Busy Bees Matlock is located in the beautiful county town of Derbyshire. Within the purpose-built nursery, you will find a fantastic range of facilities along with a highly experienced team who strive to support the development of every child.

Throughout the nursery there are several rooms, each designed to suit different age ranges and development stages and filled with a wide range of age-appropriate activities and resources to help your child develop at their own pace.

For the younger children, the nursery offers quiet rooms complete with cosy cots, chairs and playmats as well as a variety of toys and resources for when it's time to play.

Along with the excellent nursery rooms, the nursery provides a spacious outdoors area where children can explore and take safe risks. So whether they enjoy sports or just being outside, there is something to suit every child.

All children have a dedicated key worker, who will not only provide them with support and care but will also update you with feedback on your child’s developmental journey. You can stay connected throughout your child’s stay at nursery by using the ‘ParentZone’ app, to keep up to date with any milestones they may reach.

My son has been coming to Busy Bees Matlock since he was 7 months old. The staff have made his transition into nursery very smooth and he enjoys coming and has great bonds with everyone.
Communication within the nursery is excellent and I feel that they always have my son's best interests at heart,
100%.
I would happily recommend the nursery to any of my friends and family, as I a confident that when I am at work, he is being looked after well and is happy and content.

My child absolutely loves attending Matlock, Busy Bees. The staff are amazing and nothing is ever too much for them to do. The SEN support is brilliant too. The activities my child gets to do are really good. The staff make sure the activities are engaging and interesting. I would recommend this nursery.

Nursery is such a welcoming place. The staff in my daughter's room are so caring and she settled so well straight away which helped me start back working. The feedback on the app is great and seeing her pictures, playing mates all day. The manager has been very supportive with invoices and any queries
I have regarding my daughter. My good comments are just regarding the value of food ie. spaghetti bolognese and garlic bread (starter and main) and then no pudding.

My little girl has come on so well at Busy Bees. She always has a lovely day and is always excited to tell me all about it. All the staff are lovely, comforting her when she feels anxious or sad. I can't recommend them enough.

We have sent our two daughters to this nursery and our infant son is starting there next week. The staff are amazing - kind, caring, friendly and they form positive relationships with the children, nurturing them whilst in their care. There are always activities set up for the children to engage in
and our children love circle time, playing outside on the equipment and fun in forest school. The key workers work hard to really get to know each individual child and will often post photos and observations to the app, so you can see the learning journey. The staff in the preschool room ensure that children are prepared well for school and support and encourage understanding of letters and numbers as well as helping children to follow golden rules. The meals and snacks provided are healthy and always varied. We would wholeheartedly recommend this nursery to other families.

Our daughter has attended Busy Bees, Matlock since she was 9 months old and is shortly due to leave to start school. She has loved her time at nursery and has made lasting friendships with other children and formed wonderful bonds with the staff in each of the rooms. The staff here are absolutely lovely
and will be sorely missed by us and our daughter. The building is modern and clean, while the outside garden areas are fantastic. They are spacious and offer interesting and engaging play environments. Our overall experience of Busy Bees, Matlock is really positive. We have always felt confident that our child is stimulated and receiving an excellent level of care. We have seen our daughter’s speech, learning and confidence increase immensely during her time at Busy Bees, which is testament to the hard work and care of the staff. I couldn’t recommend this nursery highly enough.

All the staff have been wonderful with both our children. We have had contact with this nursery since 2019 and have seen the positive changes that the current management team have made to the nursery; communication is excellent, staff turnover seems to have significantly reduced and the atmosphere in
the nursery is lovely. We were nervous about our second child starting, as he has severe allergies and additional health needs. However, the care plan completed by the deputy manager around his health concerns and allergies was in-depth and robust. Unfortunately, he has struggled to settle, but the staff in all the rooms and the management team have been fantastic. We now have an individual plan for him and he is making good progress. Our other son has made excellent progress and absolutely loves preschool. I have full confidence in them to care for our son with severe allergies, which is not said lightly, as it has been a difficult journey for us as a family.

Busy Bees, Matlock always goes above and beyond for my little boy (and me!). Nothing is too much trouble and they do anything to make the kids feel happy and comfortable. Best nursery around. I looked at six others and was immediately sold on Busy Bees, Matlock. They cater for your child's individual needs and help them to develop. The staff are great at what they do. Very friendly and knowledgeable about child development.

The nursery staff at Busy Bees Matlock are all wonderful. My son has been going here for two years and he absolutely loves it! He sometimes has tears at drop off but the staff are brilliant with him and distract him with activities to help him settle. They do wonderful activities with the children all

Busy Bees Matlock have cared for my children since 2018 and we have always been happy with the nursery. The staff are hard working, friendly and approachable and our children really enjoy their days there. Communication is good and it’s great to see all the lovely learning opportunities provided for

My daughter has been coming to Treetops since she was 9 months and is now 3. She loves coming every day and is always talking about her carers and friends. Leanne has worked at Busy Bees for over 14 years and loves nothing more than leading her passionate, outstanding teams to provide all of our little people with the best start in life and prides herself in providing that home-from-home approach for all children who attend her Centres.


Leanne has the pleasure of leading both the Teams at Busy Bees Matlock and Busy Bees Southwell and is supported amazingly by Cara and Laura the Assistant Centre Directors.


Outside of work, Leanne has a lovely little family and lots of animals who she enjoys spending quality time with down on their farm.
