Holyrood Nursery Swinton is proud to be graded 'outstanding' by Ofsted in May 2018.

Holyrood nursery provides care for children from birth to five years of age throughout six large playrooms that are age-appropriate.

Each room provides quality resources in a stimulating environment. The nursery also has two rooms in which carers provide wrap-around care for a local school and a holiday club for children aged four to 11-years-old.

Holyrood also has a large outdoor space that has a sand and mud pit alongside a water pump that the children love to play with on a daily basis.

The nursery chef has been working with Holyrood since December 2005. Alongside making yummy food, she also enjoys covering in the rooms and her 'Cooking with Cath' sessions.

Children are central to all that staff do here so to make sure of this the nursery has a children’s committee, this allows the children to participate in decisions that will affect them at nursery.

The entire key person planning is based on the unique child principle taken from the EYFS document and this allows professionals to cater for and develop the child’s individual needs.

Holyrood provide a range of session patterns to suit all childcare needs including variable sessions, extra sessions and full-time discount.

The staff are super nice and caring, and you can really tell they love the kids. My son is always so happy there, which means a lot to us parents. The teachers are amazing at helping him grow and develop new skills. You can see they put a lot of thought into making sure the kids are having a great time
and the activities are very engaging.
They keep us parents in the loop all day about what the kids are doing, and it makes us feel connected and reassured. Communication is spot on!
There's plenty of space for the kids to play, both inside and outside, and the staff makes sure that the kids spend a good amount of time outside.
The management is just as kind and supportive as the rest of the team. My son started in the baby room and moved up to the Tweenies a few months ago. The transition was smooth, and they made it really well for him.
I highly recommend Holyrood Swinton. It's been a fantastic experience for us!

Our experience has been great! Both of our children have attended Holyrood Swinton and we would highly recommend it to other parents - in fact, we have a number of times!
The staff are brilliant, always welcoming and make the children feel at ease. You can tell they really care about what they do

After a not-so-great experience with a previous nursery, we have moved our son to Holyrood and we couldn't be happier with the choice we made. Everyone at the nursery is very lovely and caring, they are doing a great job. Our son loves going to nursery and participating in different activities, especially
football. We would highly recommend the nursery as it's a very nurturing environment and the staff are going above and beyond for the little humans.

The overall experience has been brilliant. The staff have been amazing with both me and my son, and have been nothing but accommodating. I was always anxious about leaving him as he gets overwhelmed in busy environments and with people he doesn’t know, so can get quite upset; however, we have now found
the best sessions for him, and he loves attending each day, walking in and out with a smile on his face. The staff have been excellent with referrals to specialists, getting the ball rolling ahead of time for my boy. They are always trying all different tactics for my son to thrive on play-plans, etc. He plays with different things now, tries new foods, and even takes part in activities even though he enjoys his own company. It is a comforting feeling to know your child is well looked after by caring, genuine staff and that he is in a safe, fun environment. It is also lovely to see the bond he has formed with the girls, as it shows his trust in them. Keep up the great work.

The best decision I ever made, moving my son to Holyrood, as it came at a time when I had to travel to the US, and the staff went above and beyond to help my son settle into his new surroundings.
The staff are all so lovely, warm and welcoming.
I knew from the very first visit that "this was the
nursery".
My son loves his time here and does not want to leave at the end of each day, not before a round of hugs from the staff.

My son has been in this nursery for 1 and 1/2 years and I can see the development progress in him. English isn't our first language and my son has picked up the language immensely. He is able to communicate with his friends and grow. From a very shy boy and becoming a bright boy and talking to other
people. He is able to express himself more clearly to others now. I am so grateful for the nursery and will be continuing to work alongside them to help develop my son. The staff are really supportive and kind. They help my son with every need that he has on a daily basis. Thank you for all the work they do to run a lovely nursery.

I have been so impressed with Holyrood from being shown around to my daughter starting and settling in, which took a bit of time but the staff were so patient. All of the staff are so friendly and you can tell they genuinely care about the children. I am really impressed by the meals my daughter has
whilst there, the menu has plenty of variety no plain, boring meals.
My daughter always seems to have a wonderful day with plenty of activities and playing outside. I receive updates throughout the day via the app which is really lovely, especially when they post moments, this really put my mind at ease when she was first settling in. I couldn’t recommend Holyrood enough and am so glad I chose to send my daughter there.

From first starting at the nursery my child has come on in leaps and bounds. The activities that they do and the arts and crafts he's always enjoying himself. He loves attending and has so much support from the staff as do I as a parent too. Anything I'm unsure of they are always willing to help. The
staff are always so polite and helpful and are there for the parents as well as the children. Lovely place to send your child and I'm so glad I chose the nursery.

The staff at Holyrood Swinton are amazing. My son has settled in really well, and after only a few months, he absolutely loves it here. His face lights up every morning when I drop him off, and he sees all of the staff's faces. I don't have to worry at all about leaving him there. Thank you so much

My daughter loves attending this nursery. She has built her confidence and her language skills because of the staff. The staff, the facilities and my daughter’s happiness make it really easy to leave her and continue to be a full-time working mum. It’s great for our family, and management is very flexible

I'm always made to feel welcomed into the nursery, the workers are keen to learn strategies to support children with English as an additional language. Both my children enjoyed their time at Holyrood Swinton where they developed a really close relationship with nursery staff.
I would rate this setting
really high, they have the resources to meet all children's needs. Facilities are great and with a strong and dedicated team, managed by a particular member of staff and I have one less thing to worry about when I leave my child there!

When you drop your kids off at the nursery door, it allows you the comfort of having to worry about one less thing. All the staff at the nursery are friendly, amazing and very caring. You have all the confidence in the world knowing leaving your child at this nursery they will get the love, care and
support they need as if they were at home with you. The nursery supports any concerns you may have regarding your child's development, achieved by the pragmatic approach the staff have to each child that attends this nursery. I have two children in this nursery, and both have been looked after in exemplary fashion, which shows that this isn't just well-trained staff; it is a culture throughout the nursery that they do things right each and every time. Should anyone think of sending their children to the nursery, they can rest assured that they have put their child's welfare first and foremost with this decision.

Since our son started at this nursery he has reached milestones we once thought may not be impossible. He has and continues to thrive. The staff have been nothing short of amazing, supportive, accommodating and just a pleasure to deal with. It is clear why the staff at this nursery are in this profession!
They are always helpful, and generous and just make it so easy for the children to attend. Our son loves going to nursery especially when he is greeted with a big smile and open arms. We have never had any issues or complaints with any of the staff members. The whole team including cooks, cleaners etc is what makes Holyrood as awesome as it is. The teamwork helps the nursery to thrive like it does and I am so happy it is the nursery I chose for my son. Leaving your child at the doors for someone else to care for is a really daunting experience but Holyrood have made this transition so much easier and I know in my heart I made the right choice for my son to begin his education journey.

We cannot fault Holyrood Swinton at all, they have taken wonderful care of our son and he has simply thrived since starting at the nursery.
The staff are friendly, cheerful, caring and enthusiastic about their work. They genuinely enjoy looking after the children and the environment is more like that
of a big family.
The children are encouraged to explore, play outdoors and are the staff make an effort to provide educational and fun visitors, it was small animals today!
We can’t thank the staff enough for looking after our son so well.

My little boy loves coming to nursery, he is very well looked after and there always seems to be plenty going on during the day with activities and soft play etc. The facilities are great and the staff are very friendly and always helpful. Glad we chose Holyrood Nursery Swinton.
