Field House Nursery was graded ‘Outstanding in all areas’ by Ofsted in November 2013 and is consequently one of the premier nurseries in Stoke.

The nursery is located at the junction of London Road and Munro Street in a big detached Victorian house. All the rooms have CCTV and are large and bright with lovely high ceilings, giving a sense of spaciousness throughout the building.

There are excellent secure front and rear play areas where the children have plenty of space to enjoy daily outdoor activities.

The accredited menu is freshly prepared daily on site and can be customised to suit individual requirements.

The following comments are extracted from the Ofsted report to highlight the outstanding grade:

‘Children make excellent progress in all areas of their learning and development’

‘Children are happy, settled and secure. They are confident learners who are emotionally well prepared for the next stages in their learning’

‘Staff are extremely enthusiastic, clearly enjoying their play and interactions with the children’

‘Leadership is inspirational. The manager holds a foundation degree in early years. There is a meticulous focus on self-evaluation in pursuit of excellence’

‘Partnerships with parents are excellent’

I have put my little boy into this nursery as of January 2016. It is one of the closer nurseries and I couldn't have a bad word to say about this nursery. It is an outstanding nursery, all the staff are lovely and polite and attend to my sons needs. He has come on so quickly in these past few months
of being there and has learnt so much and still is learning. It is a clean, safe environment for my little boy and my son can never wait to back each day. I wouldn't have picked a better nursery to take my son to. I couldn't thank the staff more for looking after my son while he is there and teaching him so much they have on offer. The nursery have great outdoor activities for the children to do and a great library service available for them. My son loves books and loves me reading to him, so this has helped my son a lot too.

It was a very difficult time, returning back to work, I was still breastfeeding and my daughter was just starting to realise that I could leave her, yes separation anxiety had begun. When your baby is 9 months old it was a difficult time for us to start a new routine. However Field House nursery staff
have been very understanding and listening to me a lot. They continued to support my wishes regarding breastfeeding and baby led weaning and took on my cloth nappies without any trouble. Even her dairy allergy hasn't been a problem. It has been difficult for my daughter to adjust to being away from me, but the care and attention given by the staff and the support they gave me helped me know she would be alright when leaving her. She is sleeping much better in the day now with the positive touch and singing. She also loves the little poppets sessions fortnightly too. The regular feedback on how she is settling in and progressing is reassuring too. I would certainly recommend this professional and nurturing environment to other mums in search of a nursery.

Thank you for your review Fiona, that's really heart warming to hear. We appreciate how difficult it is leaving your little treasures with us, and this is why we approach this is a completely honest and supportive manner. We're really proud of our parents too! Your little person is a joy to spend time with and seeing her embrace her new environment is fantastic! She's developing a wonderful little personality of her own, and we'll continue to share lots of special moments with you for years to come. Thank you. :-)

My oldest son has been attending Field House since he was 7 months, he is now 18 months and loves it. When he first started he was unable to sit up or feed himself and staff helped him to achieve this. He was able to walk at 11 months and I think it is down to the encouragement he had at nursery. Staff
are always kind when dropping my son off and always tell me what he has done during the day and what food he has had when I pick him up. Parents are always encouraged to get involved in nursery activities by holding events where parents can come into nursery and spend time with their child and by also sending activities and books home. I love this nursery and my son is also starting this week.
