You and your child will love the beautiful nursery in Broadgreen, designed to support your child’s development from the age of 3 months to 5 years.

They care about the individual needs of every child. The nursery is laid out to give your little one the best age-specific environment in which to flourish, and they have a SENCO (Special Education Needs Coordinator) on-site for children who require an extra level of support.

The Broadgreen nursery baby room is split into Under 1s and 1-2s, allowing the team to tailor the care to each specific developmental stage. They separate the garden by age into four sections, so that indoor learning can be consolidated in a new, fresh environment that is modified for each age group.

For preschoolers, they focus on the unique Growing Enhancements programme to encourage natural curiosity to learn. This focuses on reading, writing and mathematics, alongside vocational subjects such as art and cooking, to help lay the foundations for future academic and creative achievements.

Community is also important to the team and they take the children on regular nature walks and library visits, to strengthen their knowledge and familiarity with their local area.

The setting is situated in the grounds of Broadgreen Hospital, with a buggy storage area for your convenience. There is also a dedicated Parent Room with sensory equipment for babies.

My daughter started Bright Horizons at 9 months old she is now leaving preschool to start reception. The staff are exceptional and have been nothing but helpful and supportive. She has learned so much during her time here I would highly recommend it.

Our son joined Bright Horizons Broadgreen Day Nursery and Preschool in May after 8 months of being in and out of lockdown with little to no interaction outside of our household. The staff in the nursery have gone above and beyond to socialise him into his new surroundings and have been so supportive
to us as parents. He loves going to nursery and has settled in so well, it has brought us such relief knowing he is happy. We are both very grateful to all the staff for all that they do!

When my wife was looking at different nurseries in the area, she instantly saw a difference between Bright Horizons Broadgreen Day Nursery and Preschool and the others. The staff at Bright Horizons were friendly and engaging, the children just seemed happier there were multiple activities to engage
with the children.
The staff at the nursery are extremely friendly and helpful, you can tell that they really enjoy helping the children learn and grow but most of all having fun doing it. Our daughter enjoys coming here so much so that most days she walks/runs into the room without saying goodbye. She is constantly talking about the fun she has had with not only the other children but the staff as well.
We have recommended this nursery to our friends who have enrolled their child as well.
The new app now means we can see how our daughter is doing during the day ie. toilet breaks, what she has eaten that day (too be fair she is fed better than me during the day).
Overall I would recommend this nursery in a heartbeat.

My son started in this nursery when he was 6 months old. I was really anxious for him to start nursery but thankfully this wonderful nursery and the amazing staff put all my worries at bay. My son is so happy and content after a day in Bright Horizon and I know he has had fun. I can’t thank the staff
in the baby room enough for the way they look after him and are always so friendly and welcoming. The app is also fantastic as I am able to check what he is up to while I am at work. Superstars! Highly recommend.

All staff are warm and welcoming and put my mind to ease when my little girl was settling in, she now loves nursery and you can see how much she loves the staff and how caring they are with her. If I'm ever worried, staff will always take the time to reassure me how she is that day. At the end of every
day, I get a day sheet telling me how she has been and what activities she has done that day and I can't thank you enough - all the staff and management for all the hard work.

My son has attended this nursery for around a year and has always been happy and excited when we pull up outside. I feel his needs have always been met and he is cared for so well by all staff. He has shown a massive improvement in his development and I feel this is due to his key worker planning appropriate
activities which has also supported his transition in his home life. I would highly recommend this nursery.

My son has been coming to this nursery since he was 10 months old and is now in preschool. All the staff are caring and approachable. Management have gone above and beyond to make sure my son's needs have been met, including emotionally and nutritionally. He has allergies and they have handled it perfectly
so I knew he was safe. I know he will be sad to leave for reception. My youngest will be starting soon. I’d recommend this nursery to anyone who would listen.

I have used this nursery for my two sons for five years now. I cannot fault the nursery and I have always felt confident in the care they give to my children. The staff are efficient in how they communicate with parents and during COVID 19 this has not altered. My children have always been cared for
and supported in an extremely happy environment. They are excited to attend the nursery and are welcomed every day by the friendly staff. My family very much appreciate the hard work of all the nursery staff in making these early years a very positive experience for my children.

I have had 2 children in the nursery - my youngest is currently in Preschool. We have been so pleased with the nursery throughout the last 5 years but never more so than during Lockdown. Without any hesitation, the nursery stayed open for key workers and made all necessary adaptations to keep things
safe. Throughout a very difficult time, the staff were always cheerful and caring and provided fun and stability for my daughter. We can’t thank them enough for all they have done. The outside space in the nursery is fantastic. The menus are healthy and varied. Most of all the staff are really excellent.

My son has been at this nursery for 2 and a half years now, having recently moved into preschool. The nursery have always been very supportive and attentive to his needs, with good effective communication wih us as parents. They have set clear, achievable goals and fed back to us on his progress. They

I absolutely love this place, both my boys have thrived here, and are truly loved. I couldn’t ask for a safer place to help them learn and grow.
Huge thanks to the staff, they’ve worked so hard to get all this social distance stuff right. And I believe they’ve done an incredible job, and all deserve

My son first started in the nursery in 2015. I was really impressed with how they interacted with children and the rapport they build up. So when I had my daughter in 2017, I was more than happy to enroll her in the nursery.
In March/April 2020 COVID happened and we went into lockdown. As a nurse
and keyworker, this was an extremely stressful time and apart from this nursery I had no one else to turn to regarding child care for my 3 year old daughter. The nursery manager and all the staff could not of been more supportive and I felt like they had gone out of their way to accommodate extra days that was required.
Even if COVID had not happened I would highly recommend this nursery as they are enthusiastic in role-play and teaching.
Communication has always been excellent and to a high standard
I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all of the team for the care they have given both my children.

My child has attended this nursery from January 2020. The staff and management team have helped my daughter settle in and she loves going to nursery. This is an excellent nursery. The staff are so warm and welcoming and they know all the children’s names, whether they are in their room or not. The communication is really good and I feel I can raise an issue if needed and it be dealt with professionally (not that I have needed to). They have adapted
to the pandemic amazingly and I am glad I moved my child to come here. I have 2 children who attend the nursery and I would definitely recommend them to care for your children. You feel
safe and secure to leave them there knowing they're are in safe, caring hands.

We send both our children to this nursery and both have developed brilliantly since starting. My son started in toddlers and is now in pre-school, the staff have been fantastic, very approachable and have given him the support he has needed for him to be ready for school next year. Our daughter is now
in the rising 3's and her speech has come on leaps and bounds. Could not recommend this nursery enough.

This is my second child at this nursery. My daughter enjoys her time here and learns so much. The staff work very hard and work long hours but always have a smile on their face. My child has been in the nursery for almost 18months, he settled into the nursery great with the support of the fantastic staff in rising 3’s.
The nursery have catered for his dairy allergy and have also supported us with his fussy eating (which has definitely improved thanks to the staff).
One of
the deciding factors for choosing this nursery was the outdoor play provisions. The children get lots of outdoor play regardless of the weather, which is important to me as my son loves playing outdoors.
They do lots of activities throughout the day and my son has flourished since being in Bright Horizons Broadgreen.
I cannot thank the staff and management enough.

With 23 years of childcare experience, Lorna's background includes working in nurseries, as a childminder, a playworker, and a leader for Rainbows and Brownies. She loves the outdoors and has a particular fondness for messy play. She delights in seeing little faces light up when they are elbow-deep in mud, gloop, or something else wonderfully messy, fully engaged and exploring their world. There is something truly special about hearing a child's laughter that makes her heart swell with joy.


Lorna is a mother to two adult children who have experienced nursery life, giving her a unique perspective on childcare from both a parent's and a professional's viewpoint. Although she does not have many hobbies, she has a deep love for music of all genres and has recently taken up crocheting.

Hi, I've worked at Broadgreen for just over two years. My journey in childcare started through volunteering, after completing double health and social care at A-level, I decided to move on and further my knowledge by completing a degree at university in Early Childhood studies.


I started at the nursery in 2015 as a nursery nurse after the completion of my level 6, within the year I progressed to preschool room leader, and during this time I developed my management skills and knowledge. In 2017 I was thankful that an opportunity opened for the deputy manager position, in which I was successful. I am passionate about my role within the nursery, and it's amazing working with such a fantastic team. I am excited to move the nursery forward and work alongside a manager that strives for outstanding.
