Bright Horizons Hinckley Day Nursery and Preschool provides high-quality care and education for children aged 3 months to 5 years.

The purpose-built, single-level nursery provides five separate rooms: a baby room, toddler room, two nurseries and Preschool. All the rooms are bright and airy with plenty of natural light and access to outside areas.

A beautifully refurbished adventure garden is divided into three play areas designed to support each particular age group. Each area provides lots of space for physical development and opportunities for children to develop an interest in nature and the world around them.

Experienced, qualified staff ensure the children are cared for throughout their nursery journey and 90% of staff are qualified to Level 3 or above and regularly trained. The nursery's own supply team cover staff holidays and sickness.

The nursery provides excellent opportunities for partnership with parents through parents' evenings, forums and regular 'stay and play' sessions. Policies and procedures are designed to give parents confidence in the safe and stimulating environment provided.

Their unique Healthy Hearts and Minds activities provide inspirational and engaging learning experiences using the innovative and well established Boogie Mites and myHappymind programmes.

An enriching Ready for School programme gives every child the opportunity to gain knowledge and confidence to thrive in school and beyond.

The nursery is within the catchment area of Richmond Primary School and other local schools that children progress to include Battling Brook Primary School.

The nursery was rated 'Good' by Ofsted in July 2022.

After six weeks off over the summer holiday, our son was cautious going back to nursery. He soon settled back in though, thanks to the care and support of his key worker. He now has a group of friends who he cannot wait to play with at nursery. This has helped to develop his confidence a lot.
We have
also been kept well informed about his transition to 'pre-school' and in making sure this happens at the right time to aid his development further. We cannot thank nursery staff enough for their important role in making our son the wonderful person he is becoming.

We are really pleased with our daughter's progress. We feel the settling in sessions worked very well. The staff seem really friendly and welcoming and are always happy to answer any questions or concerns.
Feedback is always given on the things our daughter has done throughout the day. There are various
activities for the children to take part in. She is always happy at nursery which is always peace of mind for parents

Windmill is a fantastic nursery my child absolutely loves it after working in nursery's I found it difficult to leave her but all the staff are fantastic and helped me and my child settle in really well. Her development has been assisted and encouraged by coming here and she loves to come here which

We have been extremely pleased with our daughter's development since attending the nursery. She has built up a good relationship with her key worker and seems happy and content when she is at nursery. She appears to be doing varied activities that are clearly beneficial to her learning.

The staff are wonderful. Our daughter has been here since she was 3months old and they have been wonderful.
Facilities are great.
The only issue is the high cost, that keeps on increasing.

The nursery has been quite exceptional. My son has had a fantastic experience at this nursery. The facilities are of the highest order and the staff are excellent. My son has developed into a confident and intelligent child who is ready to start school.
The nursery has arranged some excellent activities
and workshops, they have demonstrated a community feel which is unusual for a private enterprise.
Overall, my son has had a fantastic experience and as a parent, I am very happy with the structure of the nursery. Thank you

My daughter has had a wonderful time at Windmill. They have helped to build her confidence and helped to prepare her for school. We always know she is safe and that she has a healthy balanced meal every day.
She does a wide variety of activities and learns about animals and the world in general.

Both I and my daughter had an amazing experience with the staff of the nursery. My daughter is so confident, caring and loving and I feel this has been contributed quite a bit by the relationship with her key worker and the other staff within her room as the years have gone on.
The staff are amazing
and I couldn't have asked for any better. They have the perfect skills, both academic and personally to teach the children so much.
We will wish the nursery so much and the people, sad times but had such fun and memories and friendships made.

My son has attended this nursery for 3 years. It is an excellent nursery, over the 3 years he has developed into the kindest little boy and he has grown in confidence.
He will be leaving with a lovely group of friends and memories.

My son has attended Windmill Nursery since he was 6months old, he is now leaving to start school.
The staff and setting are fantastic and my son has thrived in their care. He looks forward to going and will be sad to leave.
They have given him an amazing start and nurtured his confidence, allowing

My little boy only started here at the beginning of April. He has settled in really well and is happy to go even when he felt poorly. He seems to have bonded really well, I was worried as he was only 9months old when he started but the staff in the baby room are fantastic and very reassuring.

like the run down of his day that they give me when I pick him up.

Staff are brilliant I have never had any doubts about leaving my son in the care of anyone who works here. The food is varied and of excellent quality and the resources available to the children are exceptional. My child loves it here.

Job Title: Deputy Manager

Since joining the team in 2013, Sadie has gained a wealth of experience following her college graduation. Over the years, she has had the opportunity to work in all the rooms, spending five years in the 18-30-month room before transitioning to the baby room as the room leader. Most recently, she stepped up as third in charge and is now the deputy.


She takes great joy in watching children grow and thrive during their time at the nursery, especially as the early years are such a crucial period for development. She considers it a privilege to be part of each child's journey, from their first steps to being ready for school. Sadie is dedicated to creating a warm and nurturing environment where children can flourish and look forward to partnering with parents to support their child's growth during these important first five years.
