We are so happy our daughter is at Scotts Wood! The baby room is lovely, full of natural things to explore. The homemade menus look delicious and we often would like to stay there just to eat with them. Our baby actually became a big eater since she started there. Most of all, the staff is simply amazing!
Both babies and parents are looked after at drop off and pick-up, which is very important for those like us who don't have family around. They offer a progressive settling-in process, and take time to exchange about your child everytime you meet them. They absolutely respect your child's needs in every area, e.g. make them sleep in the conditions they are used to. In addition to their great care, they find time to regularly update an online learning journey with pictures, explanations about the activities your child discovered and the competencies they developed. Our baby made so much impressive progress since she started nursery there! THANK YOU SCOTTS WOOD! :-)

Scotts Wood is exceptional. My daughters are so happy when I drop them off in the morning which makes me happy too. They come home having had fun all day. The staff make you feel really comfortable and confident and are very supportive. We feel that our decision to move our daughters from a different
nursery was a really good one and will really benefit our daughters.

Our two girls started at Scotts Wood in the Summer and the staff have all been so welcoming and really helped them to settle in and feel at home. There's a really caring atmosphere and a lot of time taken to understand what the children are interested in and what they need to develop. It's been lovely
to see them both so happy.

A fantastic nursery. My son settled in really well and I feel confident and assured that he is well looked after while I am at work. He has come on in so many ways since starting at Scotts Wood as staff work to the individual needs of the student to ensure they are developing and progressing during
their time there.

Our Daughter has been welcomed with open arms and she absolutely loves it at Scotts Wood. In the short space of time, she has been attending she has grown and developed in many ways. So lovely to see her flourish into the toddler she is becoming. Her confidence shines and she developed a great personality.
The staff are brilliant, so friendly and put the care of the children first.

Scotts Wood day nursery is the first childcare our son has been to and he started not long before his 2nd birthday. As he was a bit late starting he was unsure of his new routine and wasn’t particularly happy for some time but with the patience encouragement and understanding of the staff he settled
down nicely and looks forward to his sessions. He comes home tired and happy and always has lots to tell us about all the exciting things he’s done.
The staff are lovely approachable and always smiling. We are glad we chose Scotts Wood day nursery as the start of our son's journey into pre-schooling, he’s coming on in leaps and bounds.
It was also lovely at the Xmas fete to see everyone out of the nursery and in a different environment, our son really enjoyed himself.

Scotts Wood is a truly fantastic nursery and I am so pleased that we chose it for our son. He’s been going for about 10 months now since he was a baby, and he loves it. The staff gave him such amazing care and attention when he first started to help him settle in. They were so thoughtful and considerate
and nursery now feels like an extended part of our family. Our son does so many great activities at nursery and is so excited to arrive every morning.
It’s tricky choosing a nursery, there are so many things to consider, but I can honestly say (based on other nurseries my older son attended, and the nurseries my friends' kids go to) that I think Scotts Wood is one of the best, if not the best in West Bridgford.

We love Scotts Wood, our little boy has attended since he was 10 months old. Not only do I attribute some of his development to the nursery, I also feel he is happier as a result of attending. The staff are excellent and seem to genuinely care about the children, their development and well-being. He
takes part in far more activities than he would if he were a stay at home baby! Not sure I'd be brave enough to get the paints etc out as the nursery are! It's lovely to see how happy he is when we drop and collect him each day. I think his eating in terms of variety of foods eaten and also his use of fork and spoon etc and a beaker rather than a bottle are all down to the encouragement of the nursery - we didn't do baby-led weaning before nursery and so other than eating some things with his fingers the majority was spoon fed to him - this is a complete turnaround since starting at Scotts Wood. I would and have recommended the nursery to friends with babies.

Our son has been going to Scotts Wood Day nursery for the past 4 months. We can say without hesitation that the nursery is absolutely fantastic, and the staff are wonderful. They are extremely caring and professional, and our son could not be happier there. We have the utmost confidence in their abilities
to take care of our little boy to the highest standards of childcare. We would happily recommend the nursery to any of our friends or family.

We love this nursery. The staff are very friendly and approachable. They always make us feel welcome and involved in our child's development. My son has quite a serious allergy and we have every confidence that he is safe and in the best hands at the nursery. They have adapted things to meet his needs.

Our little boy has attended Scotts Wood from 10 months until now (3 years 2 months). The hardworking and motivated staff have made his experience both happy and enjoyable. As a parent, I have always known that he was safe, well cared for and loved whilst there. His language and communication has always
been excellent, something which Scotts Wood has nurtured and celebrated. I always felt that our little man was made to feel really special by all adults.

Our third child is currently being cared for at Scotts Wood Day Nursery, as with our previous two children, my husband and I are always very pleased with the obviously very strong care and attention our daughter receives. As with our two older children, our child is being cared for extremely well and
every core aspect of her personal development is being well supported by the always lovely Scotts Wood Staff. My husband and I would and have always highly recommended Scotts Wood Day Nursery to other prospective parents/carers. It is an excellent day nursery.

A well-managed nursery and very professional staff. Our little one started in the baby room where the transition was made very easy and he quickly developed a strong bond with staff.

Scotts Wood is a very friendly nursery providing a clean and homely environment for our son who is very happy here. It's lovely to see him with a smile on his face when we pick him up which is very reassuring and means we don't worry while at work. My son's skills have developed so much since joining
Scotts Wood. The staff always let us know how his day has been and what he's been up to.
The food is excellent, all freshly cooked and the menu has lots of variety. My son enjoys the food so much that he regularly has two dinners.
The continuity of care is excellent and the staff are enthusiastic and very caring. They have been wonderful when my son has been poorly and nothing seems to phase them. I'm so pleased we chose Scotts Wood.

We have been using Scotts Wood for over 4 years and would highly recommend the nursery. It's extremely family friendly with a caring atmosphere with staff who work hard to really get to know the children they care for. Both my children have really enjoyed attending Scotts Wood which is all you could

After visiting several nurseries to assess the ability to look after our 2-year-old son (with health complications), Scotts Wood was chosen for their professional approach, friendliness of the staff and a clean and safe environment.
Since attending Scotts Wood, his social development has grown to the
extent of being happy to attend each day and thriving in all aspects of his needs.
The staff involved in our son's care, have been willing to train in additional areas to suit our son's medical needs, over and above what we would have expected.
Our son has a number of medications required at certain times throughout the day, which are given on time and signed for, and a report is also given each day of his activities and progress.
Our son is clearly happy attending the nursery and its a pleasure to see, as parents, we are extremely impressed and comforted by the knowledge our son is in safe loving hands while we attend to our jobs.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I have worked at Scott’s Wood since 2001 and am very proud to be the Manager of such a beautiful and high quality ‘Early Years’ setting. I am committed to further improving our already very high standards, and creating an exceptional ‘Early Years’ experience for babies and young children here in the leafy suburbs of West Bridgford.


Early years has always been my passion and while working here at Scott’s Wood I have completed both a Foundation Degree in Early Years and Education, and BA Honours Degree in Early Childhood Studies and I use my extended knowledge and understanding daily to ensure that we provide the very best environments and experiences for both our children and their parents.
