Child First Moulton Nursery is a private daycare nursery situated in a beautiful Georgian lodge within 3 acres of land and forest. The nursery is conveniently located for both local residents and commuters alike, being within 10 minutes of Northampton town centre and directly adjacent to Moulton Park Business Park.

The nursery cares for children aged 3 months to 5 years and is open 8:00 am - 6:00 pm Monday to Friday.

This homely building is hidden away from the main roads and equipped to support an extensive range of learning opportunities, while children can also explore a wonderful outdoor play area.

Children are encouraged to take risks, develop their confidence and self-esteem and explore their natural surroundings.

The Nursery offers a range of extra-curricular activities which include, yoga sessions, weekly visits with their local care home residents, forest school sessions with a fully qualified level 3 forest school practitioner, outdoor sleeping and eating experiences, access to a lending library, gardening skills with a level 2 qualified allotment and community gardener, and access to an artist in residence and art studio sessions.

The children also take part in art exhibitions within the local community.

Child First Moulton were finalists at the 2023 NMT awards for the community nursery of the year award.

My daughter has been coming here since she was 7-months-old and she loves it. Each morning she will go in with no crying and always comes out smiling.
They have an amazing outdoor space and amazing opportunities for ongoing learning.
Would definitely recommend this nursery.

We looked at many nurseries before choosing Child First Moulton Day Nursery. We knew after attending the open house that this is where we wanted our son to attend. Our decision has been further strengthened through the overall experience, interactions with the staff and most importantly the reassurance
that he's getting the best care and thriving as shown through his actions and temperament. The staff provide daily insights and are always cheerful. We're always delighted to hear about the activities and being able to display his personal creations at home.
The appreciation of having complete ease of mind that our child is in excellent care and environment can't be expressed enough.

My daughter has always been so happy and excited about going to the nursery which speaks volumes about the atmosphere that the team have created for the children.
The staff are extremely friendly and professional. My daughter looks forward to going there every day. It’s a relief to me, as a mother,
to know that when I drop her off every morning she will be well taken care of by a team who go the extra mile and genuinely care for the children's best interests.
When I looked for a preschool, nursery or childcare facility for my daughter I hoped I would find one which would support my daughter to grow and develop in a safe and secure environment. But actually what I found was a village - an entire village to offer you support and guidance; whilst nurturing and educating the children.
Art studio, woodwork, muddy puddles, yoga, vegetable patch, fruit trees, their forest with hidden dens, Aga room for cooking….you can’t beat it!

Both my 12-year-old and my 2.5-year-old attend/ed Child First Day Nursery from 11-months-old; it is a warm home from home environment, and you honestly could not ask for more for your babies. From exploring in their sixteen acres of forest land, picking bluebells and building dens, to arts and crafts
in their art studio, a cabin for ballet and yoga...it is a parent's dream for their children.
The staff team remains consistent, and their recruitment process is clearly thorough as I've not had a single issue over the years.
Both of my children have cultural and dietary requirements, which are welcomed and accommodated, their food menu is amazing!
I love Child First and highly recommend it to any parent looking for a setting that nurtures their child's wellness and imagination.

My little girl started in the cherries room a few months ago and is loving it. She has settled in well and is showing good bonds with all of the staff in her room. She happily goes into nursery every morning and always leaves with a beam on her face. I'm very happy with how she is coming along and how
confident she has become since joining.

I loved sending my daughter to this setting and she has thrived since starting after the reopening of nurseries after the first lockdown. I particularly like that they spend a lot of time outside in all weathers. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, I have never had any issues whatsoever and nothing
that I am displeased about, although I think the food menu should be simpler as some of the food I don't think is suitable for young children. Thank you so much to all the lovely staff for looking after my little one.

Great early years settings. My child has enjoyed her incredible, interesting journey in the nursery, gained confidence in the development and is ready to start school with no concerns. The nursery staff are high professionals and provides all necessary support and help adopt a new environment. Every
day in the nursery is filled with lots of different, interesting activities which develop the child's interest to learn and gain new experiences. I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone who wishes their child to enjoy every day in the nursery. Thank you very much for everything you do.

Child Firest is a lovely place to send your child. The staff are friendly and really helpful. My son learnt loads coming here. He has really come on leaps and bounds due to coming here.

My grandchild has been going to Child First Nursery for just over two years since we moved to the area, in that time we have seen her grow into a very well balanced young lady. The nursery has been fantastic, I have had no problems at all. The grounds are fabulous and she has enjoyed forest time and
I have been so surprised of how much she knows about the outside world (plants, bugs etc.).
She has also made friends there, I’m only sorry that they are soon all going to different schools. But I know that the nursery have shown her and given her the confidence to move up to big school.
I cannot fault the staff who are all lovely, they have all been fantastic and made her stay at nursery one she will always have good memories about.
I’m so glad we chose Child First Nursery Moulton and would highly recommend it.

Our two children have really enjoyed their time at Child First.
The nursery has an amazing outdoor space that the children are encouraged to explore throughout the year.
The staff are friendly and always seem to have something new for the kids to try.
We wanted an experience that helped our children
grow and support the things we did at home and the team at Child First have been first class.
I'm pleased we made the choice to send them here and it's a shame that the boys are leaving but a new adventure awaits.

I have two boys, one of which is now in school (but attended Child First Moulton) and the other still attends Child First. I can’t recommend them enough! What they have done for my boys is beyond anything I could have expected. My eldest has speech delay and the support Child First gave him boosted
his confidence so much that he wasn’t afraid to speak and now doesn’t stop!
The staff are wonderful and just incredible with the children. The smile on the children’s faces shows you just how much they enjoy being there and I know my youngest will be so sad to leave when he starts school in September. Thank you Child First for all that you have done!

I’ve had a relationship with Child First Moulton since 2017 when my son first joined at 10 months old. When visiting I got a warm, homely feeling from the nursery as well as the staff, and there was no question this was the right nursery for us (I visited around 5 others). I’ve never looked back on
that decision. My son recently started school and my daughter who is 2 is in the Willows room, and I still have the same feeling 4 years later. I’ve recommended the nursery to friends/family and they also feel the same way. The activities and what the children get to do is outstanding and I love hearing about it each day. Whenever we’ve had questions/potential concerns they are dealt with in a very prompt/professional manner. I honestly can say if we had more children, there’d be no question that we would send them to Child First and I’m very grateful for everything they have done/are doing for our children. Amazing place, amazing staff and amazing children. Thank you Child First.

Our twins started Child First Moulton a few months before they turned 1 in 2018. They have followed all stages until the last stage of age 4 here. My son has a nut allergy and is very sensitive to new foods; also he has eczema and asthma. The nursery staff have been absolutely fantastic with my son's
medical needs and extremely observant with my son and showed the love, care and attention he required. We, as parents, got all the reassurance we needed.
I cannot recommend this nursery enough! They always have fun things planned with the children, this could be yoga, mud kitchen, forestry, creative arts and so much more. The best thing is they follow the child's lead. They have all activities on, children choose what they want to do and nursery staff encourage and support them.
The staff listen to any observations or concerns you have and they do something about it and make the change if it's something they can do.
Thank you Child First for the best start to my twins' early years of life.

Wood on-site excellent for forest school - my son talks about making hot chocolate and the tree house a lot.
The art man has made a real impact on my son's interest in arts and crafts.
My son's ability to recite the alphabet and count to 20 while matching numbers has given him an excellent start
to his primary education.
All staff make excellent efforts to connect with the children they care for and seem to do this really well ensuring the child is fully engaged all the time.

My daughter started nursery in September aged 17 months old. The first few weeks I was worried how she would settle but I had no reason to worry as all the staff at Child First Moulton have been fab at making sure she settled. Her speech has come on loads in the last month and she seems so confident.
I'm very impressed with the nursery and glad I chose Child First.

We moved to Northampton from Surrey and our daughter was shy in her old Surrey-based nursery, after we moved and chose Child First she developed and changed so much. She absolutely loved going to nursery and we loved how much she has changed and come out of her shell. In her old nursery, she wouldn't
tell the staff when she needed to pee, a couple of days into Child First and she is a different little girl. I will highly recommend Child First Northampton and when our newest is old enough he will also be going here.

We searched long and hard for a suitable nursery for my daughter. In fact, Child First Moulton was the sixth nursery we visited, after being unwilling to try any others! From the beginning, we were struck with the lovely forest setting and the huge amount of space for the children to explore in nature.
Even more importantly, the staff are engaged, caring and motivated, making it an instantly friendly atmosphere for each child. Staff and management communicate well with parents on a daily basis, which is refreshing and reassuring. The staff are diverse (very important to us) and committed to the children's wellbeing, happiness and learning through play. Healthy food and nutrition are a big focus - the children are well catered for in that respect. Cannot recommend highly enough, it's a lovely place - my daughter attended for four years and has just gone off to school, we will miss Child First nursery!

I cannot recommend Child First Moulton enough! My daughter has attended since she was one and leaves this month to start school. Due to her nursery/pre-school days she is more than ready, but I am so sad to end this part of the story! We will all miss Child First very much!
