter's confidence has soared and she seems well equipped for school. I know she will miss her teachers and friends that she has
made when she moves in September. The staff are always cheerful, even at the end of the day. I always feel safe leaving my daughter there.

Footsteps is such a lovely environment to send our children to. They both have a lovely time when they are there and learn new things daily. All the staff are lovely and have a wonderful bond with the children. This is very important to me that they have people they are happy to go to.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Hello, my name is Toni, I’m the Deputy Manager here at Cannock.


I joined Footsteps in 2019 as a Senior Room Leader in preschool and then went on to be promoted to Deputy Manager in February 2022. I qualified in 2010 as a level 3 practitioner and went on to gain experience in both schools and private settings.


Our nursery builds an environment inspired by the children’s interests, making secure bonds and attachments with children. Our fantastic team ensure every child has the best experiences and enjoys their time spent at Footsteps.


The early years are what I love most, watching children learn and grow from babies through to preschool and knowing you have been a part of their learning journey is amazing!
