Kindred West Bridgford provides a friendly, home from home environment supported by warm, caring and qualified mature staff that have extensive childcare experience.

The nursery has a lovely, natural half-acre garden that is used all year round. There is a grassed area, logs to climb on, stepping stones, a climbing wall, a large bark area and even a dirt area to make muddy pools and the most fantastic wigwam to play in!

The garden is open for the children to enjoy every day, and regular activities include planting and forest school activities including den building and bug hunting.

There are also regular Forest School workshops for the children all year round. As well as Forest Schools, other specialist practitioners come into the nursery each week to provide French, Music and Movement and Yoga classes.

There is also a fully working ‘child size’ kitchen where children learn to weigh, measure, prepare and cook food. The nursery is happy to accept all nursery vouchers and offer Nursery Grant places. All meals are prepared and cooked on the premises.

Both myself and my wife love the staff at the nursery, how they interact with us and how they interact with our daughter. Our daughter is 16 months old and really enjoys going here. She has really bonded with the staff and enjoys a variety of activities. The selling point for us choosing this is the
outside space. Even at this age, they take them outside, which we love. I’d really recommend this nursery to anyone, especially those keen on getting their children outside.

Awesome, would be the first word I would use.
All three of my children have come through this nursery and my oldest two still talk friendly of their time there. The staff here are brilliant, very supportive and provide a loving and caring environment - for the parents as well as the children.

It's been a pleasure to have our daughter at Alphabet House Day Nursery. The staff are attentive and caring and take all personalities into consideration. The manager is personable and very approachable and takes an interest in every child. Lastly, the outdoor play area and extracurricular activities
make this place stand out from the rest!
The only criticism we have is that staff can be more welcoming on arrival. Our daughter, for example, is very sensitive and would have benefitted from being greeted personally rather than being expected to be thrown in with the rest.

Our son has had such a wonderful foundation in Alphabet House. Over the past four years, the staff have been extraordinary. He has absolutely flourished, the activities are exciting, well-organised and educational. The French, dance and forestry sessions are such a wonderful supplement to an already
brilliant stimulating day. I have always felt that he feels safe and loved and the staff are fantastic in feeding back to parents. Thank you to Alphabet House our little boy is becoming a confident and independent school by and we could not be more grateful.

We were made to feel really welcome in the pre-school room and offered a tour immediately, even though we had been at the nursery since the baby room. The food prepared is amazing, the range of activities varied, particularly in pre-school. The ethos of having children outside as much as possible is

My son has attended Alphabet House Day Nursery in West Bridgford for one and a half years. He has always enjoyed going, especially on the days he has taken part in yoga, dance, forest school, french, outdoor play and messy activities. The food always sounds amazing, it smells great when I come around
at meal times. The staff have always been friendly and easy to talk to. The online learning journey makes seeing my sons progress easy and I like that I can add to it too.

Hi I'm Kelly. I decided to begin my career in childcare after helping out as a parent at my son’s nursery and saw the rewards of working with children.


I now have over 20 year’s experience, as well as a Level 5 qualification in Leadership and Management and qualifications covering first aid, food hygiene and child protection.


Most importantly, I have a passion for helping children develop and having worked my way up from a nursery practitioner, I now manage a thriving nursery with happy children and caring staff.

Hello, my name is Rachel. I have worked in childcare since leaving college over 20 years ago. It's something I have always wanted to do, and I enjoy every minute.

I enjoy helping our children learn new things and developing new skills that they will need later in life. Seeing them achieve these milestones is always so rewarding.
