Albion House Day Nursery located in Grantham, offers quality childcare for children aged from birth to eight years in a fun, happy and stimulating environment.

The nursery consists of three age specific rooms with a secure well equipped outdoor area.

The first floor houses the toddler and preschool rooms, which incorporates a range of child-height furniture, toys and play areas. Children have the option for free play and organised adult led activities throughout the day to encourage independency. The toilets are located nearby and staff are happy to help with toilet training.

The babies' room can be found on the ground floor. This room has been designed as a sitting room and offers a home-from-home environment where sleep and meal routines can be followed to ensure babies feel safe and comfortable. Babies are encouraged to enjoy activities with sand, water, painting and even jelly play alongside lots of quite time, cuddles and singing.

The garden provides a safe and fun play area and includes climbing equipment, a playhouse, a sandpit, mud kitchen, digging area, and a patch where children grow their own plants.

All staff are NVQ qualified and each child is assigned a key person. Breakfast and lunch are included in the fees. It offers funded places for 2, 3 and 4-year olds, (15 and 30 hours). More information available on request.

    Meals for funded children £5 per day (breakfast, snack and lunch)


  • Stretched funding available for 9 month-3 yrs old (11.3 hours per week) Sessions 8-1 or 8-6, some afternoon sessions may be available on request.
    Term time only (15/30 per week)or streteched funding (11.3/22.6 per week) available for 3 yr olds and vulnurable 2 year olds, slightly more flexibility with session times, please enquire.
    Funded hours will be deducted from your weekly costs in accordance with our price lists. Please ask for more information.

My baby girl has just started in January and she loves it. Every day we drop her off she smiles at staff. I can see that the staff care so much about the children and all the staff are lovely and communicative.

This nursery is absolutely amazing and my toddler has thrived since coming here. She has learnt so many things and developed so many friendships. She loves all the activities and playing in their amazing garden. The staff are so lovely and all very friendly. My daughter loves all the staff and never
has anything to complain about.
Absolutely cannot recommend this nursery enough.

After reading the reviews from other parents and seeing the facilities, it was decided to put my daughter in the capable hands of the staff at Albion House Day Nursery.
It proved to be the best decision. The friendliness, care and attention shown by all the staff put me at ease - as leaving your child
with strangers isn't a natural thing to do! They nurtured my daughter and through play, education and teaching social interaction, developed her ready for primary school. She is now thriving at school.
Without any hesitation, I placed my youngest daughter there too and staff are currently providing the same level of care and attention preparing her for when she goes to school later this year.
I cannot thank the management and their amazing team enough, and for any parent wondering if Albion House Day Nursery would be right for their child, I'd 100% recommend it. Thank you!

If I could give 10 stars I would! My son has been going to this nursery for 2 years. The team are utterly amazing and the environment is so creative. The staff are all so friendly and supportive and my son has learnt so so much from all of the activities he takes part in. I cannot thank Albion enough!

I have had my eldest child full-time at Albion since June 2023 when he was only 9 months old - he's now two and I'm about to send my second child there as well. The nursery is small and has a real family/home-from-home feel and I truly believe that the staff at the nursery genuinely love the children
that they care for.
Given that I took the hard decision to go back to work full time, I'm comfortable knowing that my children are in an environment that not only keeps them safe but that stimulates and engages them as they grow. Staff turnover is relatively low, so the children can make safe attachments with staff - we often get asked at home what the staff are busy doing when he's not there!

Our son has attended Albion House since he was 6 months old and settled in beautifully from day one. We were drawn to the nursery as there is a large focus on hygge and encouraging creativity within the children using natural and everyday objects, as well as encouraging outdoor play. We also liked that
it was a small nursery so felt there was a more homely and personal feel than others we visited. Our son is now 17 months old and is excited every morning when we drop him off, with collection being no different. The staff are beyond amazing and really do treat the children like their own with such care and attentiveness. We often ask them for advice and they are always happy to help and have lots of ideas and tips for us. Nothing we have ever requested has been too much to ask. Our child has a clear bond with the staff and we are always given a full run-down of his day. It really is so heartwarming to know he is in such safe and loving hands.

As an early years practitioner of many years, it was with very careful consideration that I supported my daughter's choice of nursery for my grandson. I can honestly say it was the best decision that could have been made, from the moment we walked in the door to view the nursery, the secure and confronting
feeling that we got was amazing. The staff I have found to be understanding, knowledgable and extremely supportive of both my grandson and the family. They show an in-depth knowledge of his ever-changing learning pathway and the Hygge ethos supports this. The nursery is supportive but also extends its play and learning opportunities to suit all of the children attending. I cannot recommend them highly enough and do so frequently. Thank you.

Cannot recommend this nursery highly enough. My son started in the baby room approximately 1 year ago and has now moved up to the toddler room. Everyone he interacts with is just so lovely and they all really know and care about my son. He absolutely loves going and playing with his friends, doing all
the wonderful fun activities each day (particularly out in the garden). When viewing the nursery alongside others what struck me was the calming atmosphere of Albion House compared to others. A truly great nursery.

Albion Nursery is a such a lovely and nurturing setting for children. All the staff are focused on ensuring the children's interests are followed and that children are engaged in learning through play.
They have a great balance of indoor and outdoor play and will make use of the outside space regardless
of the weather. My daughter started here at 6 months old and the staff have grown with her, she's now making the transition to starting school. The staff have encouraged her, challenged her and helped make her into the fiercely independent little girl she is.
Nothing is ever too much trouble for the staff and they all go a long way to ensure the nursery is a happy and safe environment.
I'll be sad when she starts school as I'll no longer have the pleasure of this amazing nursery and the friendly "family" they have become.

I can't express how wonderful and nurturing this setting is, I feel so lucky and grateful to have found them! They are so invested in what's best for each child and it really shows, just a wonderful setting with a really cosy, homely feeling and nothing too overstimulating but plenty of interesting
natural things to provoke their curiosity. I just love their ethos, I'm quite an anxious first-time parent and they also do so well at reassuring me with things. My little one loves outdoors and they have a huge garden as well which is wonderful for a central town nursery! Updates are also brilliant, with frequent updates on the app and pictures of what my little one/the children are up to. Couldn't recommend it more.

The absolute best nursery, I would highly recommend them! We were so unsure about placing our son into a nursery setting. He has struggled with separation anxiety and has found it hard to settle in different settings. However, we shouldn't have worried. All the staff have been so nurturing, supportive
and attentive with him. They've given him the time and space he needed to settle and shown so much kindness and support to us as a family. Just over 3 months in and the impossible has happened, we have a happy, settled little boy, who absolutely loves his time at nursery! The staff really are like a family and the manager is an absolute angel. Thank you Albion House, we love you guys!

My son joined Albion when he was 4 months old making him the youngest in the group at the time. I attended this nursery myself 25 years ago and felt it was only right that he goes here too. He is now almost 1 year old and I am grateful every day to Albion for the way they care for him. I was of course
apprehensive about leaving such a small baby initially but I cannot fault them at all. They look after him as if he is their own. He is thriving there and is growing into the most confident, friendly and kind boy which I think has so much to do with the staff at this nursery. Every day is different and entertaining for him but also stimulating. I am so grateful every day for the staff and have never had a concern. He smiles every time I drop him off and is always shattered at the end of the day from so much fun and excitement! I could not recommend Albion enough.

My son has been at this nursery since September 2023 and they've been amazing with him! He occasionally has meltdowns on drop off and they've been fantastic at calming him down so he enjoys his days there. When he started he was a little speech delayed and they have supported him with that, I'm surprised
at how much he is talking to other people now. He loves spending time in the garden as he is very outdoorsy. I have nothing but praise for everyone who works at the nursery! They've been amazing with my boy and he loves spending time there.
