The Crescent Pre School Nursery is a non profit making nursery that provides high quality childcare for children aged from birth to 5 years.
The nursery is an integral part of The Crescent Children's Centre and therefore shares the centre's aims to provide the best high quality care for your child. Opportunities will be offered to inspire learning built on your child's interests and supported by a loving and trusting relationship.
The nursery is Ofsted registered and are rated as a GOOD Nursery (April 2019). All staff are qualified and experienced practitioners who share an ethos of providing children with the best possible start in life. The staff would be delighted to show your family around and to answer any questions.
There are also FREE funded places available for children aged 2,3 and 4 years.

Three out of four of my children have been to this nursery and two still do. Since they have been here I have had no issues with anything at all. I am able to leave them in their care and go to work and not worry about them all day which is a big thing when it comes to leaving our babies with other
people! Their needs are met and they are very happy. The staff go above and beyond for the children always. I’ll be sad when my children have to grow up and leave.

My son has been at this nursery for over 2 years and being autistic it was a difficult time trying to find a suitable nursery to care for and meet his needs. This nursery exceeded our expectations. They have done nothing but love, care, and encourage our little boy to be the best he can be. And has
come on leaps and bounds. The amount of paperwork that goes with an SEN child can be mammoth but they are hot on this and always involve us in targets and progress. Can not say a negative thing about them.

I am so happy my son attends The Crescent Pre-School Nursery. It can be worrying and daunting to leave your child in a setting, but the staff made me feel both welcomed and reassured with my decision to send my little boy here. I was offered the opportunity for a show-around and this allowed me to get
a first-hand feel of the nursery before making any decisions. The manager showed me around and was both informative and thorough, taking me to each room and introducing me to the staff, as well as answering any questions I had in a professional manner. Each room is unique and caters to the needs of the children, and the staff are both nurturing and experienced in their approach. They go above and beyond for the children and for me as a parent too. My little boy is so content when he arrives and knowing he is comfortable throughout the day means I can be confident and assured he is receiving the best care in a wonderful setting.

I cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. The provision offered is outstanding. The meals are homecooked and delicious, and the staff all genuinely care for the children. I wish I'd known about this nursery with my eldest child, as my youngest absolutely loves it - thank you.

After having my daughter, and while on maternity leave I got a new job, meaning cutting my leave short. My daughter started to attend this nursery from 8-months-old. I can not praise all the staff enough who work at the nursery, the care she has is exceptional, and staff go above and beyond. My daughter
has had a few medical issues, but the staff dealt with the amazingly and found out about the condition to help her.
She started off in the baby room, and is not in the 2-4-year-olds room. She has never not wanted to go nursery, when we pull up on the car park, she shouts yes and waves her arms with excitement and runs in, that says it all to me.
She carries out amazing activities each day, and I love when nursery send me pictures and reviews.
I wouldn't want to send her anywhere else.

All of my four children have attended this nursery, my youngest is currently in the discovery room. She was a little hesitant when first starting due to never being in childcare before and having to spend all her time with just me through my maternity and then with lockdown, however, the staff were
amazing and comforted her so lovely, she can’t get in quick enough now. She loves it! I can’t wait to pick her up at the end of the day, and the girls tell me all the wonderfully exciting things she has been doing throughout her day there.
I love being able to see all of the different activities she has done and videos and pictures I see.
Couldn’t praise this nursery enough. Absolutely amazing!

Been a parent and having to go to work and leaving your child in somebody’s else’s care is something only a parent can understand. I had looked around many nurseries, and non seem to click until I looked around this nursery. I loved the space, especially outdoors, all the children were happy and busy
in play and staff took the time to acknowledge my presence, but most importantly, my child’s. They answered all my questions to my satisfaction and noticed I was a parent who was nervous about leaving my child, and the reassurance was warming; they sold it to me. My son absolutely loves it here, and especially the staff. I love the app where I get to see pictures and observations on his progress, and I to as a parent can participate. My son has done activities that are beyond our capabilities at home, and he is thriving in his development. I go to work knowing he’s having the best time and in the best hands. It’s amazing how the staff become like 2nd family not only to your child but to you.

My little boy started here in September 2020. I picked this nursery for him after my daughter went there. He absolutely loves going and runs straight in every morning and leaves with a massive smile. The staff here are fantastic both with the children and also parents. My little boy is getting on really
well, and I’m very happy with how much he's progressing. This is down to the fantastic staff and his key worker that work with him. They are doing an amazing job through the tough times. They always give 100% to everything they do.

My daughter has been coming to this nursery since she was 4-months-old in 2018. The nursery staff have been brilliant, and I am glad I choose this setting for her. She loves going 'school'; she had#s learnt so much and has made lots of friends. She moves to school in September, and going to nursery
has given her lots of confidence and skills she can transfer to a school setting.
The staff work very hard to ensure every child gets 1 to 1 as well as group work with different activities every day. Each child is given a mentor, and I receive update and photos of what she's been up to. I'm so glad she got the opportunity to go to this nursery.

I loved my 1-year-old daughter going to The Crescent nursery. She absolutely loves it, and I feel totally relaxed knowing my daughter is at The Crescent. My son has settled really well here. The staff are passionate about their role. I am always greeted with an update of my son's progress through the day and a detailed diary to read as well. My son has grown since beginning here - to name one thing - he no longer always wants to held by mummy and daddy
but is more comfortable playing independently on the floor. The workers are very careful with my child he is 10 months now and I am grateful for the service. Keep it up!

This nursery is absolutely amazing and I’d 100 per cent recommend sending your child here. All staff and management are so friendly, welcoming and nurturing and genuinely care and love each child. My little boy really enjoyed coming to nursery and formed lovely relationships with all the staff, especially
his key worker who he loved. The activities that they set out for the children are outstanding! My little boy loved engaging in all the messy play activities and also loved accessing the outdoor area. The outdoors is massive and my little boy loved exploring out there! I also loved how much feedback I had when collecting my little boy and loved seeing him happy at nursery. I cannot praise this nursery or the staff enough.

Wow, what can I say about this nursery other than what a brilliant setting and the staff are absolutely amazing. My little boy has just been diagnosed with ASD and after being kicked out of another nursery you could say I was a little apprehensive about looking for a new one. After searching multiple
nurseries I couldn’t find one that suited his needs till I went view The Crescent Preschool and I’m so glad I took the chance for both me and him. His speech has improved, his ability to learn PECS cards too is amazing and the fact that he’s so calm and settled is all down to the staff. Nothing is too much for them and they are so willing to learn to be able to allow your child to grow and strive there. It’s the best nursery in the area and trust me, I have viewed every single one of them.

It's one of the biggest and hardest things you can do, leaving your pride and joy with other people. The Crescent has made this transition so easy for me as the staff who look after my baby girl are completely devoted to taking care of the children. The activities they provide are fun and educational.
My baby has come on so much since starting at The Crescent. I'm always made to feel at ease when I have to leave her there and feel welcome when collecting her. The food is brilliant and catered to individual needs, I never have to worry about her being hungry or not drinking enough. It's a brilliant nursery, the staff adore the children and you can feel the love for them just by seeing how the kids react to them. I can't recommend The Crescent enough. Thank you for all you have done for me and my baby.
