Little Red Day Nursery is a purpose-built nursery in Ashton-under-Lyne, built with the care and development of children as highest priority. Built into a modern bright and inspiring day nursery with ample parking, the nursery is sure to be the right choice for you and your child.

Little Red Day Nursery offers excellent facilities. Each room creates an environment that has been designed with a focus on the unique needs of children.

Love this nursery extremely friendly informative and well organised. Really good quality care and very attentive. Nothing too much trouble very flexible. Would definitely recommend it. All the staff have been wonderful don't want my little child to leave, we will miss you all.

Wonderful nursery with caring staff.
I've had an excellent experience at this nursery. The staff members are not only incredibly helpful and friendly but also genuinely invested in each child's development. They take the time to track progress and plan engaging activities. Overall, it's a great place

I have sent a few of my foster children to Little Red, I wouldn't go anywhere else. The staff team are amazing nothing is too much trouble for them. The children enjoyed going and had lots of fun while learning at the same time. Communication is brilliant you can log on through the day to see what they
are doing and what they have eaten. It is a warm welcoming nursery with lots of things going on I especially loved watching the chickens hatch and grow each day.

My little girl has attended the nursery since she was 18 months old and she absolutely loves it. Everything is very well communicated, I always know what is going on and there is a variety of activities and events for the children to get involved with. Everyone is very welcoming and caring and my daughter
is really happy here. She has learnt a lot and her development has come on leaps and bounds. She is now 4 and due to go to school in September, I know she will be really sad when it's time to leave and so will I!

My little boy with SEN needs came here in February after his old nursery closed down. As he struggled at his previous nursery I was worried about how he would settle in at a new place with the environment being different and his routine changing. There was no need to worry at all as he settled in straight
away and you would have thought he'd been attending for ages! My little boy has come on so much since joining and the amount of care and attention the staff give to him has been amazing. I have nothing but praise for the staff here. They are so supportive, friendly and accommodating all while being professional.

As a parent, I am happy with my decision for my child to start nursery at Little Red. My child has always been a happy child. Always looks forward to going to nursery. The staff are polite, friendly and supportive. The children have food and great healthy snacks. My child enjoys the food. The children
have a good playground and other different types of outside activities. It is also very clean. l would recommend to other parents who are thinking about where they want to send their children to nursery. I am very happy that my child has great early learning at Little Red Nursery.

I would like to see more photos and updates of my child's day. At the previous nursery, I received daily photos and updates so I could see exactly what they were doing. Sometimes I don't get any info or photos for what seems like a few weeks.
A lot of the time my child's upset when I drop them off
and ask if they can let me know how they get on, most of the time no one gets in touch.
Doesnt seem to be a lot of outdoor play. At the last nursery, there was a lot of outdoor nature play which I think my child misses.

Thank you for your honest review, we do appreciate our customer's feedback. We acknowledge that communication with parents is very important and staff are expected to give updates to parents both verbally on collection and on the nursery app. We encourage our staff to spend good quality time engaging with the children rather than using the tablet and missing interactions and learning opportunities with the children. Staff do carry out regular observations each term on the child's learning journey, these may include photos and are used to complete the developmental milestones and assessments of the child. All our children get opportunities throughout the day to explore the outdoor areas, they also have access to free-flow play between the classroom and the covered outdoor classroom, encouraging the children to choose where they would like to play and become independent thinkers.

The manager is always very accommodating and I cannot fault the running of little red.
The staff in the baby's room and waddlers too who have looked after my child are amazing.

My son started here when he was 11 months old, he's 4 now and everyone from this nursery has been brilliant with him.
They picked up on his SEN needs, referred him on to be assessed and integrated routines into his days to make it a little easier for him.
The rooms are large, and there's different
activities set up every day for the children to interact with. Children get lots of interaction with the teachers who are all absolutely lovely.
The garden and cabin is a fantastic outside area and there's toy town too, which has soft play and a role play area. They have extra activities like dance and PE, and sometimes do trips to the library or park. They do themed workshops during special occasions for parents and children which are always fun. The nursery is always clean and the dinner menu always offers variety. They took a fish allergy seriously. It is a little expensive but I think the standard of care given makes it well worth it. Never had a single safeguarding concern.

Excellent members of staff for my daughter, I’ve never had an issue with any member of staff or any problems with both of my children at nursery. Great place for them to play and learn and make some great friends.
Both children have always come out happy and been excited to go to nursery.
The app
is brilliant to, lets you see how your child is getting on during each day with there food/nap times.
Special mention to the staff members in toddler room who go the extra mile to keep my daughter happy. It’s very much appreciated, so thankyou, to all staff.

My daughter has been attending since December last year and as first-time parents, we were both understandably worried. The staff are so welcoming and friendly and really eased our nerves. Our girl loves nursery! They always have some great little events and activities for the children and parents to
join in. Our girl is learning so much and really benefitting from nursery time.

My son has recently started at Little Red and I have been really impressed by how professional and friendly the staff are. My son has settled in really quickly to the nursery and he loves the soft play area and the cabin outside. He is always telling us interesting things he has been doing at the nursery.
The staff keep you updated through the app so you know what your child has been eating each day and it is easy to message the staff through the app with any questions or concerns you may have.

The best nursery that I found for my kid. My girl loves to go to pre-school. Lots of activities to improve your child's abilities. My child's communication skills in English improved within a few weeks even though she is bilingual and we speak different languages at home. Her food habits improved and
she likes the nursery food menu. Very supportive and kind staff. Well-organised nursery. I will recommend it to all.

Brilliant nursery all the staff are lovely. My son was here until he started school and he loved it. Now my daughter is going here and she loves it. Never had a bad experience and if you need to talk to the manager she's lovely and very understanding.

The staff and manager are amazing they notice things in your children early that need extra help and support. Their communication is always on point. They always communicate when needed. The nursery holds events and parties which cater for all.

Staff are lovely, very welcoming and grow a bond with each individual child, my son can not wait to get there each morning.
He comes home telling us what he’s done and how much he’s enjoyed it everyday.

My little boy has attended this nursery since he was 1 year old and I can’t fault it one bit. The communication with parents (via the app) is great. The staff are always welcoming and make us feel part of the family. The food he has daily is healthy and delicious and we are also able to have flexible
sessions to fit around my husband’s shifts. My son is now in pre-school and they have been preparing him for the move to school. He’s grown in confidence and built up some essential skills in the last six months thanks to the hard work of the staff. The best thing about Little Red is the different areas that the children can make use of. They have a great outside area with an outside cabin and a soft play area (with a slide etc) and a role-play toy town area inside. They have guests (music man and dance teacher) every week too. There’s lots of variety so no day is the same for the children.

My child is always having and always has a great day in nursery. The staff at Little Red Nursery are absolutely brilliant which makes me feel welcomed. The staff are also helpful, considerate, polite, patient and they are always happy. Little Red Nursery is one of the cleanest and spotless places l
have ever seen it always smells nice. Children at Little Red Nursery eat a well-balanced diet and when l ask my child what she eats in the nursery she always explains the food is nice and that she enjoys the food. I love that my child is attending Little Red Nursery. Thank you.

My child settled into this nursery easily with the help of all the staff. They made her feel welcome and she loves coming home and telling me about what so and so did. All the staff are so friendly and I am so glad I chose this nursery, my child will be so sad to leave in a few months but I know she's
had the best time. They constantly have new ideas for activities and they're always exciting. Any child would be lucky to go here knowing they are well looked after.
