My daughter absolutely loves going to First Choice Nursery! The staff are truly wonderful - so caring and attentive. It's such a relief to be able to leave her in a place where I have full trust, knowing she's being treated with kindness and love. I couldn't ask for a better place for her and I'm so
grateful for the amazing team. Highly recommended to any parent looking for a nursery they can truly rely on.

Brilliant, lovely staff, daughter always excited to go every morning and would come home happy to explain what she had learnt and done in the day. I would recommend it to anyone. Good location also!

My son with severe developmental delay, nonverbal and non-mobile, was welcomed to their holiday club with open arms.
They adapted activities to suit his needs. I am very fussy when it comes to my son, but the staff verbalise everything about his day with them, activities, snacks, and dinners.
They
definitely went above and beyond to make sure his needs were met.
Can't wait to see you in October.
I couldn't ask for a better provision for my daughter as well, she has been at the nursery for over 2 years when she arrived she couldn't focus or talk and struggled emotionally due to her ASD. However, with the love and support of all staff, I can happily say she is thriving and has smashed her targets and is doing beautifully in school.

Excellent nursery and staff who really get to know your child to help them develop. The nursery has a family/home-from-home feel. My little one suffered with separation anxiety after covid but the staff soon had her full of confidence and having lots of fun. Highly recommended.

My son went to Burnett Nursery from being ten months old and is due to leave this week to start school and we could not have picked a better nursery. So much so, my second son will start in December. The nursery has a family feel and the girls treat the children as their own. They are also very flexible
which I have found to be rare in other nurseries. The activities and topics which they run with the children are fantastic. I could go on all day but Burnett really is a lovely, homely yet professional nursery and I would recommend it to anyone.

I love this nursery :) My goddaughter attends and is so happy there, always talking about the staff and the things she has done with them, they truly are like part of the family. The staff genuinely care for and love the children, and treat them as they would their own. The focus is on the children
being happy. The staff love their jobs and have all worked there for a long time, this shows on a daily basis by both their attitude to their work and to the children. Couldn't praise this nursery enough.

Current Review Score: 9.1 (9.089)

Overview of Review Score

The Review Score of 9.1 (9.089) out of 10 for First Choice Nursery is based on a) the Average Rating and b) the number of positive Reviews.

  • a) The Average Rating is 5.0 out of 5 from 4 Reviews in the last 24 months.

  • b) The score for the number of positive Reviews is 4.1 out of 5 from 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months.

Detailed Breakdown of Review Score

The maximum Review Score for a Day Nursery is 10, which is made up from the Average Rating of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) and the Number of Reviews (maximum of 5 points) in the last 24 months:

  • a) 5 Points are available for the Average Rating from all Reviews in the last 24 months.

    The Average Rating of 5.000 for First Choice Nursery is calculated as follows: ( (46 Excellents x 5) ) ÷ 46 Ratings = 5

  • b) 5 Points are available for the number of Positive Reviews in the last 24 months. A Positive Review is defined as any Review with an 'Overall Experience' of '4' or '5' (out of a max rating '5').

The 4.089 Points relating to the number of positive Reviews for First Choice Nursery is based on 4 positive Reviews in the last 24 months and is calculated as per below:

The 5 points available are broken down as follows:

    • i) 4 points are available for the first 10 Positive Reviews in the last 24 months; 3 points for the first Positive Review, and then 0.125 Points for each of the next four Positive Reviews and then 0.1 Points for the next five Positive Reviews. (1st = 3.000, 2nd = 0.125, 3rd = 0.125, 4th = 0.125, 5th = 0.125, 6th = 0.100, 7th = 0.100, 8th = 0.100, 9th = 0.100, 10th = 0.100) 3 + 0.125 + 0.125 + 0.125 = 3.375

    • ii) 1 point is available for the number of Positive Reviews reaching 20% of the number of registered child places in the last 24 months. If this number is partially reached, then that proportion of 1 point is given. eg a Day Nursery registered for a maximum of 50 child places has to reach 10 Positive Reviews to receive 1 point, if it has 7 reviews it will receive 0.7 points. 20% of the 28 number of registered child places is 5.6. 4 Positive Reviews ÷ 5.6 = 0.714

  • When a Review is submitted by someone who has previously submitted a Review, only the latest Review will count towards the Review Score.

  • If a Day Nursery does not have a review in the last 24 months, then it will not have a Review Score.
