Harpole Day Nursery is a warm and nurturing village nursery that delivers high-quality childcare in a close-knit setting. Providing care for up to 34 children per day, the nursery’s smaller size ensures that plenty of opportunities are provided for each child to grow and develop to their fullest potential.

The rooms inside are carefully designed with age-appropriate resources, offering a safe and stimulating environment for every child’s development. Babies start in their own room where they are encouraged to explore and learn about their environment. With a mixture of child-led and structured activities and the support of their Key Carer, every baby is given the best start in life.

Once slightly older, children progress to the toddlers' room, which offers a variety of learning experiences such as imaginary and sensory play. The secure garden area provides free-flow access, allowing children to enjoy plenty of outdoor activities and keep active during the day.

Pre-Schoolers engage in activities such as arts and crafts, construction and role-play. They spend time outside, planting vegetables and using the loose part props in the garden space. With the support of the team, children are prepared within every stage of learning in preparation for the transition to school. The nursery also has strong links with local primary schools to ensure the process is as smooth as possible.

The nursery offers exceptional care, enriched by unique learning opportunities for your child. One such experience is child-friendly cooking classes, helping to equip children with valuable skills and deeper knowledge of the cooking process.

  • A £100 non-refundable registration fee is required to secure a place. Exact days of attendance should be confirmed no later than 6 weeks prior to the child’s start date. Any changes are subject to availability.

Harpole has been a fantastic experience for our daughter, she has grown in confidence, her speech has come along fantastically. The staff are very friendly and helpful, always having words of encouragement for both child and parent alike. I would highly recommend Harpole to any parent. We will be very
sad to leave the nursery.

Friendly, welcoming staff help my daughter to feel safe and well looked after. Pre-prepared activities ready for them to explore. Staff get down at eye level with them and are engaging. Daily handover sheet tells me what my daughter has been doing and records what she has eaten and toileting comments.


Only

negative - tea isn't a main meal - it is a snack. Daughter still needs feeding when she comes home from nursery.

My daughter loves going to Harpole Nursery. The carers are all really enthusiastic, kind and friendly. My daughter always eats everything she is given at nursery and seems to really enjoy the food. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Harpole Day Nursery.

My daughter has attended Harpole Day Nursery for over a year now and loves it. She adores the staff and has made some lovely friends among the children. She loves to play outside and there is a lovely secret garden where she loves playing and getting dirty. It is a small nursery and the staff adore
the children and the feeling is mutual.

My son only stays at the nursery for 1 day a week, so it took him a while to settle, but the nursery took their time to ensure my son felt safe and comfortable away from home. He loves his key worker and says her name whenever we talk about nursery. After every session, we receive a progress sheet detailing
his food, naps, nappies and activities throughout the day, which is always explained to me when I pick up my son. We are really happy with the nursery and my son loves it.

Super friendly homely atmosphere. Nice small baby room.
My daughter has settled in really well and her development has increased rapidly. They cater to every baby's individual need - my little one needs help getting sleep a certain way and they will follow exactly how you do things at home.
We feel
totally at ease dropping her off knowing she will have such a great time.

Our son has been at this nursery now for about 6 months and we love it. The staff are so friendly and enthusiastic with the children. He always comes home with lots of stories about what he has been up to that day from painting, helping make dessert for tea time and playing outside in the mud garden.
We are also really impressed with the freshly cooked meals he receives and the variety of menus each week. We really cannot say enough good things about this nursery and feel safe dropping him off every day that he will be looked after so well.

My son has attended Harpole Day Nursery from April 2014 he loves it.
I have no issues with any part of the nursery. All the children seem happy and content. Staff are very friendly and they all seem to love their jobs. The children are well behaved and enjoy the various activities they do.

My son has been attending Harpole Day Nursery for nearly 1 year and is now off to school. Harpole have been fantastic for the whole of his duration there and they have always made me feel welcome and part of the team. My son loves the time he spends with them and enjoys all the food and activities
they provide. They have helped him come on leaps and bounds with reading and writing and doing practical chores for himself, his confidence has grown tremendously. I just wanted to say if your looking for a nursery you should really consider them if you want a small, friendly, family atmosphere for your child.

Harpole Day Nursery and the staff are wonderful and I'm thrilled we chose this setting for our daughter. The staff always have time to talk to us and have a genuine interest and care in their jobs and the children they look after. As a parent, leaving my daughter at nursery was a difficult decision
but Harpole are always so supportive and their communication is fantastic, making returning to work much easier. I love seeing my daughter excited to explore the Ducks room; the range of activities provided makes me confident the staff know how best to enthuse, engage and excite her to ensure her learning and development are fully supported. Most importantly, my little girl loves being there, she is very happy and the staff really care. Thank you!
