Bright Horizons Southam Day Nursery and Preschool has provided childcare in Southam for over 21 years and has recently been awarded 'Outstanding' by Ofsted (November 2022).

Bright Horizons received the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (ROSPA) Gold Award in April 2016.

The team are highly qualified and the whole team is paediatric first aid trained. The nursery also has strong links with local schools.

Children aged from three months through to pre-school will find this nursery a stimulating and reassuring environment. Children are well prepared to transition to school with the unique 'Ready for School' Programme, and extracurricular activities include football coaching and music sessions.

The nursery garden has a large lawn area and vegetable garden, and is accessible from all rooms.

A nutritionally-balanced menu, using fresh ingredients, is prepared on site, catering for all dietary requirements. Drop off and picks ups are as safe as possible with the convenient nursery car park.

I truly believe my daughters time at Southam Beehive Nursery has had a significant impact in her early years. The team at Southam Beehive Nursery have started my little girl's educational journey in a way I could never have imagined.
As a first (and last) time mother, I was completely clueless about
life with a child........ the team at the nursery have supported me through some pretty stressful days, which is something I didn't realise was 'all part of the service'
I feel my daughter is as well equipped as possible for her next step moving into foundation year at school.
I would not hesitate to recommend Southam Beehive Nursery and the team there to ANY parent, they always go the extra mile!

Our son started at Southam Beehive Nursery in May this year. The staff were very welcoming and we immediately felt that our son would be nurtured and happy here. Communication between staff and parents is also excellent and are always there to listen and reassure.
The baby room has a range of appropriate
toys, both inside and out. The children are encouraged to be as independent as possible but also take individual needs into account.
Our son loves going to nursery and is always happy and smiling when greeted by the staff. We get a real sense of a family community and couldn't be happier with the nursery we have chosen.

Our son has recently started in the baby room at the Southam Beehive Nursery, we are overwhelmed with the love and care he receives. The staff genuinely care for the children as if they were their own and this makes going to work and leaving him a lot easier. He is always happy when we drop him off
and is always greeted with a warm and happy welcome. When we collect, he is never ready to go home as he is having too much fun with the wide variety of toys and activities!
The home cooked food always smells delicious when walking past the nursery kitchen and on feedback, our son always clears his plate! I know he is getting very nutritious meals with a wide variety.
The management team are flexible and accommodating.
Thank you, ladies, for the wonderful care our son receives.
We would definitely recommend Southam Beehive.

My Daughter has been attending the Beehive Nursery since she was 16 months old. She is now 4 and has transitioned from the 'Baby Room', through to 'Toddlers' and is now in 'Pre school'. She has loved every minute and thrived during her time in each room. I love to hear about the wonderful activities
she has been taking part in and the delightful meals she has enjoyed when I collect her at the end of each day. All of the staff, who she has great bonds with are extremely helpful and always have a big smile. I cannot thank them enough for taking such amazing care of my Daughter.

I have had children attending this nursery for the past 5 years and have been delighted with the care they have received. The staff are the most dedicated, kind and loving people you could ever wish to look after your child. The range of activities on offer at the Beehive is excellent and all contribute
towards giving the children the best start in life. The preschool provides an excellent stepping stone into school life. Also, the home cooked food is of excellent quality. I would thoroughly recommend this nursery.

The staff at Southam Beehive are, simply, superb. The manager and the team deliver high levels of care in a loving and stimulating environment. This is by no means our nearest nursery, yet we have chosen to send out youngest daughter here having been so impressed when we sent our eldest.

Both my boys (now aged 4 and 6) have attended Beehive Nursery. My eldest took time to settle however the team in the baby room were fantastic. They were patient and attentive to his personal needs. He soon settled and it wasn't long before he stopped crying and happily walked into Nursery! My second
child started straight into the toddler room. Again, he was given the right attention to settle quickly. In the pre-school room, both boys developed quickly and my youngest is ready to start school in September 2016. He writes his name easily and through the excellent activities in the pre-school room we already know that he has a creative side! The outdoor space is great. The team ensure that each child has a developmental book which is informative and clear about stages of development. Lunch times are well organised, happy times. There are some great personalities in the Nursery, (mgt team) are very flexible and very approachable. Great atmosphere, very homely!

My daughter currently goes to the nursery and I am very happy with her development there. She seems to get a lot out of it like singing songs and saying new words. She is very happy at the nursery. Never had any problems. I like the fact she has a very close bond to few girls at the nursery.

There is something very special about Southam Beehive and all the ladies that work together to make it stand out from other nurseries in the local area. I have been using the nursery from the baby room through to Toddlers since 2010 and would not hesitate to recommend it. My children have just clicked
with the team and have always enjoyed going. There are plenty of planned activities inside the nursery and in particular, I love the outside space which is where my children love to be. In terms of eating there is a varied menu and fresh food is prepared every day. Overall, the team at Beehive Southam make it a very simple decision on where to send my children.

Southam Beehive Nursery is fantastic. My daughter started at eight months and is now just about to leave pre-school at four and head to primary school. Despite us moving away from the local area when she was one, it really was worth the extra driving distance to keep her there. She has loved every minute
and we are sad to be moving on now.
She has made good friends with both the children and staff and has learnt how to be part of a community. Throughout her time there, she has been given well-rounded, age-appropriate care and education, with great support for both child and parent at times of transition, especially potty training and ready for school.
The Christmas concerts are something to behold and the seasonal activities are always charming and memorable.
When I look back on my daughter's time there, I just know that this was exactly the right choice of nursery for her and for us!

Our son has been going to Beehive since he was a baby and has now progressed to the pre school room. All the staff are amazing, they all have a genuine interest in our son, we completely trust them. He learns so much from the experiences he has at nursery, so much so that we have to drag him home sometimes!
The staff have made a very big impact on our sons development, something that we are very grateful for. The food menus are excellent, well balanced meals each day. I would, and have, recommended Beehive to several people.

My second child is currently a pre-schooler at Southam Beehive Nursery, I have used Beehive as my prefered childcare provider for both of my children since July 2010 and would highly recommend them, they have a lovely little setting with plenty of activities available to stimulate the children, the
staff are brilliant and make you feel extremely comfortable about leaving your child behind! Both of my boys have been really happy and very well looked after here and both have been fed well too.
When your child is reluctant to come home on occasion you know the staff are doing a great job, we will miss the place immensely when the time comes for my little one to go to school. I highly recommend this nursery :)

Southam Beehive is a brilliant nursery and my youngest is in the toddler room. My eldest, now at school, attended from baby room through to preschool. The staff in all rooms are fantastic and genuinely care for all the children. My sons have always enjoyed their days spent here and look forward to returning.
I thoroughly recommend this nursery!

I have worked at Southam since 2003. I went to Southam for the first time for my two-week work experience placement when I was at school. I knew from those two weeks that childcare and the Southam were where I wanted to start my working life. I left school in May and began working at Southam in June.


I started as a nursery assistant and achieved my NVQ levels 2 and 3 whilst working and attending college one day a week. I worked in all rooms gaining experience with all ages of children as a nursery nurse. I was then given the opportunity to become third in charge and Preschool Room Leader. I am now the Assistant Manager supporting all rooms and my fantastic manager, Angie. I have had a wonderful journey so far at Southam and long may it continue. I love working with children, no day is the same and I get the privilege of teaching them during vital development years.
