Kids Planet Hazelhurst is housed in a thoughtfully designed two-story facility situated on a 0.6 acre property with fantastic outdoor play areas, such as a yurt, construction zone, Summer house and mud kitchen. My son has been attending here for almost a year. He is now in the tots class. All the staff are very welcoming and friendly. They all show a great interest in my son, and have all always have Knowledge as to what he is eating and doing in the day. I have never had a problem and will continue to recommend
this nursery to all my family and friends. It's a beautiful nursery!

My daughter has been at the nursery for 2 months in the baby room and I cannot praise the team enough. They are always happy and smiley with cuddles for my little girl when she comes through the door. If she is upset when I leave they make sure she has focused care and help distract her. At the end
of the day they are knowledgeable about her day and use so much positive language it makes my heart burst. I trust the team unreservedly with my child. The space for my child to play and develop in is well thought out and welcoming. They also get to go on trips out to the park and local walks so my girl gets to be in nature and experience different environments. They also serve a wide variety of foods. There is an app that keeps you up with your child's day. I would like to see more on this app but I understand that caring for the children comes before uploading pictures and I am grateful they prioritise the little ones. I am so happy I found this nursery.

My grandson recently started at Hazelhurst he is a child with complex needs and has Downs Syndrome. The manager and all staff have been fantastic in how they have catered to my grandson's needs and the care given to him. When trying to seek a placement in a nursery for him we found it difficult due
to his extra needs and care. The manager was so accommodating to his needs, and nothing was too much trouble. I am so happy he's now in Hazelhurst Nursery as I feel this really is the best place for him to be and he could not be cared for anywhere better. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this nursery to anyone every staff member has been really professional and caring and Hazelhurst definitely deserves to be acknowledged for this.

My daughter has attended this nursery since Kids Planet took over. I had initial concerns as a lot of the staff were new so there was a lot of change but my concerns were listened to and my suggestions actioned immediately by management. I am impressed by their response and communication and my daughter
is very happy here.

Extremely competent and very approachable staff. Very informative about your child and their plans for your child. I also found management very accommodating in the needs of my grandson who is special needs.

Initially some issues when the nursery was taken over but once settled staff are friendly and caring, management team supportive and helpful excellent variety for food choices and brilliant facilities.

Friendly and caring staff. Warm and cosy environment. Lovely outdoor spaces. Varied activities - playing and learning. Good food options for breakfast, lunch and tea. Staff will alert you if they feel your child is not well or not feeling themselves.

My son is in toddler 1 room and my husband and I are really pleased with how quickly he has settled in. The staff and his key worker in particular are warm, caring and seem to have a great relationship with our son. He seems to enjoy the food and is always happy when we collect him at the end of the

Kids Planet took over our nursery in Spring of 2024. Although it took some time to embed new processes, the nursery is working very well. All rooms and equipment have been updated and the building feels warm and welcoming.
The staff are excellent with the children and I feel my daughter has a bond
with the team. I feel like my daughter is safe and well cared for in nursery and what's more, she enjoys her time there.
Staff encourage the children's development and work with them to ensure they are meeting their development milestones. Staff provide a debrief each day of how my daughter has been and communication with parents is good.
I would recommend the nursery to other parents without hesitation.

My child has been attending this nursery since before Kids Planet took over. The nursery was a great place before Kids Planet took over but has become even better since the takeover. The staff have always been great. Facilities have become even better. My child enjoys coming to nursery and has a close
bond with every nursery team member. The area of the nursery means it's quiet and you feel the added protection of not being on a main road. The window at the front door means the security is high of who is entering the building. I would recommend and always do to friends and family.

Job Title: Nursery Manager

I am Level 3 Childcare Qualified and have worked in Early Years settings since 2016. I started in a private day nursery as an apprentice, and when I qualified in 2018, I progressed through Kids Planet, first becoming the Manager at Kids Planet Astley Bridge, Bolton. In June 2023, I moved to Kids Planet Leigh as manager, supporting the acquisition and improving the nursery for the children, families, and staff team.

I have done a variety of training to upskill myself, and I am also Paediatric First Aid Trained as well as a Mental Health First Aider and the Designated Safeguarding Officer. During my time at Kids Planet, I have faced a lot of challenges and learnt a lot along the way.
