Bright Horizons Hinckley Day Nursery and Preschool provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The purpose-built, single-level nursery provides five separate rooms: a baby room, toddler room, two nurseries and Preschool. All the rooms are bright and airy with plenty of natural light and access to outside areas.

A beautifully refurbished adventure garden is divided into three play areas designed to support each particular age group. Each area provides lots of space for physical development and opportunities for children to develop an interest in nature and the world around them.

Experienced, qualified staff ensure the children are cared for throughout their nursery journey and 90% of staff are qualified to Level 3 or above and regularly trained. The nursery's own supply team cover staff holidays and sickness.

The nursery provides excellent opportunities for partnership with parents through parents' evenings, forums and regular 'stay and play' sessions. Policies and procedures are designed to give parents confidence in the safe and stimulating environment provided.

Their unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

The nursery is within the catchment area of Richmond Primary School and other local schools that children progress to include Battling Brook Primary School.

The nursery was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in July 2022.

Would highly recommend this nursery! Our 14-month-old son absolutely loves it here; he enjoys exploring, reading books, making friends and trying lots of new delicious foods. The staff always go above and beyond and are so kind.

I cannot recommend Bright Horizons Hinckley enough! They have been absolutely amazing the past four years my daughter has attended, giving her the solid foundation and development to move on to school. The staff are so polite, friendly, understanding and most importantly supportive of me as a parent
too. They work with the parents to fully know the child and I honestly trust them like family with my daughter. They have handled the pandemic superbly to ensure the safety of everyone, without disrupting the children too much. I really am looking forward to my son going too, so that he can experience it too.

Our daughter has been attending the nursery since 2018. All the staff she has come into contact with have been fantastic and she has built great relationships with them all. She always looks forward to going and we have never had any moans or groans from her. The nursery and their staff seem to have
coped and done a great job over the past year with all the problems associated with COVID and there has been minimal disruption to the overall service as a result.

My experience with Bright Horizons Hinckley is amazing. The staff are extremely friendly and kind and the management are always happy to help and are accommodating. I would 100% recommend this nursery to any parent. My son has come on in leaps and bounds since starting here.
He could write his own name just before he turned 4, and he’s grown so much confidence from being here.

Cannot fault this nursery. We are always grateful for the choice myself and my husband made, so glad we chose this nursery. The nursery has been so beneficial to my son and me. They guided us through when my son's having difficulty with speech and gave lots of extra support. They always go the extra
mile, sending home nice cards gifts with children and decorating entrance even through the pandemic. Communication is great. A-star nursery and each and every member of staff!

My daughter absolutely loves coming to nursery. She only attends once a week, but she looks forward to it every Friday. She's come on lots since returning from lockdown, and I couldn't be happier with the care she receives from the girls while shes there. I love to see what she's been up to each week
and hear about how her little personality has them laughing. I feel like I'm completely kept in the loop with her development, and know if I have any concerns, someone is always there to help whether it be by email phone or in person. Couldn't recommend Bright Horizons enough.

I feel the nursey has really helped my daughter's confidence and independence. The things they do with the children are great and you can guarantee the children always learn something new and interesting. All the staff are happy and pleasant every day you go to drop off. Our daughter has enjoyed her whole experience at Asquith Windmill Pre-School & Day Nursery since August '15 to December '18, when unfortunately we have had to cut her time short due to plans to move to Australia. We have thoroughly enjoyed Asquith Windmill Pre-School & Day Nursery and could not recommend

I have worked at Bright Horizons Hinckley since 1996 where during my time I have gradually worked my way from a nursery nurse to my current position of Assistant Manager.


Throughout these years I have worked with all age groups enjoying seeing how the children all develop differently and gain their own interests.


As part of my role, I enjoy not knowing what each day will bring, it's always a mystery! Above all, I enjoy seeing the children laugh and smile each day.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Since joining the team in 2013, Sadie has gained a wealth of experience following her college graduation. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to work in all the rooms, spending five years in the 18-30-month room before transitioning to the baby room as the room leader. Most recently, she stepped up as third in charge and is now the deputy.


She takes great joy in watching children grow and thrive during their time at the nursery, especially as the early years are such a crucial period for development. She considers it a privilege to be part of each child's journey, from their first steps to being ready for school. Sadie is dedicated to creating a warm and nurturing environment where children can flourish and look forward to partnering with parents to support their child's growth during these important first five years.
