Partou Little Acorns Day Nursery & Pre-school provides high-quality childcare for children from birth to five-years-old. The nursery has been caring for children in Atherton since 1987.

The nursery is set in a lovely Victorian property with a natural outdoor play area, where children can play outdoors every day and even learn swimming and French.

The long-serving Little Acorns team are highly qualified and have first aid and safeguarding training so families know that their children are in caring, capable hands.

Staff at Little Acorns have have undergone enhanced DBS checks and the nursery has CCTV and secure door entry systems for added security.

The chef at Little Acorns prepares all of the nursery’s healthy meals and snacks in the nursery kitchen using quality ingredients. The nursery’s seasonal menu can be altered to meet any special dietary requirements.

My son started at Little Acorns in September 2018 when he was 18 months old. He had not been away from me very much and when he was, it was only with close relatives. So we were both nervous and I wasn't sure how he would settle. I had nothing to worry about at all. The staff are all equally amazing
and really took the time to get to know my son and meet all his needs.
Activities provided are outstanding and always so well thought out and delivered. I love the learning log to be able to see all my sons progress and next steps. The food is delicious and I am always asking for the recipes to recreate them at home.
I would absolutely recommend Little Acorns, the care they provide is outstanding! I look forward to my son's journey over the next 3 years.

Both of my daughters attend Little Acorns, with my youngest having been there since she was 5.5 months old.
Both girls have developed close friendships with their peers, and strong bonds with their warm, friendly teachers. The senior team are always supportive when needed.
The level of provision on
offer is first class, both in the individual room settings and also in the outdoor play area.
The food is great, so much so that we’ve been given the recipes for some of our girl's favourites so that we can replicate them at home.
Our eldest is now a competent swimmer and is also learning both Spanish and French. We love being able to see how they’re coming along via LearningBook.
In short, we’ve no hesitation in recommending this nursery.

We have recently moved to the local area and we have moved our daughter to this nursery. She has been going to a nursery for almost 2 years since she was 9 months old. She was very settled at her old nursery so we were very worried about moving her. Little Acorns did lots to reassure us and settle our
daughter in, we loved the 'homely' feel to the nursery which matched her previous one. We had previously visited other purpose-built nurseries and we left feeling like they were cold and unwelcoming.


They listened to what she was like and accommodated all our needs and made the decision to put her into pre-school class. Since the move, our daughter has flourished and loves her new classmates and teachers.


We look forward to the next few years while our daughter continues to grow from a little acorn.

My daughter has been at this nursery since she was 7 months old and absolutely loves it. We spent a very long time looking at all of the nurseries in the area and chose Little Acorns because I felt that the staff were genuinely interested in my child. After just a few sessions everyone knew her name
and greeted us with a smile, it was so warm and welcoming. The manager is always available should you need her and knows everyone by name. The excitement on my daughters face when I ask her if she wants to go to the nursery is all I need to know that I made the right choice.

Both my son and daughter have attended Little Acorns since they were 9 months old. When my first child started I was naturally anxious about leaving my son in the care of people I didn't know. However, the staff at Little Acorns are fantastic. They are warm, welcoming and show what appears to be a genuine
fondness for the children in their care. They are never too busy for a chat or a kind word in passing. I feel that Little Acorns really does aim to give children the best possible experience and encourages them to thrive during their time here. I would recommend it to anyone. My son will be leaving nursery to go to school next year and I only wish I could keep him in Little Acorns for longer as it's such a lovely place!

A well run and excellent nursery, my little boy has been at nursery for the last 4 years and has now left for school. He has extra needs and the nursery staff have made his time at nursery extra special, doing training to help him with day to day life.


Luckily my daughter has now started at this

nursery and I know she will be well looked after.


I would highly recommend this nursery to anyone with children, a great learning environment with excellent facilities and a lovely garden/play area for the children to learn and explore.

My daughter started at Little Acorns when she was 9 months old and recently left for school.
The staff are extremely attentive and caring. It always amazes me that all the staff knew and remembered my daughter's name, even when she moved rooms. All the team are genuinely interested in her experiences
outside of nursery and in supporting the family and are happy to offer advice and tips on how to best support your child, after all, they are the experts.
The management team are again very supportive, available and approachable. Many times I sought support to which it was unconditionally offered.
My daughter enjoyed every minute of being at the nursery. Especially in the summer when most days are spent in the garden. The nursery always looks to evolve, to incorporate new learnings, and I had no concerns over her rate of development, most of all they encouraged her to be herself. The staff brought values, morals and structure that echoed our families own.

My son has been at Little Acorns since he was 8 months old and is leaving soon, ready to start school. Throughout his time there, staff have always gone above and beyond to help him progress with his development. He recently attended the Just Nature days, where a group of four children go offsite and
explore the outdoors. He thoroughly enjoyed each of the six sessions and has continued to talk about them, even though some were a few weeks ago. The most recent and final trip was to Rivington. We often go there as a family, but on Sunday, our son insisted on leading the way and taking us to the places that he had been to with nursery. I was amazed at how confident he was in guiding us around and talking about what he had learnt about the castle there. Some of the walk was quite steep. Previously he would have been extremely cautious and reluctant to climb up and down. But since attending the trips, he has overcome those anxieties and was even encouraging me when he thought I needed it!

My little boy has been attending Little Acorns since January 2016 when he was 20 months old. He settled in straight away and has come on leaps and bounds. He is turning 4 in April and is getting ready to start 'big boy' school in September. My little girl started attending when she was 8 months old
and again she settled in really well with no issues. She is now 19 months old and loves going to nursery, she doesn't want to come home with me when I pick her up she loves it that much!


All the staff are really friendly and make the parents feel very at ease, they are always willing to help if you have any queries with anything.


My two love the staff. It is wonderful to see how confident they are becoming through the encouragement they receive.


I would definitely recommend Little Acorns.

Our son has been at Little Acorns nursery for over 6 months and he has settled in really well. The nursery staff were excellent when he first started going, really helpful with trying to keep his routine so he settled in quickly. Since then he has moved from the baby room to the upper babies and has
just recently moved to the infant room. The moves were always done when the staff felt that he would benefit from moving up as he was developing into different stages, and he has thrived and been really happy each time he has moved. There is always a wide range of activities that he gets up to daily and we are really happy that they go outside as much as they can do. He also really enjoys the food they provide, which is always varied and healthy, and we are frequently told that he has seconds. Overall, we are very happy with the nursery and feel confident that they are providing an excellent environment for our son.

I have used Little Acorns for both my children and would highly recommend it. Both my children have been happy at the nursery and I feel that they have progressed in their development due to the work that is done with the children whilst at the nursery. The resources on offer are brilliant and I feel
that there is plenty opportunity for the children to grow and develop. The nursery is always bright and welcoming, you always feel like the staff have time to speak to you at the beginning and end of the day and that they know your children well. I have recommended this nursery on more than one occasion and will continue to do so.

Our 2-year-old daughter started at this nursery in January. The taster sessions were great to ensure that she was settling in OK. They have assisted us with potty training and regularly inform on her progress. She has settled in very well and we couldn't be happier sending her there. One thing that
isn't offered, like at some nurseries is an end of day summary on paper or online link active service you can log onto to see your child's diary or feedback on their day.

Fantastic Nursery, my son has attended since he was one year old, he will be attending school this year, we will be very sad when he says goodbye. The staff are amazing, always friendly, happy and have great bonds with the children. They are so creative, inventive and pro-active with the activities
they organize, and they do something different, daily. My little boy is very happy there, and he will definitely be prepared for school.
Not forgetting their in-house chef, who cooks some amazing recipes, always healthy but enjoyable for the children

Our Son attended Little Acorns from 6months old. Due to health issues he was taken out for a short while but returned in January 17 - thankfully (and quite unusually) they had space to take him back as I wouldn’t have wanted him to go anywhere else!! The setting is amazing and the staff, from key workers
through to management are a real credit to the nursery. Our Son has needed additional support in a number of areas and nothing has ever been too much trouble, in fact, we’ve had fantastic support from Tracy and the team. Keep up the fantastic work...
