Ofsted rated 'Outstanding' Paper Moon Day Nursery (November 2022) is a purpose built nursery with a bright and modern interior that enables children to learn in a caring environment. All early years practitioners are highly-trained and committed to quality care and education, assisted by an outdoor play area, meals freshly prepared on site and a bio-metric security system.

Key EYFS objectives are adopted, as the team look to help set the building blocks for life. There is a focus on getting to know each individual, made possible by a key worker system that allows the team to respond to any specific needs and keeps parents up-to-date with progress.

My daughter attended Paper Moon (Faraday Road) for November and December 2018 between the ages of 11-13 months old and she settled in after her first two days, and ever since was generally a very happy chicken most days I collected her. Even though it’s relatively small, there is a lot of stimuli for
children to investigate and play with. With the assistance of staff, she even managed to make a 2019 calendar, Christmas tree decorations, Christmas card for Mum and Dad, a picture of what looks like a melted snowman . . .
All staff are welcoming, professional, pleasant, caring and contented to change nappies as often as required to keep on top of nappy rash, but a special thanks to my daughter’s primary carer and to the manager who runs the place well.
We moved to the other side of Nottingham in December, which is a real shame in one sense as Paper Moon is too far away now.

In the two months since my child has started at Paper Moon, I have been amazed at the progress that my child has achieved in all areas of their development.


All of the staff are approachable and extremely caring.


I could not be happier with the nursery and the overall standard of care that my

child receives at Paper Moon Day Nursery.

Excellent day nursery. My son has really grown in confidence in a short period of time and he is very happy to go. They encourage him to be independent and the staff are very nurturing and clearly in tune with the needs of the children. The days are filled with lots of activities and there is always
a friendly, comprehensive feedback.

My son has been going to this nursery for over 2 years now. This is a relatively small nursery and I think the care is good. The staff are welcoming and I am satisfied with the learning my child has. They also provide online updates for the activities, which is helpful. The staff takes great care of
the child when he is upset. My son enjoys his time at the nursery, which itself a positive review.

A great manager who is keen to improve child experiences and eating choices.
Was really helpful with our child's vegan meals and snacks.
All the staff are friendly and welcoming.
Especially helpful during potty training and during a child illness.

I have always been pleased with the care my child has received at Paper Moon, however, under new management, the nursery has made significant further improvements. Every day there are now purposeful activities set up for children to explore, and when I have been in to collect my child, there is a sense
of calm and that children are happy and engaged in learning. The whole nursery has been freshened up since the new manager started, and it is now an even more stimulating and inviting environment. I am delighted with the caregivers who look after and educate my daughter. They have made a significant effort to get to know her personally and when we speak to them, it is clear that they have a plan for her learning and that they value her achievements. My daughter adores her grown-ups. It is clear that the fresh input of the new manager has encouraged a major step forward. We will be sending our second child with no hesitation and we give the team the highest recommendation.

I am pleased with the progress my children have made in the nursery. They both are full of confidence and have a wonderful time. My children are happy and enjoy the wide range of educational activities. The staff are caring but at the same time, I would like to have more parent's evenings to discuss
my children's development. The management team should ensure effective communication with parents. I also think preschoolers should be pushed to do more challenging learning activities.

I am happy to read from your review that your child is enjoying nursery and it is important we share with you how during the day the children are challenged to reach their developmental next steps. Our online Tapestry learning journals are useful in sharing children's progress however, we will review the regularity of our parents evenings. However, it is important to say that we are happy to discuss your child's development with you at any time as often waiting for a parents evening is not ideal.

I was worried my 10-month-old son would find it hard to settle so young, as well as only attending 2 days a week, but the staff at the nursery are so friendly and lovely, he settled instantly. They really listened to us at 'settling in' visits and helped put our mind at rest. My son has now been attending
the nursery for over a month and loves it! He smiles at all the staff when we arrive which shows he's happy and settled. Keeping up to date on tapestry is fantastic - it goes straight to your phone so you can see photos and observations, which are lovely to receive during the day. Having a key person is fantastic but equally, you get a real sense of 'team' in the nursery and I know my son would happily play alongside all of them. Overall I couldn't be happier and I'm so grateful I found this fantastic nursery to help nurture, and guide my son, as his inquisitive mind grows! Thank you!

Paper Moon is an outstanding nursery, the staff always ensure my daughter is settled.
My daughter has come on massively since starting Paper Moon, they helped her become independent on the toilet, it took around 5 weeks for her to be a pro at it. She has strong bonds with the staff and will happily
run off to explore. She is always coming home with craft things she's created and always has something nice to tell me about her day.
I really enjoy looking at what she has been up to on her daily tapestry updates and this assures me that she is always learning and progressing. Her next steps are always clear to see in the toddler room and staff are always informing me of them so I can encourage her at home too.
I really enjoy seeing my daughter's and other children's artwork on the walls, the staff are always proudly showing me the children's work on displays.
The staff are great and welcome you with a warm smile and welcoming hugs for the children. I cannot recommend this place enough.

I am very pleased with the nursery that my daughter was attending for half of a year after we had moved to the area. She is especially very happy with the activities they provide, like yoga or French and as she is a good eater, she enjoyed all the cooked meals. The ladies are friendly, caring and joyful.
Children spend a lot of time outdoors and the nursery has a big backyard with lots of outdoor toys. I wish there were more adult guided crafts, where children can produce some curtain craft objects, rather than doing whatever they want with all the craft supplies (carefully supervised though). Overall our experience is very positive, my daughter started crying and not wanting to attend and ended up running happily to the nursery with a big smile on her face.

This nursery is totally great my daughter went there as a baby and is still there now and my son goes there to. The staff are great my daughter absolutely loves it here, I would recommend this nursery 1million percent staff are amazing and they have many different things for the children to take part
in aswell, it is an absolutely amazing nursery

As a parent, I am so pleased with the manner in which Paper Moon Nursery is run. I have found their team to be committed to their roles as nursery practitioners. M son is able to take part in a wide range of activities which have aided his early year's development. I have found the staff to be extremely
