The Cottage Nursery is a bright, vibrant and exciting setting with highly qualified, professional and dedicated staff. Carers are passionate about high quality childcare and outstanding early education which is delivered daily in a creative and stimulating way across all ages. All rooms are exceptionally well resourced to enable all seven areas of the EYFS to be delivered, and they have all recently been refurbished to make a modern, calm and welcoming environment. The team offer extra-curricular activities in all groups to enrich the children's experience such as Baby Sign, Music & Drama Club and French Club. There are also Gym and Dance Clubs which are led by fantastic external professionals. The nursery directly feeds into an 'Outstanding' ISI rated Preparatory School and the older children benefit from this through exciting trips, sports days and productions. Every child and their family are highly valued and made to feel welcome from their very first visit.

My daughter started at the nursery in September 2021 and has now moved up to the Prep 1 Junior Class. When she started we explained to the nursery that we were waiting for assistance in relation to her speech and was there anything they could do to help as well. I can say they have been going above
and beyond for her giving her a special work plan of her own and also contacting the local authority to try and help move along the external help. All of the staff from the management to the people in the rooms are brilliant. They are efficient and respond to enquiries really quickly nothing is too much trouble. My daughter has come on so much since she started and I love the regular parents' app updates to see how much fun she is having.

Lovely nursery. The staff are so friendly, especially in the baby room. They went out of their way to settle my second baby and were really reassuring. Both my children have settled really well there, and my eldest still knows everyone a year on from leaving. Fabulous photo updates on the parents' app
and a nursery camera so you don’t miss your babies too much in those early days. Loads of classes like Tiny Talk, Jo Jingles, Lingo Tots, which for lockdown children gives them exposure to classes they may not have had as a baby. Nothing like this in any other local nursery. We drive an extra 30 minutes just because we love the nursery so much. Lots of investment into the building recently, and a lovely mindfulness room has been installed. They try their best to cater for allergy babies. A bit more could be done to make the food for the allergy babies the same as the non-allergy babies, but other than that, I couldn’t fault them! Excellent nursery all round.

Our son has been at the Cottage since he was 1. He's really well settled and loves his nursery family - really lovely staff with lots of varieties of activities each day. He's made friends for life and we will be so sad to say goodbye when he heads off to school soon. It can be really hard to leave
them at first and staff recognised this and used to send updates in the morning to let me know he had settled, which meant a lot when initial drop offs were tearful. He now runs in happily!

Couldn’t be happier with the Nursery. The attention that our daughter gets and her progress is unbelievable. She was inseparable from Mum, but now can’t wait to go to Nursery, pointing to the door to leave, arms out for the teacher on drop-off. Would recommend it to anyone.

I had a pleasant experience when enrolling my son at this nursery. The staff were interested in my son's needs and were very accommodating and flexible. The quality of care he has received since he enrolled, has been excellent and I am very pleased.

My son has been attending this nursery since me and his mum returned to work and has loved every minute. He absolutely adores his key person and we are always kept updated on his progress as well as regular online picture observations. My son has come on so well since nursery and I know he has a fun
day every day. My son is delayed in his walking and the staff have worked so hard getting him moving. I cannot thank the staff and management team at the Cottage nursery enough.

My son has been at The Cottage from 8 months old and attends 4 days a week. I don't have a bad word to say about this place. We looked at other nurseries but from walking through the door, we decided this was the place for us. The staff are amazing, the amount of attention given to the children is second
to none. Nothing is too much trouble and the communication/updates are great! It makes us happy seeing his smiley face at the end of his day!

My child has attended the nursery now for just over a year and I can honestly say it was the best decision I made sending her to The Cottage! From the moment we had our initial look round we felt so welcome and part of a family. The nursery is managed extremely well and the level of communication is
outstanding. The staff are warm, friendly and caring and know my child inside out, nothing is ever too much trouble. The nursery offers so much from Music and French lessons to Gym and Dance sessions. We love that the nursery has pets as being busy working parents we don’t have pets of our own so it’s great that she gets to learn how to look after and care for the animals. The new addition of the Mindfulness room and roof garden is fantastic and such a lovely space for all the children to enjoy. I cannot recommend this nursery enough.

Being a first-time mum and returning back to work is very hard. My first visit to the nursery made me feel so comfortable and put my mind at ease. I know when I drop off my child in the morning that they are well looked after. All the staff go the extra mile to accommodate our needs. My child has come
on a long way since they have started. Every single member of staff are so welcoming and they really create bonds with your child.

Both our children have attended the nursery and I can honestly say the experience with both children is second to none. We absolutely love The Cottage Nursery! Our two boys have attended since they were 7 months old and are about to turn two. Over this time, they have been stretched and challenged with both their social skills as well as their Early Years education to become well rounded little toddlers, ready to embark
on their next learning adventures. They’ve thrived in a supportive environment where the staff have nurtured their interests. With a broad range curriculum, they have enjoyed learning languages, music, plenty of messy and imaginative play, playing with the rabbits, and outdoor play. The updates about their learning experiences and wellbeing on the parents' app have made parenting through a pandemic much easier, even more so, as we were new parents. Our next little boy is due to start later this year and I couldn’t be more reassured about the supportive and nurturing environment he will be joining. It’s more than a nursery - it’s an extended family. I’d recommend the nursery unreservedly.

When selecting a nursery we visited every nursery in the area. From the moment we walked into The Cottage Nursery, we knew this was the right place for our daughter to attend. Everyone was so welcoming and they seemed to be very focused on not only education but each child as an individual and their
personal development. My daughter has now been attending the nursery for the past two months, and she adores all of her teachers. It took her two weeks to transition, as she was just used to spending every day with me. During the two weeks, the teachers were so patient and really catered to her emotions, ensuring she knew she was in a safe loving environment. Since week 3, she gets so excited when we pull up to the nursery and dives into the arms of the teacher at the door. She leaves every day with a giant smile and bags of excitement, showing us her sheet which records the best moment of her day.

The Cottage has a much more warm and friendly feel than the other nurseries we looked around. We are so pleased we chose for our son to go there. He’s come on leaps and bounds since attending. The staff have been supportive throughout all stages of his development (including potty training) and during
personal problems, we’ve faced. Our son is very happy there and even asks to go at weekends! I feel they’ve handled the covid restrictions admirably. Get your name down early as places come up rarely!

My child has attended this nursery for just over a year now and he has come along so well within that time. He has become more confident and fluent with his speaking, has made friends and is always very happy when I see him in the nursery. The food they serve the children is something I pride them on
as it's a well-balanced diet but also adventurous. The educational side to this nursery is brilliant and I cannot recommend them enough for their hard work, care and devotion to the children and the nursery. They truly care about what they do. Highly recommend.

Like many parents choosing the right setting to look after your child is a very emotive process. I looked round many nurseries and child minders but from the very first visit to The Cottage I had a feeling this was where I wanted my daughter to be.
7 years ago I made one of the best child care decisions
and now my 3rd daughter is enjoying the Cottage as much as her big sisters.
After moving up rooms at the beginning of September I cannot believe how much progress my daughter has made!
In three short weeks she is nearly potty trained and her speech and understanding has developed tremendously!
The staff are all amazing and it is credit to the management team that staff are loyal to the nursery and has been nice to see staff progress in their careers over the years!

Our daughter has attended The Cottage Nursery for the past 2 years and how excited she is to go every day is a testament to the nursery. She absolutely loves it and has made some great friends too! The nursery is very focused on education, one of the main reasons we chose The Cottage Nursery, but in
a way the children find fun and accessible. All of the staff we have come into contact with have been wonderful, they really take the time to make connections with the children and get to know them completely. I would really recommend this nursery.

Like most parents I was very nervous for my son to start nursery but I needn’t have been so worried as these wonderful ladies couldn’t have been more welcoming! He settled in so quickly and has come on so much in such a short time, I can’t thank them all enough. My little monkey absolutely loves coming
in now and I am completely at ease knowing he is happy and well taken care of. Their communication with me is great and I love all the updates on my boy's progress. Couldn’t recommend The Cottage Nursery enough, thank you!

Born into a pandemic, our firstborn has been isolated for most of her life, and we hadn't left her with any family at any point. This was her first time without either of us by her side! She started at 11-months, and her dad and I were so nervous about her settling, that food allergies and skin sensitivity
meant she couldn't join in with the activities and play with other babies... It turned out we had nothing to be concerned about! She doesn't miss out at all, in fact, they adapt the activities or the meals for her. The staff don't hesitate to reply to emails. I called so many times in her first weeks, every time the phone was kindly answered and I received honest updates. They chased up GP scripts for creams and medication and ensured all of the staff in the room were aware of our daughters' needs. The staff are so kind to my daughter; she seems so happy and comfortable with all the workers, even blowing kisses - and she now eats so much better too! Thank you.

My son has been at this nursery since he was 11-months, seeing how he has developed and grown emotionally, socially and with his learning is amazing. His language skills are brilliant, he's doing amazing at maths activities and numbers, and he's already recognising words in books and spelling his name.
His
confidence and ability to mix well with other children has been lovely to see, and he's learnt so much about behaviour and how to listen well and be polite.
The staff have all been fantastic, and he has developed some strong bonds with a number of them, they really understand him, what makes him happy and sad, and they really know how to engage him in activities and get the best from him.
He's so happy being at The Cottage, and I am so thankful for all they have done and continue to do to help my little boy get to where he is today.

My nephew has attended this nursery since June last year. He has learnt so much, and his personality has grown since starting at The Cottage. His speech is amazing for his age, and he learns new words every day. He has also just taken a real interest in numbers and has started counting, which I think
is great. The staff at the nursery are all so lovely, and he has built up such a great bond with them all. My second nephew has just been doing his visits for the past two weeks and has already started settling into the new routine of nursery life. I'm sure he will love it just as much.
