Situated in the heart of the village of the same name, Radcliffe-on-Trent Day Nursery and Preschool is proud to be rated Outstanding by Ofsted (October 2023).

The warm, experienced team engage children’s natural curiosity through a variety of meaningful learning experiences and stimulating activities. Forest school sessions take place at the nearby Ruddington Day Nursery which allows children to spend valuable time outside in nature, working together to develop positive knowledge and important life skills.

The nursery maintains strong relationships within the local community of Radcliffe-on-Trent, taking part in events and enjoying regular outings.

Great nursery, our daughter really enjoys it, she has come on so much joining and is always happy to go in. The staff are really friendly and engaging and you can tell that she's well looked after. We really like this nursery.

This nursery is amazing - all the staff are attentive and work with us to meet the needs of our children. The kids are making good friends here too. The staff are always keen to tell us what the kids have done in the day.

Our little boy has been attending Radcliffe-on-Trent Day Nursery for around 18 months now and he thoroughly enjoys his time there. Each target he's been set has been built upon and it is evident that he's being guided and taught the skills to achieve these, rather than him just meeting them in a developmental
manner. He has good relationships with staff and children alike - even ones not in his room, which gives it a lovely family feel. He enjoys a wide range of food (much of which he wouldn't even consider touching at home!). We're beyond happy with our experience and the staff - we couldn't be more thankful for our little boy being loved by those caring for him throughout the day.

My daughter is always full of smiles and chatter when I pick her up from nursery. The food and activities are varied, and all the staff are very engaging and friendly. Couldn’t fault the nursery if I tried!

Preschool have played a key role in my daughter’s potty training success! In particular, the staff have supported her in wanting to wear pants and use the toilet. We faced resistance and ultimately gave up at home but the perseverance and enthusiasm pre-school and nursery have given to her has paid
off and now she’s loving her pants and using the toilet. The tips and advice they have provided along the way have been invaluable.

My children absolutely love this nursery! They have all learnt so much and used to get up every morning and ask if it was time to go to nursery. All the staff are amazing and always go above and beyond, always very supportive towards both children and parents, always happy to answer any questions. At
pick up time it was nice to see all the different activities they were doing and there was always a wide range.

Love this nursery! My daughter has settled in really well since starting here in December when she was only thirteen months old. Such a worry for a parent to leave their child after spending every minute with them up until that point, so it is really reassuring to know that she is being cared for in
the best way possible while I am at work. Nursery has also helped in reducing dummy usage, which is also fabulous, and my daughters food intake has also increased. The nursery is also very clued up with regards to allergies as my daughter has several!

There are always some entertaining events that keep little ones busy - celebrations of various religious events, such as Christmas or Eid al-Fitr, introducing different traditions and are incorporated in fun ways, including arts and crafts (age appropriate of course). There are book weeks where kids
are encouraged to dress up and parents are invited to read out loud books in different languages, various themed kids activities. My little girl is having so much fun! The level of creativity that goes into everything that staff are doing to develop various skills through play is truly astonishing! Special thanks for the amount of messy play that is going on - I would never dare to do anything like that at home but I can see the benefits of these activities daily.
I was seeking advice several times regarding areas of development (independent feeding, potty training, etc.) and was provided not only with advice but with supporting materials sent to me (instructions, games to incorporate at home etc.).

Our child has thrived during his time at the nursery; it really is his second home and like a big family. The staff are warm, loving and have supported each step of his development. They have a strong understanding of how to help the children learn through a wide range of experiences and our child is

I cannot recommend Radcliffe-on-Trent Day Nursery enough!
The staff are all so welcoming and caring towards the children. My daughter loves going and running in!
The team create really fun and interactive areas for the kids to explore and learn. The outdoor space is big and has lots of interesting
areas to explore. 10/10!

We have used Radcliffe-on-Trent Day Nursery for both of our children and have been very pleased with the experience. The children enjoy attending and come home full of stories about their day at nursery, the friends they have played with, and the things they have learnt. The staff are helpful and informative
and have great relationships with all the children. I would happily recommend the nursery to anyone.

Radcliffe-on-Trent Day Nursery has provided the perfect nurturing environment for both of my eldest children, from nine months through to three years. The staff are excellent, build strong relationships with the children and encourage them to meet developmental milestones. The use of the app to show
us pictures of them at nursery and keep us up to date with their progress is really good. The kids love all the different activities that they wouldn’t experience elsewhere and we couldn’t be happier with our experience as a family.

My daughter is very happy at Radcliffe-on-Trent Day Nursery. She skips into nursery each day and when she went through a clingy phase, one staff member instantly solved tears at drop off by encouraging her to help with a simple activity. She comes home in a great mood, full of stories about her day
and what they've been doing. Lots of outdoor time, which is great! The staff are so supportive; happy to answer any questions about her day and give advice when requested!

We have been so happy with the excellent care the staff at Radcliffe provides our children with. The staff are kind, approachable and communication between the nursery and home is excellent. We always feel well informed about what is happening and how our children are progressing.

After having my 3rd child, I returned to the nursery after 3 years (where my older children attended). I was very nervous about leaving my baby boy and was pleased to see some familiar faces as well as some new faces! The staff in the baby room have been great and the transition to the next room also.
I also cannot fault the managing staff and overall it’s a lovely setting with great staff and facilities.

Really good nursery and the staff are lovely and go above and beyond for your child. My son never settled in any nursery until I put him into this one. Three years later, he is so comfortable with this nursery; I really don’t want him to go to school.

My daughter has special educational needs and the nursery have been absolutely incredible with their support and care of her. They have been like family to us. They are always responsive, communicative and helpful with her specific needs. The staff always go above and beyond their basic responsibilities
to ensure my daughter is supported and encouraged in her nursery education. I would recommend this nursery to anyone who wants a family-centred environment for their child.

Staff are great and both my children have loved nursery. It could do with some investments in the garden/outdoor space, and we are pleased to hear forestry school will return this year. Overall very pleased we chose this nursery.
