My son has been going to this nursery since he turned 2. He will turn 4 in July and absolutely loves it! I was so nervous when he first started nursery but he settled in so well. All the staff are caring and get to know the children. My son talks about them all the time. They cannot do enough for the
child and parent. Their app is amazing and helps you track what your child has done throughout the day as well as what they've eaten. I will be sad when he leaves to go to school as I'm sure he will be. Would recommend to everyone!

Our son has attended little owls Nursery since October 2022.
He loves going to nursery and is always so excited to see everyone when we say "are we going to see the ladies" he gets so excited! He is so settled there and all the staff are lovely, and you can tell they genuinely care about the children.
We can see the positive impact the nursery has had on his development. He has grown in confidence and his speech is coming on wonderfully. Thank you to you all! It’s not an easy job that you do it is one of the hardest..you do a fantastic job! We are lucky to have you all.

My daughter has been attending Little Owls Day Nursery for over two years and, in that time, she has always been very happy and well looked after. She absolutely adores the staff and is always excited to go in each day. I’m really pleased with the range of activities she gets to do, including swimming
and dancing, but what makes this place extra special are the extra little touches that make parents and our children feel valued. The management are very friendly, approachable and welcoming and has always accommodated us and our needs. I will be sorry when it is time for us to move on!

Both my girls have attended Little Owls Day Nursery and both have enjoyed attending. The nursery has a very homely feel about it. They have a good variety of activities. The outdoor play is fantastic. The meal plans are over a 3-week period and again is a good variety. The online app is great for talking
to my child about what she has done in nursery. When they turn 3 they are able to go swimming with nursery, which again is a great advantage.
Both my girls are summer babies and Little Owls gave my eldest the best start to the education system.
The staff are warm and welcoming.

Our son started Little Owls in March and I am so glad we choose there. He is so happy and settled there and that tells us everything we need to know! The staff are lovely and he loves going into them in the morning. Even if he has been feeling a little offside the staff have been lovely with him. The
activities they do with the children are very good and we have noticed how this has brought on his development further already! Thank you so much we know he will be very happy here.

My daughter loves going to her preschool, they do lots of activities and the outdoor area is fabulous. She always mentions the staff like they're her best friends and is always excited to go. After organising a personal speech development plan in October she's come on leaps and bounds and is a successful
chatter box now!

My little boy has been with Little Owls since he was 7 months old and is a very clingy baby. He has grown so much under their care. He loves every minute of his days there.
The staff go above and beyond in their care and communication.
He gets so excited when he knows he’s going.
The activities
are varied and allow for his development.
The food is excellent (he’s a foodie) and offers so much variety.
I cannot recommend Little Owls enough. They are amazing!

My son started here in March 2022, he was 8 months old and since then he has come on leaps and bounds he loves it here and he loves the girls.
I was very nervous at first leaving him at nursery but he settled in well and the log app makes it easy to see what he's done throughout the day.

Our little girl has been going to Little Owls for 9 months now and we have nothing but praise for this nursery. The staff are amazing and extremely helpful and welcoming. Our daughter is excited every morning to go and see the staff and her friends. I feel she has learned so much since being here and

My daughter has been coming to Little Owls for nearly two years she loves coming to the nursery and loves the staff and every day she loves telling me and her daddy what she’s done that day. As a parent, I’m extremely happy with the service the nursery provides for my daughter the manager and staff
are lovely and friendly and always approachable to my daughter and me and her daddy. I’m so made up with every aspect of my daughter's learning and just how much we as a family love the staff that our new baby girl will be starting in February next year and I couldn’t be happier leaving her with the staff as I know she will be welled looked after just like her big sister is now. The nursery came highly recommended to me and I’m very happy to be sending my daughter and soon my littlest daughter there as I know they are in good hands.

My daughter has been attending little owls day nursery since she was 7 months old she is now due to leave to attend school in September. I’m very happy with both management and staff both are always smiling , welcoming and professional at all times. The staff provide so much love and care to each child
and the children are always engaged with new and exiting activity’s my daughter loves it. My son will be joining in September and I cannot wait for him to have and learn new experiences with the little owls gang this nursery is absolutely brilliant and I’m one happy mummy knowing that they care for my baby’s 100% the way I do , as a nervous mummy returning to work I feel 1 million percent reassurance from both management and staff they are passionate about the children in there care and it shows and I’m proud that my children attend , thank you little owls day nursery I would be completely at a loss without you all xxx

Little owls is a fantastic nursery! I feel so privileged that my daughter has a place here. I know every morning when I drop her off that she is going to have the best day ever and she adores the staff working there. The staff all know my daughter on a personal level and know exactly what she likes
and dislikes. The manager is extremely accommodating when I need extra days in nursery. From a primary teacher’s perspective, this is an outstanding nursery in every way, in my opinion.

Fantastic nursery. Lovely, caring staff, my little girl loves it here and has been here for nearly 2 years. They organise lots of fun activities every day and have a lovely outdoor area. She’s always telling me how much fun she’s had… and asks to go to nursery at the weekend!

On Monday 16th May at 2pm in the afternoon (whilst I was at work). This was to advise that my daughter’s childcare offer from Little Owls would be reduced by 50% from the following week due to staff shortages.
There had been no forewarning that this may be the case; no indication from the staff at
any point that the situation had become this severe.
Furthermore, how is this sort of timescale allowed, considering if I wanted to remove my daughter from their nursery I was expected to give 4 weeks' notice?
The nursery continued to take on new children, despite being aware of the national staffing shortages and had absolutely no contingency plan were staff to leave.
Moreover, I received no fair and transparent explanation as to how my daughter had been chosen to cut her hours.
My daughter has been extremely unsettled at her sudden change in setting and it has had a significantly detrimental impact on her.

Little Owls Standish cancelled 50% of our child care with less than a week's notice and we’re not able to explain how children were selected.
We spoke to the manager, so said a lot of staff had left. I had a few questions:
1. Is the notice period so short you’d allow all your staff to be able to
leave?
2. Why as an organisation do you not have business continuity plans for this happening?
Little Owls provided a social media statement blaming the government although if you speak to all the other local nurseries in Standish they are not struggling.
The ladies who work in the rooms are nice although in my opinion the management there are showing they do not have the best interest of the children who attend. The unacceptable timescale to find replacement childcare.
If you are thinking of sending your child to Little Owls ask yourself how would you sort long-term childcare with less than a week's notice?
