The Secret Garden provides high-quality childcare within a warm, friendly 'home from home' setting.

They have a team of dedicated and enthusiastic staff who tailor every activity to the development of each individual child. This ensures the development of every child to their full potential through fun and stimulating play, making confident, happy children.

The children progress through the West Bridgford nursery from the Ladybirds room (babies), Butterflies room (toddlers), Dragonflies, Honeybees and Bumblebees (pre-school).

A private garden to the rear with a dedicated area for the babies means that the children are outdoors enjoying nature and physical activities on a daily basis and a free flow system means that at certain times, children can choose to play indoors or outdoors.

Each child has a key person in each room, enabling the staff to form a strong bond with every child and to get to know them extremely well.

Secret Garden Childcare is a small, family-run business with a focus on nature and the environment. They focus on using natural materials and accessing the outdoor environment to maximise learning opportunities.

Extra-curricular activities include French lessons and forest school for the pre-school children, regular walks to the local park, shops and feeding the ducks, taking full advantage of local opportunities for learning about the world.

No learning opportunity is lost; even a rainy day can make for a fun learning activity, kitted out with wellies, brollies and waterproofs!

My son started at The Secret Garden in 2019 and his little sister is also there now and what a great experience it has been. The staff have been so professional, welcoming and friendly and both my children have thrived, no doubt having been given a wonderful start in life. I would recommend this place
for sure!

Wonderful nursery. Caring staff and great communication with parents and my daughter loves it there. Children's current interests guide focus/learning. Meal plans are well thought out and I love that independence is encouraged at meal times.

The staff at The Secret Garden Private Day Nursery are absolutely wonderful! My daughter has been going for two years now, initially very shy and unsure owing to the lack of social interaction during the pandemic, but she has absolutely come on leaps and bounds during her time there.
She is a happy
and confident child, with excellent speech and manners all confounded by her time with the staff. I definitely recommend The Secret Garden to other parents!

My daughter has been at The Secret Garden Private Day Nursery for the last five months and she is really enjoying her time at nursery. The staff are lovely and friendly. Fantastic nursery. The staff are all lovely. My child is well taken care of and has an amazing time when there. She plays with the children and staff and eats better than she does at home! We are definitely sending our second here. The staff communicate well and are happy to talk to you any time if

The Secret Garden staff are lovely. The office staff are helpful and accommodating and nothing is too much trouble. The staff that look after my son are brilliant. They've taken the time to get to know him so well and they've really helped him to settle there. They recognise development areas and discuss
first to gain agreement and allow you to have input. Since my son has been here his social skills have improved, he's come along in potty training and more importantly, he enjoys going and is very happy.

This was the first potential nursery we visited, once we had received the guided tour my partner and I decided straight away that we were more than happy for our daughter to attend here. We cancelled our other planned visits to other nurseries!!. The staff are always very welcoming and happy. Our daughter
loves to attend and take part in the varied and different activities she gets to experience each day.

After visiting several in our area, we knew that The Secret Garden was the nursery for us. From day one, the staff have been attentive and built a real bond with our son.
There is a wide range of activities which take place including forest school, tennis and French.
Our son really enjoys his days
at nursery and his confidence, numeracy and literacy have improved significantly since starting.

Fantastic nursery.
Second child attending as standard of care was so good for first child who attended from age 1 year to starting school.
Never had any issues or concerns with the nursery.
Particularly have done an excellent job when child has been a bit unwell in terms of informing us and keeping
the child at nursery until one of us could get out of work.
Forest school is a particular favourite of our youngest little one.
