Bright Horizons Southam Day Nursery and Preschool has provided childcare in Southam for over 21 years and has recently been awarded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted (November 2022).

Bright Horizons received the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) Gold Award in April 2016.

The team are highly qualified and the whole team is paediatric first aid trained. The nursery also has strong links with local schools.

Children aged from three months through to pre-school will find this nursery a stimulating and reassuring environment. Children are well prepared to transition to school with the unique 'Ready for School' Programme, and extracurricular activities include football coaching and music sessions.

The nursery garden has a large lawn area and vegetable garden, and is accessible from all rooms.

A nutritionally-balanced menu, using fresh ingredients, is prepared on site, catering for all dietary requirements. Drop off and picks ups are as safe as possible with the convenient nursery car park.

Highly recommend bright horizons in southam. I have one child who left in august last year to start school and she has been there since a baby and now my second has started in baby room. Both my girls loved it there and Seeing how much my girls have changed and learnt while at bright horizons is beyond
words and that is all down to the staff and how wonderful they are

My daughter currently attends Preschool and my younger daughter is starting Sept 2025.
We love the nursery and staff, each week they provide different activities and themes (indoor and outdoor), which my daughter loves to learn new things. The atmosphere in the nursery is always welcoming and the
staff are always there to support with challenges at home from babies all the way through to preschool.
The communication between staff and parents via the app is lovely to see, receiving pictures and reports of their development.
We are very lucky to have a nursery that we are so happy with on our doorstep.

Bright Horizons Southam Day Nursery and Preschool has been fantastic at caring for both of my sons; they are brilliant at building relationships with the children and nurturing their development, improving their confidence and social skills. They are great communicators and make use of the technology
available to them to keep parents informed of both their child's progress and also what is happening in the wider nursery and Bright Horizons organisation. The nursery is a welcoming, secure place to be and both my sons have enjoyed their time there. We are very grateful to all of the staff for everything they've done, and very happy with the way Bright Horizons is managed.

My son has been coming to this nursery since he was 14 months old.
He's always been very happy here and I've been satisfied with the care he's received. The staff are consistent and you feel safe handing your child to them every morning.
If there has been any incidents (falls, cuts etc), the staff
are very thorough with their care and my son has always been attended to.
He has had good positive relationships with all his key workers and the staff are friendly and approachable
I will be sending my youngest child here too when I return to work.
Highly recommend this nursery to all friends in the area.

My son was previously in another nursery but the staff have been amazing with everything, he settled in so quickly thanks to them and he is absolutely thriving, comes home and sings all the songs he learns at nursery. He already is able to recognise letters and numbers. They are absolutely amazing!

My little boy has been attending Bright Horizons Southam Day Nursery and Preschool for just over 4 months now, and we really can't sing their praises enough. The staff are just wonderful; friendly, attentive, and so caring. Our son fell ill quite recently, and the response from the nursery has been
nothing short of amazing. Measures have been put in place to not only prioritise his health and safety, but to put our minds at ease also, and for that, we are truly grateful. We couldn't be happier sending our little boy here.

We have been sending our children to Bright Horizons Southam Day Nursery and Preschool for two years now and cannot fault them at all. Both children love going to nursery, are excited to see their friends and key workers. Communication is great, we get regular updates, lovely detailed handovers and
the app is fantastic for keeping an eye on what they are up to and for getting in touch with the rooms or office. The manager has been brilliant for us, very knowledgeable and a fantastic communicator, we always feel like we are in safe hands and it shows with how well our boys are doing, they are really thriving. The setting is great, the rooms are perfectly tailored to the different ages and one of our favourite things is they have access to the garden all the time, something not all nurseries can offer.

Our son has been attending Bright Horizona Southam Day Nursery and Preschool since he was 14 months old. I was so nervous about sending him to a nursery but Bright Horizons is truly excellent - the staff are so caring and treat the children like their own. As a parent, I receive regular updates on the
app about my son's day and his learning progress. All of the activities are centred around the children's development and you can really see the time and effort which go into making sure that the children are engaged and constantly learning.

Southam Bright Horizons has been an amazing place for my son to learn and thrive since he was 10 months old. He is autistic and non-verbal, and the staff and Senco here have been absolutely incredible in supporting him and supporting us whilst going through the dreaded Education, Health and Care plan
process (which we have in place thanks to their help). We can't recommend this nursery enough!

We have nothing but positive comments for our little girl's nursery. She has been going here for the last 2 years and is so well looked after. She's made great friends who we have play dates outside of nursery, she runs in each time, often forgetting to say bye to me. The staff are great, the activities
they set up are so enriching and the impact that this nursery environment has had for our daughter has been incredible. An added bonus is the chef on site which means all meals are freshly prepared and there's such a great variety.
Thank you as always for providing the best care and making working parenthood that bit easier. Highly recommended.

We love Bright Horizons Southam Day Nursery and Preschool, it is such a friendly place filled with joy and care. I was worried that my baby will be crying and it will take her a long time to settle in, but it wasn't the case at all. Baby room staff made sure my baby was alright and it is now her favourite
place to be. I also love that the nursery can cater for our dietary requirements, the meals are very nutritious and balanced.

Wonderful nursery with amazing staff who provide a caring maternal welcome each morning. They have never not got a smile on their face and make drop offs and pick ups really pleasant. Nothing is too much and they provide excellent care in a well-nurturing environment. The routine and meals are well
structured and the manger is always on hand to talk to and message throughout the day. I've used the nursery for my three children from 2013 - present and I wouldn't send them anywhere else. They really do help little ones grow and go above and beyond for every child's individual needs.

My daughter has been going to Bright Horizons in Southam for several months now and loves it. The staff are absolutely amazing, staff turnover is minimal and this was what sold it for us. They are so caring and loving towards her and approachable should you have any questions. The nursery cooks yummy
home cooked dinners and regularly updates your child's day on the app. There is good security and I always know she will be in safe hands when I leave her. There are clear activities and plenty of learning through play. She has come on leaps since attending. The nursery has a real home from home feel about it and I am so glad we chose it for our daughter.

I have been using the nursery for the past 7 years for both my children and they have honestly become like extended family. They are always so caring and lovely to deal with and put so much effort into the children's happiness and education. Both girls have always loved attending and we will all be
very sad when the youngest goes off to school and we have to leave. The facilities are brilliant and I'm always very impressed with the activities they do and the meals that are served. Would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for a nursery.

My daughter started when she was a year old. All the staff are so amazing. They are friendly and approachable. Nothing is a problem for them. They have guided me through being a first time mum. I am so grateful they have given my daughter such a wonderful experience and a positive start to life.

I went and saw Bright Horizons in January 2022 when my little boy was 3 months old, and immediately I loved what I saw! After registering and being told it would be January 2023, I started to count down the days. I had to enrol my boy into a childminder from September 2023 until he started Bright Horizons.
The journey of the childminder was rough and it traumatised my boy so much that he stopped eating and wouldn't leave my side. One day I had a call from Bright Horizons and they had an opening for him to start in November 2022! I was ecstatic! In tears, I said yes please and welcomed the day I could meet all the lovely team again.
From day one, the whole team made me feel safe and I began to feel comfortable leaving him. They worked with me and my boy to help us both settle; fast forward 2 months, he is happy, loves going and eats! Trusting the wonderful team is what makes Bright Horizons so perfect for your little one, they can't do enough for your little person and love them making them feel special! Thank you Bright Horizons - we love you!

We are generally just so happy with Bright Horizons. Our little boy started at the age of one and was made to feel so welcome and safe from day 1. He skips in each time we take him which is a sign of how brilliant the nursery is. Very grateful for the wonderful care the staff give! And our little boy
seems to have come on leaps and bounds with his development. Our second little boy will be starting this year.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have worked at Southam since 2003. I went to Southam for the first time for my two-week work experience placement when I was at school. I knew from those two weeks that childcare and the Southam were where I wanted to start my working life. I left school in May and began working at Southam in June.


I started as a nursery assistant and achieved my NVQ levels 2 and 3 whilst working and attending college one day a week. I worked in all rooms gaining experience with all ages of children as a nursery nurse. I was then given the opportunity to become third in charge and Preschool Room Leader. I am now the Assistant Manager supporting all rooms and my fantastic manager, Angie. I have had a wonderful journey so far at Southam and long may it continue. I love working with children, no day is the same and I get the privilege of teaching them during vital development years.
